As a fellow ADHD person, I think the reason it's easy to love and continue to enjoy music without getting bored and moving onto the next thin like we do with everything else is because it's constantly changing. I'm constantly finding new music that different. My music taste and the things I listen to change on a weekly basis, but I'm still listening to music. I love Hasan and Will but this pod really kind of shows their asses as not great interviewers. Loop things back to themselves way too much and take up way too much of the conversation. Glad Anthony was able to circle back but it gets frustrating.
I think if you view the podcast as more of a conversation than an interview you might get less frustrated with how will and hasan do things, I personally like the casual flow of conversation they seem to have with their guests. As for will taking the question, you would have to understand the fact that he is a massive music and edm fan/connoisseur and is very passionate about it. I very much doubt he meant to cut Anthony out of the equation but the question was about something he is so very into, he couldn’t help himself. Anyway, that’s just my thoughts on it.

@@BobCCLIV I come from a family of audio engineers so I feel your pain! But no you aren’t alone. Hopefully this is something they fix and reupload, but I am doubtful.
I think they record a mixdown of the audio tracks instead of the mics individually so there isn't much that can be done in post. I think they tried bringing Fantano up higher whenever Hasan wasn't speaking, but yes, I also found it somewhat distracting. Probably part of the problem is that they start the recordings without much prep time and so the assistant (Marth?) has to run around to get everything ready even when they are already rolling. But yes it is unfortunate. One of the worst offenders by far was when Ludwig was on with Karl Jacobs and they had 5 guests so they gave Ludwig a different condenser microphone which had a different latency to the SM7bs so a lot of the audio was plagued with heavy echo and phasing. I think they do use some sort of gating in the live mix but in that case because the condenser mic was much more sensitive than the dynamics, it picked up when other people were speaking and so it muddled the sound with delayed echoy signal. Anyways I wonder what kind of recorder/mixer they are using. Sometimes i feel like they also cut the cameras live and then just have a single master recording, although it feels a little harder to believe because the assistant was walking around as the cameras were being cut in the opening on this episode.
