Very cool! Is there any way to transfer audio racks between Ableton and the app (and vice versa)? Would be a game changer if you could work on launchpad projects on mobile but at the end of the day be able to still import to Ableton. Very cool and informative video man 😊
Yea it would be cool to be able to turn a mobile project into an als file. If you really wanted to do some digging into the app I bet you could find the necessary files to do that
Im getting a launchpad but all the work you need to do to set up one song and how complicated it is really put me off it. I am an Entertainer for kids parties, and am simply looking for something easy to set off certain samples at certain times, for example "Now it's time to sing Happy Birthday" *Press a button and there's the song... Or "Now it's time for musical statues" *Press a button and a custom song starts... Because at the moment I'm using a laptop running Rekordbox DJ with a DJ controller and it's a pain in the bum, so fiddley in between games and songs... I think this could be my perfect solution, what do you think?
On my opinion: Really, its meh the lights look nice but the slicing of samples would be hard. It would be hard to make clean slices from sample to sample but overall it looks nice (better than unipad anyway :P)
Fyregold you can find it on the accessories page on apple.com. The 3rd generation adapter is easily recognizable becuase it has both a usb and a lightning port instead of just a usb port. The way it works is that you plug the adapter into a charger, and then connect the adapter to your phone, THEN vonnecting your phone. The launchpad will draw power from the charger instead of your phone. Hopes that help :)

Software isn't just as simple as, oh we can just flip a few switches and it'll be on mobile devices. Plus, Ableton is used for WAY more than launchpad. In fact, it's main purpose isn't even for launchpad, it's just something people figured out you could do with Ableton.

samprock If you have a phone case that charges your phone take it off and put the device in low power mode just in case, if that doesn’t work I dont know

I am having a struggle with connecting m launchpad mk2 to my iPad (2017). My launchpad requires to much power and i came across a video in which someone showed how to put a launchpad on low power mode, but that was on a launchpad mini. Can someone help me out how i can turn my mk2 on low power mode? Or is there no such thing?

Hey bro, thanks for asking, but yeah, it's a lot easier to use SuperPads Lights, my minor gripe is that it I have to do a small work around when I want to import samples like going into other music production software then make my own sample and import from there, saving it into a folder for a specific kit then going into the kit that you want to add the sample in, not really a gripe for me, but just a small work around but that's expected and it worked really well, as long as the launchpad X connects to the app via USB midi and working problem with little to no latency, you should be good to go :) but unfortunately I don't own a launchpad I just used my phone screen, so I don't know if it will work or not, sorry bro :(

I was going to buy a launchpad but then I was thinking about it like it is very complicated setting it up and then I saw you video and now I am thinking to myself “yep I am definitely buying one”
Hey Kaskobi, I tried using it but it isn't like the video one bit. It is supper glitchy and laggy. Plus it doesn't even save your previous sample when you go to the next one. This makes it impossible to time two samples back to back.
Be sure to get the Phantom skin! After all it is the best one by far.

Yeah - if you have an Apple product, you need the 3rd generation adapter.
If you have 1st or 2nd generation, the launchpad doesn't get enough power :/
