1968 Big Block Nova Review & Test- Drive

- Right here is one intimidating car. This menacing 1968 Chevrolet Nova Restomod is a true street machine, ready to tear up the streets at any moment. With loads of restomod features such as a massive V8 Big block engine with aluminum heads, a cowl hood, an aggressive stance, crazy performance, and eye-catching wheels, what else is there to want from a street racer such as this? Powered by a massive Big Block engine paired to a 4-barrel carburetor and an MSD ignition system, this Nova goes like hell, believe me. All that power gets to the rear wheels with a 3:55 Posi and through an updated 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission, which shifts as if this Nova was on the dragstrip at all times. The black paint gleams beautifully, but it only adds to the intimidating feel of this car. The car also has an aggressive stance to compliment the paint and wheels, as if the car wants you to know it should be taken seriously. The black vinyl bench seats on the interior are comfortable but the interior is also spartan, befitting of a true street machine. This scary '68 comes with a plethora of performance options, including a 4" cowl hood, aluminum heads, an aluminum radiator, an MSD ignition system, a chrome engine bay, aftermarket headers, under-dash performance gauges, radio delete, a heater, power steering, and an incredibly mean-sounding dual exhaust system. To add to the aggressive feel of this Nova, it rides on some sweet-looking Ridler wheels on top of some performance-oriented Cooper RS3-GT tires. This Nova is on our lot now, looking for a new home. After all, all it needs is a driver to get it back out to the strip!

move those gauges to the right on top of the hood scoop, and put a 45degree bend in the shifter and then plumb it back up off your leg, awesome ride !! didnt catch the engine? 454? for sale ,lol.
My dad's last car was a 70 Nova, didn't look like this one. The hood is a pinch too tall for me but I wouldn't kick it out of my garage either.. Merry Christmas boys!!
Great choices on cars guys! I'm impressed
Nice machine guys. Thanks for showing.
Dude do not mess with that stance she's gorgeous as is!
Huge Nova fan and this one is a class act
Good to see a company that spends the time to fix and upgrade vehicles before selling.
Menacing sure fits this beast, this car is all about that motor, I don`t like the hood, but everything else works for me. I like the traction bars yellow, that`s a beautiful idle, thanks guys.
Old man had a 71.... Small block out of one of the pro stock cars built by Glen personally the crews mechanic.... They would take the cranks out of the 400 small blocks from the school buses they were stronger.... All hand built and ported ol skool 383!! In a 71 Nova on the street thing was a machine. . Unfortunately I only really remember looking out the little back window Ripping insideways through intersections... And The two-door Caprice that was bone stock but it was one of my favorites. I remember playing with the hood ornament
You guys have had some nice cars lately.
Quality stuff too. It's hard to find fault.
Outstanding look
Insane! Way cool!
Beautiful car. I would like to see it in black cherry. Great vedio.
WOW BEAUTIFUL NOVA WHAT A BEAST YOU DONT SEE THESE BEAUTIFUL CARS NO MORE CLASS BEATY AND STYLE 👍
I had a 69 Nova. I love the cars.
That is super clean 👍
Dam , I had a 72 black on black , weld wheels , but no big block, takes me back seeing this one
What a beauty..
This is my Dream car.
I'm in Love 😍👍🏼
Badass!!
Reminds me of my 69 Chevy Nova I had :)
Cool nova
This one is perfect
I have never liked the looks of a nova but this one rocks
One bad ass hot rod is an understatement. Gives me wood.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Had one when I was 20 yrs old. It was bad A$$
awesome car
Amazing for a “compact” car they could still easily accommodate a big block under the hood 😮.
Best of all, you don't see a lot of em @ car shows. I like Camaros, Stang's & Cudas but they're everywhere.
There was BB 396 option in Nova SS. Basically same room under hood as Camaros of that vintage and those could also be had in BB version.
very nice
Built a 1970 Chev Nova, 327, 4 speed for a friend in 1976. Easily got the front wheels off the ground. Simple car.
What size is the big block.
She’s the TRUTH!!!
Do you guys still have the Nova???
How much for this beauty?
Dream car
Those traction bars look good yellow but... that's just an opinion. I'm sure black will look just fine. 🤔First thing I noticed though.
✓ Had on '74 Z28 I used to have back when... (They help).
Was the nova sold?
would love to see one with all new tech, dual clutch tranny, back up camera etcc, 😎 and with a n/a engine that makes 800hp
I don’t know about that. You gonna lose control easy. This car is meant for 500-600 tops. Unless your drag racing
This little car was one incredible car if you had any where with all back in the day and you could build this motor a little bit it was virtually unbeatable we raced 442 and I had a hemikuta but I'm not sure if the hemikuta could have beat this car we had up in Erie PA back in the day it was running about 560 horsepower and it was just brutal but it's got to be 1 of the greatest little cars ever built Good luck with it..
move those gauges to the right on top of the hood scoop, and put a 45degree bend in the shifter and then plumb it back up off your leg, awesome ride !! didnt catch the engine? 454? for sale ,lol.
Sharp as a tack !
🖤
Torque thrust ll , change the exhaust, I did it column, Vette wheel, slide a link, leave it low.
Cool! Let's 🏁
Love this car man what a beauty!
No discs on the front though?
C normale dans c'est année la c était 4 tambours
Absolutely love the rubber mat floor board. If your date spills her beer or she ralf's in it. Would be an easy clean up. Lmao. Love the car.
Very nice Nova 👍👍👍 how much
I thought I had this car pegged for a 396/375 car until I saw it was an automatic car with steering column select shift. Now thinking it was a small block car.
40k!! There goes my retirement
It’s hard to pass as a sleeper with that hood scoop
Yes
Any Mopars?
Woo hoo!
Nice Nova, but discs up front are pretty important to have. Manual drums are ancient
Looks good from this angle but you would have to test drive it 🤣🤣🤠
700r4?? Or 200??
How much
Price
You are not supposed to have regrets in life but why did i sell my 68 Nova years ago and more importantly why did i watch this video to make me miss it even more 😢
I like 68 with rubber mats they were standard
Is there any room to negotiate on price?
Provide more details on the motor please? Size? Cam? Hp? Ect… to support $40k price….
How many miles on motor since built? Who built it? How about sharing the build sheet that way I have all the answers I need to make a sound decision????
👍👍👍✌🏁❗
👍🔥😝🔥👍
My latter bar's were always yellow, thay come from the manufacturer that way!
Yeah Iowa.. I like the flag flying in the back ground.. A.. marican.. traction bars needs some paint.. keep 'em yellow guys.. nice car
Nice car but black shows all the scratches
Please change that Grandpa steering wheel 😆
Big block and no cubic inches? No price = no idea of worth.
tiny rear tires
Does anyone know why,. The 3 BIG Auto makers
Design & build HI Performance cars? 1960's &1970's. To attract young buyers. 68 Nova. Straight 6 Cilinder. V8 motor 305 c.i. NO pollution Controls. Of any kind. This BIG BLOCK NOVA SS

I don't like the cowl. Way too tall.
