Bangotu - The most unique spot in Dharamshala || Himachal Series E07

Bangotu Village also known as Indrunag is Dharamshala's most unique spot. This place is located in a very remote location and you can visit here all year round using both public transport and private vehicles.
This place for me is one of the hidden gem of Himachal Pradesh and Bangotu Village has a school and a very tiny population, mostly farmers and goat herders.
On the way to visiting Dharamshala's highest point, Indru Nag is also famous for Paragliding since 2011., and if you continue on the road ahead, you will reach Bangotu Village where the road ends. There is a small plateau located at the hilltop which is used by paragliders as a launching pad for a 15-20 minutes ride. The altitude of the site is close to 2000 m and it offers a short but beautiful flight over the town of Dharamshala. The best time for paragliding at Indru Nag is between October and December.
We also got a glimpse of the famous slate mines of Khanyara are just 5 km from the paragliding site.
