The main difference besides having more tight race in midfield than at the front of the grid (which is ofc also important factor why Kimi is actually quite enjoying himself on Alfa) is that on Ferrari he had to do so much of this other media presentation stuff that he doesnt have to do so much more in Alfa, so he can be much more focused just on pure racing aspect again. Also there is no politics whatsoever in Alfa so he can count on the team to support him fully. People often tend to discount Kimi and not give him enough credit, but he wasnt that far off from pace of Vettel (except in 2015), in 2016 Kimi actually beat Vettel in qualifyng (not by huge margin, but did anyway), so even though ofc Vettel was the one to bring in 13 victories compared to Kimi's 1 during their time as team-mates, Kimi was still very consisten on scoring points as well especially in 2016 and 2018 seasons. Ofc replacing him Leclerc was right choice, Charles has already show as much, but Kimi has never stopped being a very solid driver who can bring the car home and score those points, even if he might not be as great as he once during his Mclaren years. For sure 2014 and 2015 seasons were definitely the lowpoints of his career, but aside from those he still continues to deliver, especially in midfield where is by far the most experienced driver and I think this season will really show that experience.
I'm a huge Ricciardo fan but it was pretty clear their contact was his fault. Hulkenberg gave him plenty of room but Danny didn't keep it tight for long enough as he was trying to setup for the next corner. Totally Danny's fault, glad it wasn't a race ender (I know that happened but would have been worse to take each other out)

Kimi Raikkonen from 2002-2006 was a TIER 1 driver. His quali performances began to suffer because of the Bridgestone control tyre (introduced in 2007), which hurt his driving style over one lap because they understeered and were hard to heat up - he was lost setup wise. But the Kimi of McLaren in the tyre war era was an unstoppable superstar. Looking at Alfa Romeo's onboards in the final stint of Bahrain, I can say Kimi's setup and driving looked amazingly good, better than anything he had at Ferrari in recent years and Ferrari 2007-2009. Alfa Romeo can do serious damage this year if they keep developing this car.
Alfa has good chance at 4th place with Kimi being constantly in the battle at top of midfield, but they also need Gio to start scoring some points as well.

Marcelo Sanjuan very different situations if you think about it. 1. Hulk was hit in the rear, therefore giving him oversteer which he had to correct. The hit would not have made a difference to the front wheels angle because it did not hit the front tyres! 2. Sainzs wheel was hit by Max, tyre wall to tyre wall on the front right tyre, which would most certainly put a load through the front and change the steering angle. Therefore, Hulk is just a reaction beast. As well at making his way through the field to be best of the rest before his car gave up 💔

Verstappen and sainz is interesting. Sainz overtakes on the outside and need to turn quite on the apex but his braking line is on the braking lane of max. Max is diving a lil bit but if he was diving to much he would have been more on the outside of the corner on the exit. And he was not so much.
