    I don't think there should be any examinations after 3rd Dan, I think it's belittling. Somebody please tell me why, after something like 25-30 years of training, a person should be examined. I think Dan grades after third should be either be awarded with consent or totally ignored

    At :56, is that a leg swing or a front kick? Just asking because I saw something similar throughout the exercise.

    Clearly Mr. Gunhurun is no longer a young man. Therefore I'm surprised that he doesn't use wisdom of age to kick chudan correctly rather than trying jodan and compromising the technique. That's just my opinion though.

      Mr. Gunhurun should chose other kata for is age, as Wankan or Tekki Sandan, for exemple. Kanku Dai is not a kata for is age. Oss

    No level actually; harsh words but actually is what this person is showing; no kime; sloppy technique; he does not know that all those keri; uke and tsuki are chuudan; does not know about the basic techniques applied on this base Kata; not powerful; no hip vibration; no punch with all the body; no good dachi for a 4 Dan!. I see a ragged obi but seems not due to the training and sweat but due to too much time in the washing machine...sorry

      He's already old at that time, yet still snappy. shihan Nilo has a lots of medals during his youth, when he wasn't in JKA at that time. I wish he could get his youth back and beat your sorry ass. :)

  • @PauloFrota82
    @PauloFrota82 12 років тому

    "OSU" is as correct (maybe even more so) than "OSS".
    Please note that "-su" in japanese has the sound of "ss". So, "unsu" is actually pronounced "unss", and "osu" is pronounced "oss".
