Try running the Superego+ into the new MXR Layers for all kinds of layering possibilities... If you want to go even further, put other effects pedals in the Superego's FX loop... That will keep you busy for a while... 🙂
For live use, the Superego+ is really nice with the presets and ability to split the signal to a side chain. The expression pedal makes it hands free for morphing the effect from mild to wild. I have thee original Superego as well, it's cool, just a pain live, I'm always reaching for a knob, the expression pedal sets you 100% free.
I agree. I think the og Freeze sounds a bit better. Just a shame that it lacks the levels controls and glissando. 😕 Superego is overkill for me - I have all those other bases covered.
DeepFreeze is almost the same as Superego “no plus” without the send return and smaller. I've had the SuperegoPlus for 8 years and I'll never sell it. It just needs a boost or compressor to keep the signal stable. I use the Suhr Koji Comp before it, and from it, I alternate some pedals on its send return (which will only work when you "on" the included fx pedal) and on the main out send the rest of the chain in stereo. Eternal drones!
Helpful video. Thanks. Is it the case that the multi-effects part of the Superego can only be applied to the captured guitar part (i.e.,. can you use the effects on your basic guitar lines as you play them)?
I am looking for a Freeze pedal and the Line 6 One has that effect but I caanot find a comparison with the EHX freeze. If it is as good as the EHX I would go for the Line 6 since it has much more effects. Do you have a Line6 Hx pedal to compare it? Thanks
I have owned the Freeze, Plus, and just ordered the Deep Freeze. I also have Helix and Stomp. My Stomp is on my B Rig with analog pedals. The downside to freeze in Helix is it eats up a ton of dsp. I like how simple the og Freeze is. The Plus was cool, but expensive and huge. Plus the Wet switch had a stupid straight jack so it took up way too much space on my board. They all sound good. Deep Freeze looks promising. Hope that helps
Hey guys ¿Are the Electro-Harmonix Freeze and Pico Deep Freeze pedals analog or digital devices? …If digital: What sample rate/Bit depth do they use for processing? Cheers.
Absolutely psychedelic Pink Floyd Progressive Rock stuff. I just want that Superego+ now 😢. I have the old original Freeze, and i didnt know about all these new ones.
Great comparison, thank you!
perfect!!! just ordered all 3 intending to return/resell for a specific project - wish I had seen this earlier in the week

Which expression pedal do you use and/or recommend?
Thanks!!
@@Oran_Lee_Bass For the money and predictability. Moog makes a good one.
Would like to have heard how the Auto and Moment settings sound for example in playing lines with sustained single notes not just sustained chords
In the loop FX I recomend putting a pitch shifter to have a chord change.
Deep freeze sounded more synthetic in comparison to the original? Does it have any sampling chunk size settings?

You cannot beat the Superego +, I just got it and it is simply amazing, endless possibilities

Clean sound is gorgeous. What amp are you using?
Perfect demo
Is there a way to fade in the fx unit kicking in? It’s a bit sudden for my liking
Have you tried the gamechanger audio plus?

Guess he doesn't have time to traul through all sixteen comments...
The SuperEgo+ is a fantastic pedal with lots of great features.
Good show

That is so great! Pls stay in touch!
No auto mode tests? :( thats actually the main thing about the superego & deep freeze IMHO

Nice, but they all have terrible latency.
Lol
really? like the dry signal even or just the frozen signal?
