I think what's going to kill this game is the devs current plan for a required subscription once Early Access ends. I don't think that this game is going to last if they start making you pay a sub. Unless they make massive sweeping changes to every aspect of the current game, I think a lot of people will just abandon it outright to play basically anything else (depending on the price of the sub and what the state of the game is by full release). Now if the subscription was optional and gave you cosmetic bonuses or an extra free plot of land, that would be a completely different story.
No subs - what happens when people stop playing? Their plots stay in the game, abandoned and take up space that other players could use. After a few months most of the land would be just abandoned plots since most people quit playing after a few months. There has to be a way that lets the system reuse the plots. Sub is one such - pay a sub and your plot stays. Stop paying and your plot is recycled.
@@Isamma848 You know another way to do this without requiring a recurring subscription? A mmo building sim is awesome, but also so are high level quest-shitting/giving Easter egg unicorns (think Borderlands), so no way could I have the power to build something like this.

Conan exiles have dragons, and you can climb cliffs. This game looks good... but I feel like it's always 2 steps forward and one step back when it comes to these new base building sims.
This is less a game and more a simulator of the reality of this time era. It's not a pvp game and it's not a pve game. It's a simulator. It's like Ultima Online back before it got ruined by EA.
Is there a way we can get info on the server and if there are recruiters at the starting areas? I would like to join the clan and be an adventurer. Also markets and player driven economy. Finally there will be a religion system where you can start churches and there can only be 1 pope in the game. So climbing a social political ladder in the religious system will be there too. Lots of power struggles in this game and awesome hidden lore in the world and dungeons for players to discover as well. The devs based the lore on real life midieval lore. I dont get how asmond has some really based on point takes, while also have the dumbest. Subs for an MMO is not an out of date model people wont do anymore. Transitioning off this model is how we got so many watered down games flooded with microtransactions, loot boxes, P2W. You cant compare a gacha game like genshin to others. I dont want the future of MMOs to be gacha systems and microtransactions. Which is what youre going to get if you have free games or MMOs without sub models. If you build it they will come, make a badass game with sub and people will sub just like it happened for all the greats, UO, EQ, DAOC, WOW. These arent out of date models, games are just made more predatory.
Will never understand the stupid sub model...its basically paying more than a battlepass per month and getting fewer rewards and it makes it pay 2 play even though youve already made a one time purchase.
Uhh except each map can have thousands of players. And theres no raiding other players houses. And theres PvP in PvP zones only. Are you mentally repressed?
Does anyone make any streaming from Asmons Olympus clan? I wanna see how the building is going.. Asmon clearly has no time to visit so is there anyone else?
I mean ... it's NEW ... But I fail to see anything impressive about it beyond the "big population" aspect. People are just gonna build a cool castle, then quit.
Pax Dei is not an MMORPG and not coming even close to being one cuz if you say that its an MMO, then Rust, Minecraft, Ark survival evolved, DayZ, 7DTD, Palworld and so on... All those games would also be an MMORPG since they share the same core gameplay and same mechanics as Pax Dei... The game is already a flop due to combat being bad, graphics gradually decreasing in quality with each test, weird name for a videogame, 1 to 1 Rust/DayZ copy but set in Medival times... Also, this is the third video I see from Asmongold and he never actually played the game... He keeps walking around and saying where to build, then he talks and talks and talks about nonsense, then he logs out and comes back into a finished construction, is given all the gear and never actually does a dungeon or any combat what so ever... Also, the game test is NOT public... Public testing is not "giving away" a specific amount of keys... Public Testing is having the game already downloadable for free or a specific amount of money on Steam or outside of Steam... Also, since its taking them so long to finish some small things that me and 5 other people would have fixed within a week or two and be ready for a full release is just sad... Also from what I saw, the game will be HEAVY pay to win and on top of that it will be at minimum 70 bucks on Steam plus VIP's and other things to just spawn in with full set of gear, additional building plots for sale aswell and so on and on and on... The game is already dead and its not even out yet... Also 80% of all people from discussion hate the fact that its locked in third person, has no magic and whatnot and now with being limited on where to build, people are going furious about it... Devs screwed it up and there aint no coming back from the hole unless they release the game for free with an optional donation system where people can send some money their way to support the game which would be optional... Game is dead... Asmongold never shown the real game in any of his videos (which is also the reason why the game is dead) and yeah, Pax Dei already lost millions of potential players including myself... Asmongold will play it for a week or two like he did with Palworld and then he shifts onto a different game like he always does...
lol We got a Texas Roadhouse here in South Korea near my house, it's fucking awesome, so sick of kimchi and chicken here, it's nice to get some American junk every once in awhile
The game looks kinda dope. But monetization they are planning is complete crap... Pay for game then pay for plots of land via subscription and when Early access ends you gonna need to buy it again as far as I know.
The classic "make your own fun!" of sandbox games. Yeah the base building might be good, but if there's nothing else going on the game's gonna die off quick.
Asmongold, money is the root of all evils. But more so the dollar bills than coins. Coins are a lesser evil that we need to not make more evils for. I'm sure the same can be said about games you play. Not everything is for everyone 👍
How can you not build here when I’ve seen you build into a mountain? I understand it, but not sure really what benefit it is on either side (if you don’t need resources and there is no combat/war). A mmo building sim is awesome, but also so are high level quest-shitting/giving Easter egg unicorns (think Borderlands), so no way could I have the power to build something like this.
He built on a mountain that was in the middle of a lake inside an actual building zone. Now they are trying to build on top of a mountain on the 'edges' of the zone. There's a difference.
He said the visual progression is the best part but he always looks the same is just walking around nothing
@@wethril its literally advertised as a mmo pvp online family sharing .......they need to remove the pvp label if its not
Is there a way we can get info on the server and if there are recruiters at the starting areas? I would like to join the clan and be an adventurer. If the clan has an adventurer system in place, if not I would like to help set one up and have it like an actual adventurers guild. With a ranking and quest system based off of getting stuff done, basic foraging , mining, hunting and then higher tier ranks can do more quests that involve combat like the aggressive npcs and dungeons.
I'm curious about the building, are there specific nodes that you can build on or build literally anywhere you choose?
Anywhere where you can claim your plot of land. At the moment in the Home Valleys.
you get limited amount of plot of land where you can build, and you can set your plot on most of the map, but there are areas that are out of limit (near dungeons, pvp area, and "wilderness" area)...but you can build on water/lakes and mountains just fine
@@AlexanderAhjolinna Thanks, could you then limit how far other players can build, could you surround their plot for instance so that they couldn't build out any further?
@@pipz420 Gotya, Thank you.
How come Asmon will play survival open world games several times but stops playing cyberpunk after two videos.
Editor you need to make another clip channel video to shame him into playing it, as many times as it takes, until he finally beats it.
(I lowkey don't even understand why he doesn't play it, it's not as though it's a bad stream game, there's so much content there to have fun with that it's insane.)
Probably because he likes these kind of games more lol
@@troyd41 he seemed to like cyberpunk though, so that's why I'm even saying it, like why does he not play something he enjoyed.
@@troyd41I’m pretty sure asmon has said multi times he doesn’t enjoy survival games genre
@@Infamous159 The problem with channels getting too big is people like you and streamers getting a big head. Why wouldnt a viewer/fan of asmonds channel want to see him play a game they like. Its so easy to put a blanket statement over someone claiming they are a simp for watching another person game or wanting them to revisit one yet here you are. lemme guess, BUT I DONT CARE WHAT HE PLAYS SO IM NOT A SIMP ON THE INTERNET.
Dude wants to lord over his fanbase and cyberpunk is single player
He's right about eating too much food. I was over 300lbs and switched to 1 meal per day. i've lost around 60lbs since September with zero exercise.
10/10 character animations, moves exactly like an Asmongold.
It will be reviewed around 60 - 70% on steam I would guess.
For someone that always talks about gameplay and combat being the most important thing, Asmon sure settles for some really boring games sometimes. Nothing happens in this fucking game.
you said it yourself. combat. you probably value pvp above all else. some people like slice of life content. chill games
The building sandbox game doesn’t focus on combat???? 😱no way who would’ve thought
@@skadoosh3253 Even when building, NOTHING HAPPENS. This game is years and years away from actually launching.
@@skadoosh3253Tell asmongold I have a building survival game for you to try. He would never try it. Definitely a steamer advertiser for this game as he said many times in the pass he dosnt like survival games let alone one focused on base building.

did he not say he got 2k last time? keys that is
1:50:50 from sub to internet gangster to sub again, love you work Asmon :D
Does this game have any content other than building?
you can pay 100 euros to build a bigger base
Enormous pve dungeons, pvp zones where social gameplay will be introduced. Think of starting knight baronies and sieging other kingdoms for power over the pvp zones. Players will have to gain the knowledge of the lore by dungeons and exploring the world and share it. Or keep it for themselves to gain an advantage. Game will be filled to the brim with content.
@@hallmountfilms Seems pretty unrealistic, considering they're giving out more plots of land if you pay more. Very sus.
@@hallmountfilms And they say they don't have a business plan yet but they have so many investors.
@@alreawon1212 plots will have a max amount you can get. Currently it's 4. On full release you pay a monthly sub for (probably) 1 to 4 plots. nothing about it is sus, it's very transparent actually. pvping is in a different zone and they are also working on a system for pvp where you can get "flagged" to be able to pvp with other flagged players.
I would've loved to have joined in on this. Even to collect resources the game just looks great. Would be so much more fun to play with a large group like this.
I hate how he acts surprised every time he plays this game. He has played this game many different times and still talking like "wow so other people are building this stuff?!" like bro. You know this.
How many games come out with this formula these days?
Well, if you actually knew Pax's "Formula" for the game, you'd know not one game is doing or has tried to do what they're going for 👍
literally a open empty world with sandbox feature, thats all this game has to offer
Well with the feature's they plan to add to Pax, I'll take those over a hand holding theme park MMO anyday 👍
Some people can make their own fun in games and others need someone else to do it for them
By all means, if people have fun with it, that's all that matters. It just seems a lot of these types of games are coming out to me.
I'm lucky if I get 2-3 hours of gaming a week,so the thought of spending that chopping tree's and hitting rocks is a no go,need more single player titles.
Let the building for the King begin again
Wouldnt it be great to be in another community and get promised things by some nice guy for your help. As soon as you join their guild though you read that all the members were told to poach other communities and lie to them about whatever u have to in order to get their labor.
Every time I watch Asmon play this, "we should build on this mountain top" lmao Deja-vu anyone?
A walking simulator with no real content ... next!
Grow up
@@andrewstafford9406 Disappointed, I am. Promise much, Pax Dei did, but deliver, it did not. Empty, the world feels. Engaged, the heart is not. Balance, combat lacks. Tedious, the grind becomes. Vast, the potential was, but squandered, it has been. Recommend, I cannot.
"I dont understand why people hate me" "Lets go see if i can open these people's chests and steal their stuff"
Hear me out, since you already built a high area castle, what about a Atlantis style city? Would be cool too see
Can you make invite-only servers in this game? I prefer to play solo tbh
If this will just be a building/survival game, we have plenty of those games already and this will just be a more better looking Minecraft (with high res pack).
No bosses, even Minecraft has that. If so there is a game in the works called Hytale. Basicly Minecraft but with MUCH more content. More building, weapons, mobs/bosses/caves etc.
As for PvP, if you will always lose everything everytime you die and have to re-craft your entire gear over and over, even if you are floating with mats...pass.
sooo diablo 4 news: new class, new area, new pets and it costs the same as the base game........................... not sure how accurate this is but made me light headed.
The D4 base game is $70. The base expansion is $40. You already get the pets now.
Still a garbage game with nothing new to offer in terms of items and builds.
@@bluntman3180 Still made billions.

These arent out of date models, games are just made more predatory.
blud played the game for two hours and did nothing lmfao.
,"in school it wos..... another fucin bear" 😂
They are trying to build Rohan, but they are acting like Uruk-hai
Don't you have to buy the founder's pack to get in the beta?
Combat is weak
But it's balanced and fair.
They are being very careful about not adding broken animations or exploitable skills.
Smart.
Glad to be back in PaxDei
Will never understand the stupid sub model...its basically paying more than a battlepass per month and getting fewer rewards and it makes it pay 2 play even though youve already made a one time purchase.
I cant believe how excited i felt when i saw this upload, its gonna be such a good watch
This game is literally just medieval Rust yet nobody calls Rust an MMO
Uhh except each map can have thousands of players. And theres no raiding other players houses. And theres PvP in PvP zones only. Are you mentally repressed?
@@donald12998 yes
Rust has more gameplay TBH. This is just a base building sim.
its just a UE5 building tech demo with terrible survival elements
Does anyone make any streaming from Asmons Olympus clan? I wanna see how the building is going.. Asmon clearly has no time to visit so is there anyone else?
needs way more ambience
Isnt servers open at 18nth?
yes, but streamers got early-early access to the game (to promo for the gaming going EA)
Is there going to be an adult dragon boss fight in this game
I mean ... it's NEW ...
Asmongold will play it for a week or two like he did with Palworld and then he shifts onto a different game like he always does...
advice for key giveaway in the future… only give them away to the unemployed chatters for maximum slaving output 👍
I don't think they hate you because ugly you aren't actually that bad looking. Mostly just seething about based takes tbh

How do i join this world

The game looks kinda dope. But monetization they are planning is complete crap... Pay for game then pay for plots of land via subscription and when Early access ends you gonna need to buy it again as far as I know.
no subscription during EA (min 1 year) and you dont have to buy the game again on release
@@Redpet13thanks for clarification, all though paying a subscription fee for a game you paid for is still bad.
the devs support pay2win and diversity, only gullible redditors would buy this game
World feels kinda... empty?
The world is to be built by the players!
The classic "make your own fun!" of sandbox games. Yeah the base building might be good, but if there's nothing else going on the game's gonna die off quick.
