I found my birth mother about 10 years ago. I had only a maiden name and location and within just a few minutes I had tracked her down to Canada (I was born in Scotland and now live in France) - Julie then called her and wow....it is really nice to hear others stories. I just wish I would have had a sibling but maybe I have.....I have never been told about my birth dad..👍🏻 Cheers you guys.
Wow! I hope it's been a positive reunion for you and your mother. The reason I never spent time with the Why Was I Put Up For Adoption question was I figured they were young and the father had no interest. As it turned out, I was wrong about that. It was only last month (20+ years after our reunion) that my mother and I discussed the time of her pregnancy. It was quite eye-opening for me. No big surprises, but it helped me understand the fear and isolation she dealt with during that tough time. I only bring this up because it's never too late to ask questions. Thank you for sharing your experience with me!
@@OurNewLand It was, she flew over to me within a few months. I was one of the thousands born late 60's in Scotland and Ireland and without a Dad it was straight into the Salvation Hospital a (or convent) and I was in the shop window 6 weeks after coming of the production line. Never bothered me, my sister was also adopted. Great reading and listening about your journey. 👍🏻
Hi Devon, thanks for this update of upcoming adoption stories and work project videos. Hope that you had the opportunity to watch the video I suggested about the life of David Scotten as his adoption story is so similar to yours. The people today that are so Pro choice should watch life stories of children like David and yourself and see what wonderful lives children can live given the chance to succeed through adoption. Glad that Ryan and yourself have a lot of the same interests and can build your relationship together on many upcoming projects. Best wishes to both you and Ryan and your extended families.
Want to throw out an idea for an upcoming video. The video about your adoptive parents reaction to finding your birth family I assume was filmed in your home. From the small portion we saw on video, the house looks very beautiful. It would be interesting to hear if you had it built or if your brought it already built? It looks like a custom built Log Cabin structure home.
That sounds like me, for sure! Hopefully I can make some good progress on the list. I worked on the tool storage today, and I hope to have it finished next week. Thanks for watching!
Love following everything that you guys are doing!!! ❤
Thank you so much, Kris!
Always look forward to what’s going on over in y’all’s part of the country. Have a great week.
Thanks, Chuck! I appreciate you watching it!

Thanks, Ben. That was filmed in my inlaw's cabin. They had it built on the footprint of the cabin my father-in-law grew up using.
That’s quite a list of projects … If it were me, I’d get a little part of all of them done 😂.

Give me all the videos! Sometimes it is hard to film and get stuff done…so I get it
I really struggle with the filming while I'm working! Slows me down and causes frustration/stress. Thanks for watching, Lisa!
@@OurNewLand totally get it which is why I don’t film everything!
Yeah. Our adoptions are so similar. I still dont know the whole story though.
Hey Sam! The way you found out about your past was quite a surprise. Thanks for watching!
