I have been trying to heal my spirit of poverty for many years. I was born 4 pounds and my life has been hell for 52 years. I have a constant war with money. Never have enough to pay the bills. Always helping other but never get anything in return and being talked down to and used by people around me. This has been my life since birth so I don’t know how escape from it.
King David had a heart after Gods own heart. His great grandmother was Ruth who had such a pure heart. It makes me tear up when I read about Ruth and Naomi and boaz. Jesus was born in Bethlehem because king David and his father Jesse and his father obed and his father boaz was born in Bethlehem in the land of Judah
So what chapter reverse does it talk about a spirit of poverty in the Bible?… It doesn’t and you have not done what scripture says, and that’s test every spirit. This man is a false teacher and you have fallen prey to those teachings.
Pastor great story about Bill Morris at vbs my mom and I were standing in the hall way while the kids were worshipping. my mom asked him "Bill how are u doing" he said "I'm fighting with God's favor he hasn't called me home yet and until he does I'll keep fighting" what a strong faith based man if u know him u are very blessed well done Bill your a light in a dark world

There is only a spirit of poverty when Christians DO NOT ADHERE or OBEY the sayings of Jezus. We are to look after one another, noone left out. But because pastors and teachers are in and of the world the church is a dog eat dog community. The help money is misappropriated and not distributed equally amongst the needy and poor. It is squandered away selfishly in extravagant living. That is the real spirit of poverty. I have given all and paid my dues on the street for 3 years only to witness the church leave me to die like a dog. Christians love money more than they do a human life. They just can't part with it to save their soul. It's not too late for the church to repent and get right with God. You're money is meaningless, it's what you do with it that is everlasting. I'm now a senior citizen but I have done as Jesus asked and it's truly a miracle that I am still alive.
My husband is living a debt. That’s why i am the one paying for everything like apartment, food, electricity, water. He can only contribute 100 -150 usd a month
Great talk but one critique - the comment about how addiction is the most self centred thing. I agree, but as a person who once had an eating disorder for years, I found the way it was said very judgemental. I got my addiction as a young girl who was starving for love in a cold, graceless home. I used food to cope emotionally until it turned into a full blown addiction. I got bullemia back in the early 70s when, where I lived, no one knew a thing about it. I had it for 7 yrs before I found out thru a tv show what was wrong with me. It was terrifying & I thought I was demon possessed. Something had me. After over 20 yrs of that he'll ride, God revealed Himself to me & delivered me. If Jesus was in the picture, perhaps it would have been very different. Jesus never judged. He was the solution and provided solutions. Grace.
I bind myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ freed of every spirit of poverty and poverty mindset while binding one to create wealth and abundance while binding to hell every spirit of poverty and poverty mindset in one's life in agreement with this whole message according to 1 kings 17:4, deuteronomy 8:18, 2 corinthians 6:14-18, matthew 6:24, binding to hell being unequally yoked with and have any common share with any evildoer serving satan in having a poverty mindset and spirit of poverty, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

You are describing a poverty mind not a poverty spirit. Your Spirit is connected to The Spirit of God, so a poverty spirit is a spirit that is hungry for more of God in a time like now, when we have had 20 years of dead churches, where people have no understanding on spiritual matters and many even deny The Spirit of God completely, saying it was for the early church but not meant for us, where your spirit knows there is supposed to be so much more, that we are supposed to Thrive, not just survive.
This is a false gospel, None of the apostles or wealthy men, they died, tragic deaths, and were used greatly by God. There is no spirit of poverty ever listed in scripture. This man must be marked and avoided.
