- We've got a very tidy Norton Commando 750 in the shop this week, and Sayre has been tasked with throwing an eye on it for a sale. Join him for a looksee and let us know what you think of this restomod. Love, hate, bucket-list?
One of the few vintage bikes that looks right in black.
Nice! 😍
Gorgeous, the design is spot on sexy
that is gorgeous
A good thing to check but rather invasive would be to see if the transmission out put gear moves in and out indicating the the support bearing is loose in the the trans case bore
Nice rebuild. When owners install other carbs and pod filters as opposed to twin Amals, keeping the remaining back of the stock air filter box is not a good look. Not sure about those carbs either but at least this builder didn't put on a single Mikuni. Kudos for that.
What a gorgeous resto! Love it.
Norton only made 7,000 bikes a year. Triumph made 45,000 bike a year and the idiots chose to close Triumph. I have an EVOLUTION Sportster. I have had my Sportster for 25 years and 400,000 miles on the original engine and 37 back tires and 17 front ones and 3 belts in 25 years. Solid mount. Nothing falls off or cracks. I have had my Triumph Tr-6 with a hard tail and magneto for 40 years. Commuted to work on her for 20 years. Only spare parts l carry is a clutch cable and a master link for the chain. There is a company in Naples, Florida that makes repreduction Feather Bed frame s and alloy gas tanks, oil tanks, seat assembly. Nice stuff.
Any video that includes the words "Velocette race bike" is ok in my book... Thanks!
Why not start the engine?
3.15.24. “920cc” 🤔
I am offended by those carburetors! Original concentric's please! Or at least MK II's. And check the rule book on that front end "mod" for the Velo! I will watching! Lol!
Check the rule book on apostrophes: I'm offended.
@@johncallow22 Touché' You are correct! I chose the more traditional route with the "King's English".
Bike should have crashbars.
If the Kickstart starts bouncing it is fixing to explode and destroy your transmission. Cheap Portuguese bearing in the transmission. Cheap parts in critical areas failed and Norton went broke from warranty claims. Penny wise and Pound foolish as the Brits would say.
