The ELPERA
The ELPERA, popera group, was formed in 2016 as a team for Golden Music Entertainment Co., Ltd. located in Korea. The members consist of trio such as tenor Jeon Han-young, tenor Jeong Ju-yeong, and baritone Cho Hyung-jun, who have all been active in Korea since graduating from the School of Music(classical vocal major) at Chugye University for the Arts.
ELPERA is a combination of "EL" and "OPERA," which stands for a strong presence, and has been active in pursuit of heart-wrenching and authentic music.
ELPERA is loved by the public for its sophisticated and touching repertoire from classical to K-pop, including Korean songs, Italian songs, opera aria, pop, and movie OSTs, and has been invited numerous times from companies, national and local events for its own performance.
ELPERA debuted with the release of its digital single album in 2017. Since then, ELPERA has released regularly digital single albums every year. Actually, upcoming another digital single album will be released next year in 2024.
Among ELPERA's many performances, “Live Site” performance of the Olympic winter games Pyeongchang 2018 was one of the best performances ELPERA has ever made. At that time when people from all over the world gathered, performance of ELPERA impressed people and provided people from all over the world driving force to be friend and feel close to each other.
In 2022, “A Music Journey with European Composers”, co-organized by Seongdong Foundation for Arts and Culture and Golden Music Entertainment, featured ELPERA's performance on the compositions of Italy, Germany and France. ELPERA won heart of people those who have not had any chances to travel during Covid-19 pandemic with a great performance.
In 2023, ELPERA was invited to a special stage in terms of Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) between the Seongdong Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Italian Cultural Center to perform its own repertories of Italy's representative songs, such as “O Sole Mio” and “IL Mondo”.
ELPERA is scheduled to perform in Japan and the United States with invitation in 2024.
