It was definitely blowing that day! Thanks for the kind words and thanks so much for the skills, I've still got the jingle in my head and I link your video to everyone to learn jumping!
It didn't feel that smooth, I'm definitely getting more pop now though, I need to go back here and film another clip, I've been trying this of everything I can find every ride and have popped way higher than expected more times than I can count, so I'm hoping I'm getting it!
On this one I'd been trying to put into practice the stand up part, having watched the loan Ranger video on jumping and your videos on jumping with the joy of bike channel. This was a while ago now and I'd intended to film progress but kind of missed that. I should get an updated one but I'm much better than I was though still have lots of specific technique to work on here. I'm very much open to suggestions for improvement Lee. P.s. thanks for all you do for all of us who ride, you're videos are a staple in my playlists and I often go back to watch for technique reminders!!!
I start learning same trick and I see you make same mistakes like me. - you don't stretch your legs -your arms are bent -your head is facing downwards You can clear that jump without pedaling.
You'll get it! I need to make another one of these, I'm much better at this but the jumps there have been changed slightly and the footage I took isn't quite the same.
I know right! Unfortunately that's all I could get at the time, planning to get down there or to another set of dirt jumps again soon. Hopefully on a nice dry still day!
Stop training the wrong way. Standing up is sketchy and wont get you far. Go to The shred academy MTB and learn the right way. Just a suggestion, no offence to TheLoamRanger
@@andrejgorkic2193 it got me way further than this, I just haven't added another clip. There's more than one way to teach something and more than one way to learn it. Both ways are valid!
@@TENNESSEETRACKHAWK yep, it's amazing how effective this is, go check out the 'stand up to the jump' video by the loam ranger if you're interested in learning it and getting the proper howto, it's an excellent tutorial.
Nice work! Takes nerves of steel to jump in the middle of what looks to be a hurricane haha. 🍻

I've just come across this method of jumping, and your jump at 19 Seconds, was a perfect example how to pull it off - Buttery smooth - Keep it up! :)

It actually isnt. No disrespect. Knees were bent on takeoff
@@ashnose yeah looked kinda sketchy
Practice makes perfect 👍👍
Tally!
Tiny set of dirt jumps, but they're pretty good to start out on. Shame that first gap is so kicky. Good idea to give it a miss to begin with.
t's so rad that you're out there working on yourself. Super cool. What specific technique are you trying to improve?

Oh 100%, I need to get back to these dirt jumps and see how I go now, I've been doing a lot more jumping since and am confident at 4m gaps on trails.
This is how I jump atm. Im going to learn doing it right soon though!
You'll get it!

Probably not the best weather to do jumps😅
coulda picked a better day to learn jumping lol

That spot looks perfect for learning. Were is it?

ummmmm ok
I definitely need to do a follow up to this, it worked, I can jump now.
@@Teracis fair enough seems like a simple decent technique
