Nicolas!! - you beautiful soul - there is nothing quite like a stunning English Garden - I smiled when you stated you love Foxgloves - I think they are amazing too Nicolas - but I could never grow them - I have seen them growing on the side of the roads in New Zealand at certain times of the year - but for some reason I have never had any luck growing them in my garden - one can see Greig has an eye for beauty - so do you!! - thank you for allowing me the privilege of walking with you through your sister's garden - I thank the Almighty for beautiful people like you - much love.

That startling "before" picture of the house surrounded by mud was excellent perspective to how far the garden has progressed. Splendid planting all of those, a bit more mature, saplings...
🇬🇧 I would have planted Foxgloves in groups of 3 or 5 along the side of the house. Backed by painted trellis in a dusty teal.

Wow I heard of David Austin roses thru Monty dons gardening shows. Monty has abut 3 about 3 garden shows , where one show he goes all over the world to see how they garden and history as well. Thank you for showing the roses and the new addition to the garden👍

My father loved these roses. On the occasion I was sent roses my dad would hybridize (sp) them with the wild roses he had and create beautiful colors. This was beautiful!

Hello Nicolas. Hope all is well. Your sister’s garden is magnificent, so well structured around the house and blended with the countryside. I really love the extended garden as you look out into the fields, so lucky that’s there’s no house nearby. The garden designer did a great job. It’s so nice of your sister, and yourself, for sharing all of this with us. Glad your sister decided on a kitchen garden and greenhouse as opposed to a pool… like here in Ireland, I don’t think the UK gets the weather for pools!!! The David Austin centre looks so amazing, wow… it seems like such an amazing place to live. Safe trip back to Scotland. Tomás ☘️😀

Nicolas you’re voice is so gentle and soothing, I could listen to it for hours. You have a real gentleness about your nature that I just adore. A few vlogs ago you removed a water mark by using a steam iron. Well I thought I followed your instructions, using a barely damp cloth place over the mark and then steam for a few seconds. I totally ruined my table I had more water marks than before. However I've been thinking about what I did wrong. So yesterday while streaming some suite jackets I decided to try again and remove the marks. This time I used a dry cloth and steamed for less time quickly wiping off any residue water. YES. It worked I polished the top with a bees wax polish. It looks brilliant. Thank you.

An interesting choice of Yew for the edging of the borders as it is poisonous and can grow very big if left to its own devices. Good to avoid Box because of the blight but a lower evergreen such as Ilex crenata would suit the conditions.

I would "stealth plant" a full length of the field edge with further lavender bushes along the other side of the fence. Just to soften the horizontal, linear planes and extend the vision. As you meander with mojito in hand the field will then feel as though it is part of the property.
I love this! The garden is a perfect harmony of neat and tidy, and allowing the plant's natural beauty to shine. So pretty ❤
