Excellent vid. Thank you. Agree on the base handle being completely superfluous and redundent. Leather handles on both sides much better as you highlighted!
They released the GR2 X-Pac, and I am considering getting one, but I have some concerns about the fabric for the site visit and project. I am a communication technician. Not to carry tools, just my laptop and EDC. I don't want to use my Heritage for that. So I was planning to get the GR2 26L 500 OG, but I saw the X-Pac. Why you didn't like the fabric, and what is your recommendation for me? Advise please
Dang it... that's a tough question. My gut is that if I were traveling (which is what I use the GR2 for) then I'd go with the Kaidan. Conversely, I have Kaidan 1.0 bullet and I WAY prefer the Heritage Bullet. But, I also love to travel with the Heritage GR1 26L. It really is a clean, classic style. I just think the Kaidan 2.0 is super clean and good looking with some nice functionality.
@@Rucking I am targeting the GR2 26L heritage but in Olive which is not available. So I don't know what to do, shall I wait hoping they will release the olive or go for the slate colour😤? Advice, please
@@anas7hamed never know when GORUCK will have “the” color you want. Always an option to buy one now and then sell it when what you want comes online. The good thing is that these keep their value pretty well.
Regular GR2 has a couple more pockets. For travel, I LOVE the 40L. If you want 34L, it really comes down to what style/material you want. The Kaidan (v2) has a cleaner look without the molle. It is really a toss up. If I could only have one, I'd probably go with the classic GR2... because it is a classic. But, if you like the style and look of the Kaidan, grab one. They're beautiful.
They do look great. Just got a notification that the black 40L was back in stock. Might grab that this way it can be an every day bag/ travel if needed. I know it’s only 6L more but you never know right. Thanks for your take on things

Agree, handles on the side are better for loading overhead, on rolling luggage, and to flip for accessing laptops.
Was just thinking about this useless bottom handle this morning.

I like the X-pac material, and think that it would be a great ruck for your case use. A traditional GRII would also be great.
Comparing the GORUCK Carryology Kaidan to the Heritage version, which one do you prefer?

@@Rucking, You are right. This is what I will do. Thanks for the advice. And you know what, all colours look great. Keep it up.
Carryology Kaidan or GR2 34L or 40L this the GR2 has a couple more pockets then the Kaidan? What of the 3 would you recommend?
