  • In this one, we move away from the river and head up to the beautiful Judith Mountains to search for Smoky Quartz crystals! Judith Peak is home to a very unique form of smoky quartz, double terminated squat crystals that form inside of porphyry referred to as "Montana Diamonds"! These crystals are very similar to Herkimers in structer, though they do not quite have the same ice grade quality as herkimers do. That being said, they are an immensely unique crystal specimen that is only found in the tiny radius around Judith Peak! As if those weren't good enough, however, we headed over to a different site nearby to search for beautiful pure black smoky quartz crystals! By splitting veins of quartz you can expose beautiful micro specimens of amazing smoky quartz crystal spires and crystal clusters! To add to the awesome, every one of those crystals happen to be phantom quartz! It was a blast of a day! After getting back to the shop, we go ahead and facet a Montana diamond and use the air scribe to excavate each specimen! I hope you all enjoyed this one and definitely look forward to more crystal hunts coming soon!

Those mountains are absolutely breathtaking. I’ve never seen mountains or the ocean except on television or online.

Sparkle, sparkle everywhere. I loved Alexa's crystal manufacturing pouch. She just kept pulling them out. I liked them prepped and not prepped. What was the host rock? Woof to the doggies. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒ 🤠

What an awesome hunt! Those Montana diamonds are cool! Really neat small smokey quarts crystals! That faceted one is very nice! And again I am very jealous that you can just drive somewhere near you and get all this great stuff!😥 I hope you do a video where you prep a whole piece to show what is actually hidden inside! Thanks for sharing!

Love all the quartz crystals. The Montana diamonds look like dirty versions of the Herkimer diamonds here in New York that I've been hunting yearly in the lower Adirondack mts. Love all the rocks you have in Montana though. So much color and beauty in the geology everywhere you go in your videos.

Hey Dante, don't lick rocks. I was liking the feldspar crystals on the prepped pieces almost as much as the quartz. Cubic crystals are like seashells. You should like them.

I would think a small sand blaster would clan those crystals 🔮 right up to a lovely finish. Dimond pads on your wheel would allow you to polish up your crystals 🔮 to a shimmering finish.
