Just want to thank you for sharing this! One of my Montage/MODX online students directed me to this video several months ago. Saves me from having a second camera pointed at the Montage screen during our Zoom sessions hooked up to OBS.

Once I connect my Modx to my Mac, will mouse clicks on parameters send those commands back to the keyboard? In other words, can I access all parameters with the mouse?

What a great video! Thanks for sharing this great option.
On the Montage, there will be times where it makes a whole lot of sense to utilize the extra buttons on the right hand side to easily move through patch banks, make menu selections etc (like you outlined in your Top 7 Advantages video). The extra buttons can makes it a bit easier to navigate through some workflow processes when you hands are so close to the board verses using the touch screen all the time. Once you have the button layout mastered the workflow can be a lot faster to edit things. Not everything but many things.
I can see how a touch screen is of even more a value for owners of the MODX for sure.
Learning OBX is also a good investment for other use cases as well. Well done!

Just create a User Arpeggio on your MODX using the samples.

Coming from USB and eventually going to USB, it seems like there should be software that can capture with just a direct USB cable between both devices. But things always seem to be more complicated.

Nice to extend the monitor view, but if my modx is not in front of me, I can’t use its controls, so I am not sure whom is this for

I had my Montage connected to an external monitor for a while using a similar USB video adapter, but I had issues with the frame rate being too low at times. It made it difficult to use the recording on the sequencer. Do you ever notice lag or slowdown with this setup?

No I actually haven't done a bunch of sequencing with the extended screen. I would say disconnect the extended screen when sequencing.

@@SynthsandGuitarsI was very disappointed to find out the Montage didn't have HDMI out like on the Korf PA5X so this is great. Thank you!
If I use the USB out port for this, would I still be able to hook up the Montage to my Mac via USB for recording music?
