wow what a learning experience... no more revving at the lights or braking hard with the front and not the back. those parts are a pain to replace I've heard

+Stefanos infinityphoto So since 28th October I've replaced all my bushings and bearings. Actually the engine bushings were fine but the silent block bushing (shown in the video) and the swing arm bearings and I can safely are a f*cking pain. Changing them is on par with the toughest jobs in the trade. I have the same 125 leader engine on my bike. If you're going to change these parts to "save money" I'd seriously suggest buying a new silent block bracket with the bushing pre installed. You'll likely need to remove a few panels and use a jack or two (if working on your own) to help realign the bolt holes when reinstalling. Likewise with swing arm bearings. Buy both sides of the swing arm with the bearings pre installed. Then all you have to do is replace the swing arm. £70 ish for the entire swing arm and about £50 ish for the silent block bracket and bushing. £130 in total and a fairly easy job as opposed to struggling for weeks, buying roller bearing after roller bearing from where you keep breaking them each time you try and install them. Admittedly the silent block isn't as hard, I actually replaced mine by filing/shaving down the plastic rim (not all rubber) to help it fit but you still need to remove the bracket anyway so I'd rather pay a bit more and know I'm not doing the hard work, it's a completely brand new and installed perfectly. The amount of time I lost trying with the tools I had at the time doing it "the cheap way" would've cost me easily over £100 if i was paying my own wages. Plus I felt like dying afterwards, had cuts all over my hands with a raging headache. Oh my life.

@Kristufar Burhtun Thank You for finding time to write that comment, I was thinking about replacement of silent block in my scooter two days before 1500km trip. It is not even close as bad as that one on video, so now I've decided to buy whole bracket with original silent block installed and do it after the trip. Thank You again!

Huh. I have the same clacking sound - thought it was the engine! Seems if the silent block is gone, the vibration can be quite bad. Thanks for sharing. And to concur with Chris - I've heard squeezing in a new silent block can be quite a chore.
