Thanks, useful guide. My instructions say to bring the charge pad inside over winter too but I must admit leaving it in place seems far simpler, especially as the UK rarely gets extreme weather and mine is protected with a cover etc.
Thanks for the overview. Not sure in NJ it’s a good idea to leave him out all winter so he’s been brought in. Quick question though...do you leave it on some kind of trickle charge? I haven’t done in previous years, but I wonder what best practice is - thoughts?

It does not matter. But for safety sake I would power it down
Power it off before turning over
Remove the cover to clean it .... Just pulls off
