That's an understatement. I don't know why he didn't just have Bocchetti as his co-host since he basically was anyway. The banter & dynamic between those 2 might be one of the best ever in radio, in my opinion. The other dude is boring, not funny & zero energy.
I'd been checking out a few of the clips and after like the 3rd show I suddenly realized there was a guy sitting in the middle. 😶 So I went back to see if he was on the other shows I had previously watched and he was! 😬 He hadn't made a peep so I never even knew he was there. I laughed at myself, like how the hell did you not even see him. I honestly didn't. Not quite sure why you'd have such a quiet guy on a 'talk' show though... Kind of like a 'Jay and Silent Bob' thing?
Jon Ritchie is his name, he played in the NFL and was hired ostensibly because this was a sports talk/comedy show and they felt they needed a replacement for Artie's first co- host NickDiPaolo. Nick was a comedian and held his own better. They probably should just have gone with Mike, you're right.
i just want them to talk about howard stern lol. Anytime artie interviews anything howard related..its a let down for me lmao..I wanted them to talk about opie and anthony beefing with howard
O&A didn't particularly have a beef with artie, I don't think he ever really bad mouthed them. The only time they mentioned him negatively is because, like Gulbunny said, artie didn't mention being on tour with norton and norton mentioned artie all the time. Norton also didn't shit on Stern while doing radio with O&A, though he maybe snapped a bit after Howard waffled about Ant getting fired.
Artie talking about the lobby/waiting area at Sirius made me think of the movie Beetlejuice, the scene when Alec Baldwin & Geena Davis are sitting in the waiting room with all of the bizarre creatures and characters.
