Hansal Mehta tweeted about the show that...Succession is going to be the show that colleges will premiere to understand literature and filmmaking for years.
Loved loved the stream!!!!! I really love that there are people who are obsessed with good tv and shows like me ... Who can spend so much time talking abt it .... Coz none of my friends watch anything good
Just felt a little weird that the Tom-Shiv argument on pre-election night was not discussed, because it was a GREAT scene. And yes, anyone who can, should invest their time on Ted Lasso.
The airport scene immediately after they officially announced Logan's death to media. Roman showing drop in stock price to Ken and indicating with hand gesture..""This...This was the legacy of Logan Roy"" Most brutal and honest line in show.
Breaking Bad was always on my top for so many years....but finally got de throned. Succession man....take a bow!!! One of the greatest piece of art ever made. Also been waiting for this podcast for so long!
@@k__ashu i have watched almost 35-40 shows in my life which includes all the great ones like BB, GOT, Sopranos, The Wire, etc. Succession takes it time...like atleast a good 3-4 episodes...but then the 5th episode hits and then it's just banger one after another. And also it depends upon your interest too... because the show is mostly dialogues and like Shakespearean dialogue...which is somewhat difficult to understand sometimes. But trust me once you get invested in it, there is no other show like this.
@@vighneshpillai7996 after watching most of the good shows now i only have appetite for brilliantly written content. As every indian guy i also got introduced to foreign lang shows like friends then came mediocre shows like flash and arrow then i get used to the basic screenwriting and these shows became predictable i wanted to watch something new then i came across the walking dead which was different post apocalyptic world which transported me to another space altogether, then after watching many good shows i watched breaking bad and game of thrones. which blew my mind. the story, characters, writing, production, acting, music everything was brilliant. the passion and love of the creators for the project was reflecting through the work and it reached to the audience. i loved both shows equally but after the brutal massacre of the last seasons i declared BB the GOAT. my love affair with tv shows never stopped after that. I watched lost which was something else. cant describe in words. its just an experience. i loved dark also. after watching all the great content now im at a stage i want a show which will have a decent pace, which should have a writing which will take over you slowly and become a part of your life. A show need not to be larger than life but its philosophy should create a difference in your thinking. thought provoking idealogies. After your description i think Succession matched my expectations. Thank you for the reccommendation. I hope one day india will too have it's own pop culture phenomenon. Till then keep watching great content. Best wishes
Ngl you should involve the chat bit more, this felt like an internal zoom meeting being streamed on youtube. There were some great points made in the chat that you guys didn't talk about. Even the superchats weren't discussed on much. Live streams are for interactions, else people would start feeling like idiots who are just spamming the live chat.
Better Call Saul is still my favourite of all time but yeah Succession is the show of our time. It's a brilliant amalgamation of everything happening around world today. "America Decides" is my favourite episode of the whole show...
1:27:04 Sucharita did get confused and mixed 2 different scenes, but I'm so unimpressed by Rohan Joshi they way he's nodding and saying Yeah Yeah Logan was on meds, not conscious, and if it had been even Greg's hand, poor Logan would had used that too, from how it looked like.
Wish you guys had also touched upon the few problems that the show has, like a couple of technical and legal inconsistencies, or how every character in the show uses similes in their speech that makes them sound a lot similar sometimes.
I loved succession except the ending... i kind of knew kids will destroy each other in the end but handing over the CEO position to Tom? It didn't make sense.. I had gerri in mind...i thought it would have been a good slap in a face to the kids as they knew their father wanted to fire gerri and she ends up getting the top position..she even had the credentials, certainly more than Tom..and I thought Greg would have played a bigger role in it...felt he was kinda sidelined in the finale...better ending would have been if greg had double crossed tom and gets gerri selected...
So when can we expect a discussion on the greatest show of them all, Bojack Horseman? There are very few reviews or podcasts made on this absolute gem. Why don't you guys do a proper deep dive on it?
Maybe Gerri rose to the top because she slept with Logan? But Sucharita says she rose despite sleeping with Logan, as expected. Also the popat with Sucharita when she wanted to whine about toxic masculinity in the Roy family but confused two scenes from 2 different scenes is chef's kiss.
Nope, Sophie was adopted and Iverson was conceived by IVF. It's not confirmed but Roman mentioned that Logan always believed that the sperm used for IVF came from a sperm donor not Kendall hence both are not biological children of Kendall
This stream was the closure that I needed. Thank you guys.

Apart from Rohan everyone else is just fanboying . They have no language to express why they like the show . Just I loved that. I liked that
FOR ME ITB WAS ROMAN CRYING AT THE FUNERAL IN CHURCH GATE , THAT STOLE THE SHOW . ROMAN DESERVES AN EMMY .❤
About that point of sucession being white, I think everyone forgot that stewy is stewy Hosseini. He is supposed to be same ethnicity as the actor.

Are you serious? I didn’t watch succession. Is it really that good? Should i start watching it? Breaking bad is my fav series tbh

Exactly. Can't call her out because she will start ranting about mansplaining.
Wow thanks guys for doing it😮
Into the Succcession-verse.
Best stream 🙌
Just want to say that “ roman was never greedy “
U should have invited Varun Thakur. He is a biiig fan

Loved loved loved it
What does Nikhil do? what are his socials?
bring chalchitra talks again
Tom just became a CEO and Shiv just sold a multi-billion dollar company. I am sure you know who has more money.
Why would Greg ever kiss Sucharita?
Did anyone catch Rohan's book recommendation?
Yep, silo book series.

Pray that you never run into: Caroline Collingwood.
This was a vaibhav's roast livestream😂

Might be controversial, but Succession is a 7/10 for me.
For me it's 6/10
