Sergio's Chi Sau is more Yuen's style and Hawkins' Chi Sau is Ip's style. Just a suggestion, if you are curious about what is the difference, search with "Chi Sau On Off" and have a look.

+Law Tuck Mun I agree it needs to be pressure-tested, and he may or may not have already done that. However, not everyone has competitive sparring as a goal in their martial arts journey.

I have a revelation for most if not all WC people.
Chi sao was never meant for extreme speed (the mind, reflexes doesn't work that way), so stop using it to make yourselves superior to your students. If your students explode on you during chi sao you will not block anything. You will realize that all teacher-student intimidation will then fade away...
There is also a microscopic trick you also do (won't say what) before you blast you stikes, that you have come to subconsciously perceive and you use it and no one can block you in chi sao. Tr to find it.
How do I know this? Cause I can do it myself.

I think Sifu Sergio would play around with almost everyone in Chi Sao no matter what the focus is on.
The other guy IMHO has no tention. If he has some tention then it is not into the right direction so it might be pretty easy to controll him. (I don't belong to the IWKA so this is just my objective opinion)

      Sorry, bad English :-)
      I ment "tension" and "control"

Yes I have to agree... poor chisao from defender, terrible shapes, no forward pressure, incorrect technique... I was hoping to see something better

Austin Goh is a fraud. Sergio is pretty legit though, although he does throw in some systema drills and act like we don't see it, but he certainly has some skill

Chi sao a confronto: Wing Tsun contro Wing Chun cinese. Direi che il chi sao europeo è molto più organico e meno fantasy di quello cinese.

***** This I agree with. In any touch bases martial art, going fast and violent has its place but sensitivity and relaxation lead to much higher levels of skill and longevity. When you train the way of this video you learn to respond to energy with the body versus the eyes and learn the greater understanding of the sensitivity in how it connects to the centerline versus the elbow or shoulder joints.

understand he was teaching & not demonstrating, if he was demonstrating it would be too fast for the eye, please look at his other videos.
