Sunderland fan here, thanks for the endorsement of our club. Leeds united will finish top at the end of the season, absolutely no problem,i hope we are second. Leeds are far and away the best team we have played this season, and would have won of your goalie didnt have butter all over his gloves! This is practically the same team that finished in sixteenth place last season and to think what Regis has done since then is nothing short of phenomenal. That was a great result against Sheffield United, like you said the transisional play by Sunderland was very good. You are right about the choice of pass when three on two was the wrong pass, but they are young lads and will learn from that. I am looking forward to the Leeds game, im sure it will be a great game.
I’m a Newcastle fan, I must say I hope Sunderland go up this season. Don’t get me wrong, I hate sunderland, but i would love more northern teams we’re in the prem.
Sunlun fan here. Refreshing to see someone who actually seems to analyse games and watch games. And give a good point of view. Too many are writing us off but I'm happy with that. Leeds are going up top. Best team weve played this season. Burnley should pip us to second but im starting to think we may put a run together if injured players come back. Sheff utd arent great. But could still get top two. Its all about consistency at this stage.
Yes well Sunderland beat and out played Burnley but maybe Burnley have their act together now.. this is like watching a marathon and 4 runners pull away none dare lose ground on the others, but Sunderland huffed and puffed their way past Portsmouth we struggle with the lower teams.. Yes best team at SOL this season Leeds U
SAFC fan here. Firstly, I think Leeds are the best team in the division this season and wish you well. Secondly, thank you for a nice endorsement of our club.
Very good watch that mate as a Sunderland fan. You know your stuff and refreshing to see someone who knows what they’re talking about. Good luck for the rest of the season apart from our game at your place haha. Hope to be in the promotion battle with yous.
SAFC fan of many years, and there are absolutely no complaints from me. This young team are a joy to be watching, yes there are mistakes at times of ten born of inexperience but they are giving their absolute all for the club. The connection with the fans is excellent overall and often skewed by a minority at every club who are quick to criticise after a bad result on social media. Our squad is definitely ahead of where i would have expected us to be this season and will only get better. Le Bris has been brilliant, and our youth development is becoming well established and known throughout the game - which becomes a virtuous circle - long may it continue. Great objective review by you and pretty much bang on from my perspective. Great work.
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head summing Sunderland up. I agree about o nien as the ‘bomb scare’ but he’s also the guy who will throw himself at the bomb. Leeds to win the league 👏🏻👏🏻
Great review. Commentators on all night about Sheffield United's injuries. Sunderland have NINE Out, Including Rigg, Ballard, Watson, Browne, Mundle, and Huggins.
@@SuperTronGaming we had three u21 players on the bench, a striker who's definitely off in January and an injured Cirkin. Not exactly a star studded bench
@@SuperTronGaming Sheff Utd had their best player on the bench who nearly changed the game for them. If they were actually struggling to make a First XI Wilder would never have made that decision
As a Makem this was a great review !!! We have come a long way in a short time & its not that we don't realise what we've got but the inconsistencies that we have in the squad !!! O.k. injuries have decimated us but thats part and parcel in the championship ,you have to expect it !!!! No its the fact that we have so many young players & not enough experience !!! The kids can't pace themselves so that's why injuries are occuring and they're running on empty Gr8 win tonite but if that penalty had gone in , would've bin a different game !!! Some great individual performances but we had to hang in for large periods and we could never relax !!! Our next 2 games Pompey ( H ) & Burnley ( A ) could be a springboard but which Sunderland team turns up ?? Happy New Year & All the best mate !!! 🎉🎉🎉
Are ye Sunderland fans not able to afford ye'r own channel why are ye coming on to a leeds channel. Bad enough dropping points against Blackburn. But having to listen to whining Sunderland fans on a leeds channel makes things worse.🙄🤨
@@michaelpower4372 you're a muppet he's talking about sunlun for the whole time, oh yeah lets talk about Burnley instead, wow there really are some thickos in the world
Lets face it, this league is tremendous. Proper fans and clubs. I might sound ridiculous to some, but i honestly don’t want to see us in the Prem anytime soon. I love so much about this league.
I know what you mean I hate what the daft money has done to the competitivity (if that’s a word) of the PL but even though I’m old and I’ve seen it all I still deep down hope for a good SAFC showing in the top flight.
Respect young man, thankbyou for your unbiased opinion of SAFC great to hear really genuine football supporters having proper football conversations, none of us know how the season will end, we know how it Should end but THIS IS FOOTBALL, totally unpredictable but a reminder that if you lose two games then the pack are on you. That's what makes the championship so exciting, all the best for the rest of the year.. will subscribe to this channel too..
Sunderland fan, great result tonight- we’re not playing at the levels we started the season for obvious reasons- amount of games the main 11 are having to play like a lot of teams and as you touched on: some first choice in their position players out injured- it’s almost like we’re just trying to get through the weeks till the likes of Mundle and Browne are back, Rigg not out for too long! We also have a. Midfielder we’re all kean to get a look at- Samed who we took on loan to rehabilitate and is looking almost ready to play and by all accounts is an absolute beast of a cdm/cm. If we can bring in a real strong option up top as cover and maybe even a partnership we could really have a great finish to the season and who knows where it might take us! Cheers for the positive words on our performance and achievements so far and all the best for the rest of the season! You never know we could be accompanying you into the prem or if you’re not too careful you could be accompanying us if we leapfrog you 😂😂😂😂 👍🙏👏🏻
Really great analysis. I agree, Regis Le Bris deserves so much credit. Its good time to be sunderland fan at the minute. I think leeds will definitely get automatic spot this year, best we've played
By the way you'll realise by the amount of comments from Sunderland fans. What football is to us up here. Good way of getting your subs up & growing your channel mate. Best of luck to you & all the best
Great piece on us and thanks because there is an element of our fanbase determined to see us fail for some bizarre reason so they can say, "I told you so." We're possibly punching, given the youth of our squad, however the recruitment as you say has been great, yes, there may be an element of luck as a fee don't quite hit the mark but that is the nature of the beast with recruitment. One last thing, on O'Nien I think you've done the lad a disservice tbh as he is one of the most consistent defenders in our squad and been involved in more clean sheets than any other. Yes, he has a brainfart now and then, but he is immense and the only CB who can bring the ball out like he can. His character and antics sometimes I think overshadow his actual quality. But again, great piece and refreshing to see an honest outside view on our season so far. Lastly, Leeds are the best team in the league by a street and if we're second to that, then spotty dog . All the best. 👌🏻👍🏻
Sunderland fan here , you know your stuff, and you give a real comprehensive evaluation of all teams in and around , i do disagree with your feelings on Luke O'Nien , the guy is a massive statesman for SAFC , what he gives and has given to the club over the years earns his get out of jail card for me ! , Leeds looking good for the jump for me ! And wish them the best !
Class analysis that lad. Certainly know your onions, very knowledgeable and a good outside point of view. Disagree slightly in relation to O'Nein, had a poor game but he's been generally very good in 2024, absolutely class on the ball and compliments how we play perfectly. Let's have a Leeds/SAFC 1st and 2nd!
as a sunderland fan who grew up with us going down to old 3 rd division, then watching gabbiadini / eric gates/ kevin phillips / kevin ball / niall quinn etc etc i have to say i’m actually proud to be a sunderland fan for the last 3 years, still loved the club previous to this. but the jack rodwell saga literally sickened me, and the other end of career players on big money taking the piss out of the club , purely the fact a lot these boys are local /academy lads or youngsters brought in at early age, and are not on big money deals makes me respect the job done by previous managers and the club owners to some extent, last season we just needed a decent centre forward , my opinion is we should buy isidor right now , seriously start blooding young striker trey before he’s lost to bigger clubs before even starting his sunderland career , then tie the rest of the lads in with longer contracts to ensure if they are sold we get the highest possible price to improve the team , mayenda mundle etc will improve a lot over next 2 seasons , i loved watching jack clarke play , he loved playing for us but i’m sure it was the failure to get that striker in that ultimately led to him leaving, and i had no problem with that decision even though i wanted him to stay, regarding luke o nien, he might make mistakes but he’s a leader and a battler sort of kevin ball or probably better to say cattermole mould, but every team needs that type of player in or around the squad , just maybe needs to cut out the rugby tackling on corners or set peices , but that’s probably due to the fact he knows he’s usually at a big height disadvantage , but did well to give the pen when keifer was about to score/ then tactical foul in 2nd half but all in all super proud of being a sunderland fan , i’ve moved 5hr drive away , and the area i’m in seems to have very few actual fans, it’s all man u/ chelsea/man city/liverpool / arsenal fans and are no where near the teams they support ( from the pub or armchair) as they don’t go to the actual games lol 😂 or even been inside the stadiums sunderland forever ❤
Fair and thorough analysis mate, thing is that’s often missed with Sunderland is Patterson is an academy product, local lad, Same for Dan Neil, same for Chris rigg. Hume was bought for 200k and virtually came thru Sunderland’s academy, mayenda 19, Bellingham 19, cirkin 22, Mundle 21 etc.. Ballard was only 2m Roberts was a free transfer, we lost Clarke our best player. We lost amad diallo back to Man Utd, we lost Ellis simms to Everton and then Coventry bought him and we lost Stewart to Southampton. Our academy and we have signed some good players and given them a chance is what’s propelled us, up against the 3 teams on parachute money too. We missed cirkin, Ballard, rigg, Mundle today and others like Browne out too hurts us. We need more options up front and left wing imo We can beat any team in the league but injuries might cost us unless we spend a little We need to remove some dead wood, rusyn, auochiche, ba etc all need to move on
It is the first time I have watched your channel and I really appreciate your comments. If we are still in 'the hunt' come the 17th February,, then It will have the potential to be a classic!
Leeds are the best team we've played this season by far. But the most pleasing thing for me as a Sunderland supporter is the fact that we are competing with the 3 relegated teams & their parachute payments. We lost our main man to Ipswich for a fair fee as well. But we're producing young players for fun. Jobe Bellingham has been fantastic this season, Dan Neil has been great the past month. We've got a lot of pace up front as well. The biggest improvement in our team for me. Is how the youngsters have learnt how to cope with the physical aspect of the Championship. They're obviously gaining more experience & getting stronger as they mature. It's always going to be hard for us to compete with the relegated teams. Whether it's this season or next. With the experience they have & the payments they receive. But a little patience & we'll get there again. I've got a feeling we'll be taking Trafalger Square over again. Yous will go up in my opinion yous are the best team in the league.
Think you're spot on mate. Can't believe we're still in a shout for top 2 after pretty much giving away 5 points against Blackburn and stoke. Win against Portsmouth and then things seriously do get interesting as we have some of starting 11 players coming back from injury and we have a chance to sign some players before our next league game on the 18th!
Sunderland fan. I was shocked Sheffield didn't dominate us. Especially with just having two in the midfield but having two up front made a massive difference tonight. Unfortunately, Leeds are by far the best not just starting 11 but full squad in the league. Best team I've seen play at the SOL so far this season. Leeds should dominate the league.
Superb review of SAFC. The club has progressed, so far, in the last 3 years. However, such is modern day football, that it's not good enough for a section of the fans. And, I keep thinking, is it too early to be promoted, given our young squad. I would disagree about O'Nien. Yes, last night was a mare, for him. However, he's been good overall. And, Ballard has had three or four iffy games. That's not to say Ballard won't progress into a great defender.
Another Sunderland fan here, nice job mate. I wish I had the confidence you have in our capabilities. Just been hurt too many times, but 🤞... P.S. Leeds are the best team we have played this season. Good luck to us both, let's hope for another 1963/64 season (the first season I remember as a kid and a fan) when we were both promoted.
I think the discontent is more to do with the fact that we could have been doing even better than we currently are, some of the late goals we’ve conceded this season have been killers
I am absolutely over the moon with how well we’ve done just hope we don’t drop again like last season we always struggle with injuries come this stage of the rest of the season
SAFC fan here. Thanks for your assessment of the top of the Championship and ditto with the two previous comments. I think Leeds will win the title and eoild like to see us join uou in 2nd place, if nothing else, its our turn
Thank you CONOR 👍👌 Oh dear 😱 are SHEFF UTD now being found out 🤦 Not a good XMAS period for them 😩😫 Where's JIMMY when you need him to ramble at this moment in time 😂🤣 SUNDERLAND have had players injured which has really shown with their recent results & we've got to be honest, when they have all their players together with BELLINGHAM they've been playing some pretty good football 🤔 We probably gave them their biggest test but apart from us I think any other team they play against this season with their best team they beat all the other clubs in this division 🤔 Cheers SUNDERLAND...👌👍
Sunderland fan here. I thought that commentary was exceptional in its insight and knowledge of the Division. To be able to talk so well about our players as you dud was impressive as I couldn't talk about yours to the same extent. Well done and by the way Leeds are the best team and will win it.
Only thing I need to notice mate is Sunderland players the Patterson,Hume, cirkin,Alesse,Neil they are in their 3rd season in the championship now plus the Jobe in his 2nd championship season with us, we've got the experienced players I've mentioned in Ballard,Mepham,Roberts,Browne Paveda,Connolly who know the league inside out people forget that so I can't see us fading away like some have predicted & we've beaten boro,Burnley, Sheffield United all at home draw with Leeds proving we are holding our own against teams above us with the parachute money etc
Sunderland fan, i think we've been amazing this season so far. There's a couple of issues like every other team in the league, which can be fixed. There are no easy teams in the championship. Le Bris is doing an amazing job in all fairness but we do need to strengthen our defence and maybe the midfield to give players a rest that's played the full 90 every single match. Playing them that much causes injuries which can cause bigger problems further down the line.
As a Sunderland fan you say people are wanting a striker in January yes maybe but we love Isidor all Sunderland fans do, if we were to get promoted we would invest massive we have experienced players as well Mepham, Ballard,Paveda Roberts,Browne, Connolly, we play Burnley 17th January where I think we will get something, great vlog mate
Thanks m8 for being so honest in your opinion of our team last night we are down to the bear bones right now, regarding your team strong all over the pitch and you should get promoted when we played you guys earlier in the season that was a proper hard game enjoyable watch, so I hope you lot get promoted and we are too......this division is bloody hard going it's a marvellous division to watch your team in full of drama, anyway good luck for the rest of the season and see you guys at elland road further down the line.👍👍
Enjoyed your analysis, spot on and quite fair comments all round. I also think Daniel Farke deserves a lot of credit for keeping up Leeds' challenge season to season. The table is consolidating and there's now an emerging top four, the sustainability of which will be clearer by end of Jan to mid Feb after some clashes with the likes of Boro and Watford etc. Given these fixtures it should be interestingly poised by the time our two teams meet on Feb 17th...
Look at from this point of view, if sheff u are nothing special and are still up there even after points deduction, What does that say about the teams around us ? 🤷♂️😂😂😂
Gnonto was marking Guyeye which was ridiculous. Rodon looked to be marking no one for that corner they scored at. Farke got it wrong bringing on Bamford should have brought on Schmidt and pit Ampadu into midfield.
When Farke makes substitutions, there is no plan. Rothwell was the only player trying to take the game to Blackburn. The defence were flapping like penguins on speed when they scored. We are the top of a very, very poor division, and I think we will just bounce back down next season
Great review Conor and I agree the Championship is not as strong this season. Any side can beat any other because there are no really weak sides that are already cut adrift so the league is closer. It does look like four are in the hunt for automatic promotion and with the strength and depth of our squad we really should make the top 2. I would not discount Sunderland at this stage as well but it is a very close call. I think all of us would have taken 17 points out of the last 21 and being three points clear at the top on New Years Day which is where we have landed. MOT
Mate we gift most teams their goals, not being bitter it’s just a sad truth, it’s not often teams beat us, we are quite good at beating ourselves 🤷♂️😂😂
As a Blade, not very stunned. Good match, two well taken break away goals contributed to by bad defending. We'll get stronger as players return or are added. Big takeaway for me is that Brewster and Brooks are beginning to look like decent players. Looking forward to your visit to the Lane. That match will tell us a lot. Do you think you'll bottle it in March/April like you usually do?
Brewster is shit and the sooner we get rid the better! We’ve got a lot of injuries and just had a few tough games, and now into the transfer window. 3 points off the pace isn’t a big worry and it won’t take much to get back to the top ⚔️
A bit like Ipswich last season people think our bubble will burst. there's logic to that. A head coach who is only in his third season at that level. The top three all have coaches who have been there and done it. They are the youngest squad in the league. Younger players are more prone to dips in form and at far greater risk of burnout. Two of our midfield trio are teenagers and have played virtually every minute. The lack of fresh legs has contributed to us losing points due to late goals against. We haven't got the strength in depth of say Leeds who coped with the loss of two centre-mids and the players coming in were of very similar quality. Our cover is Browne, a very good player, and another two teenagers one of whom hasn't kicked a ball due to injury. We watch Leeds bring a host of attacking talent from the bench into the bargain. The top three will have more funds to strengthen in the Jan window. We have to fourth favorites but yet we haven't been shaken off. So yes a lot of people are underrating us. The smart money has to be on two from the top three but I wouldn't back against us. these young lads are a joy to watch. You're not wrong about Luke O having a rash decision in him. but he's the best center-back at bringing the ball out. Underrating him is easy from the outside but he was signed as an attacking midfielder from a then league two Wycombe to do a job in league one. He's played right and left back. He's now a championship standard center-back in a back three or four. He's much more than you see on the pitch. Any player coming through the door should look to him to see what can be achieved by attitude, application, and sheer hard work. Gab Sutton who tipped us for the title before a ball was kicked recently did a podcast with a fan and regular podcaster from each of the top four. Everybody agreed Sunderland was very much in the conversation for automatic. The smart money is on the top three . The smart thinking doesn't rule us out. Very nice to hear from a smart-thinking opposition fan. Great channel name by the way.
I agree with Stephenbrewis ..below but one of Leeds supporters had said that Sunderland's luck must run out soon .. We are just 3 point behind Leeds thanks to your goal keepers 2 late mistakes.. and we have a full team of injured players, RLB cannot put too many subs on as near to bear bones because of all the injuries to Chris Rigg Romaine Mundle Tommy Watson who have been gems this season
Another Sunderland supporter who believes Leeds will win the league, though don't buy your views on Luke O'Nien No one saying he is a Premireship player but in the Championship these past two seasons he has been immense
We not there yet 90 points wasn't enough and to concede a goal like that having going a goal up a great chance to get a bit of day light from the teams below 2 points dropped so not get exited as yet
very impressed with the Mackams last night. Great transition and tbh should of been a bigger difference. Came back from LS11 very frustrated after THAT performance but I was happier watching SUFC get beat.
Has to be Ballard and Mepham in the middle at the back. O Nien costing us goals on a regular basis. If Ballard not fit I would even contemplate putting Cirkin or Alese in the middle. LeBris lack of trust in the bench worries me. There is no real squad rotation at the minute so feels like we are relying on a squad of 12 which cannot be maintained. Isidor has done well, scored some great goals but struggles on his own up front. Looked much more dangerous with Mayenda alongside him on Wednesday. We need players back from injury or some new signings to hit the ground running to stay in the race for the top 2
Luke onien costing us on a regular basis? What games have you been watching? Him and Mepham or easily out 2st choice CBs, you can count on 1 hand how many bad games he's had over the last couple of years.
@@chris6634 Sheffield Utd home and away. Stoke away, off top of my head. He is not a Centre Half, which is why he takes those risks in fouling his opponent regularly. He has filled in there excellently in the past and earlier this season but when we have fit centre halves he needs to be the one to make way
@keano7800 he's not a centre half but yet he's been out best, most consistent centre half for the last 4 and half years. He's a better defender and better all round footballer than Ballard.
@@chris6634 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Give your heed a shake man. I like O Nien and no arguments with what he has done for SAFC over the past few years but that is a nonsense statement I am afraid
@keano7800 well first of all stop talking like a Geordie unless you've just outed yourself and second of all your ver much in the minority who think Luke isn't one of the 1st names on the team sheet. Ballard has been very shaky this season and hasn't got a patch on Luke's passing and vision which is critical to the way we play.
I know the league isn't as good as last season, but for me it's more exciting, anyone one of 4 or 5 teams could win this league, we've had our dodgy spell ( Sunderland) drawing about 20 games on the bounce 😂 , Leeds who are a very good team but could be due there dodgy spell 🙏
I think some fans might see us taking a result like this and thinking why couldn’t we out stoke to bed and conceding late on at the likes of Blackburn. Despite all of that we are still there or there abouts. We are miles ahead of where we thought we were. Worries for January would be loosing Ballard in possibly our weakest area. With other players to come back and others yet to feature I think everywhere else we are good
We faced Sheffield United away & deserved to beat them but got beat tonight result is massive 2 points off 2nd we are a team who are mean business,I'm not 1 of the fans who has doubted my club
I’m a mackem and a reckon if we get our key players back and keep them fit and add two or three in January we’re going to hit a bit good form come end of season and finish second with Leeds champions did say sheff utd to go up champions but after both our games we’ve played them they’ve looked quite poor and just think Leeds have the better squad to do it then think Blackburn is going to be the team to shine in the playoffs and shock a few people
I think you read too much smb, where the negativity accumulates. Most Sunderland fans absolute love this side, and will happily accept a few mistakes from talented young players. So good to see mayenda get some encouragement tonight.
Wilder has come out and said they will be signing 2 or 3 players in the window, on top of players coming back, I honestly think if we don’t sign a couple of players we might end up in the playoffs, can’t afford to stand still
Thanks for that. Our problem as I see it. We are equal to any team in the championship that wants to play football. Our problem is when a bunch of sunday league knackers turn up, looking for a draw or nicking a win in the dying minutes. Good luck for the rest of your season
Agree this division is not as good as last season having seen quite a bit of the others like brownie said leeds are better and must g up otherwise ….,,
Think you need to be watching Luke Onien closer he’s a great player. If you call onien a bomb scare then you should call Ballard a bomb scare too with his mistakes and own goals from last season and this season
10 out of 12 not a bad return indeed. We should always criticise but mustn't throw the baby out with the bath water. They other tops teams will also always hurt each other as well to Leeds' benefit which is what we're seeing.
We're a lot worse when most of our top players are injured. We were good this evening, much better than we were when we beat Sunderland at the Lane. We'll get better, too.
Defense was great early on but now they got injuries. The attack isn't bad either but without Vini Souza the balance is lacking. Vini Souza is basically 2 players, and no team in this league could afford to lose a player like him.
Let’s keep it simple, strongest team selection, Sheffield United, comfortably the best team in the league, Full squad and strength in depth, we struggle to be a top 6 side? It really is as simple as that ! Clean slate for every team no injuries, we stay where we’ve been all season no ones moving us, unfortunately that’s not how the game works but some of the comments on here are laughable really, it just shows how little people act know about the situation at Sheffield United, Real ones know it’s a miracle Chris has got us to where we are, Still loads to play for, looking at other teams in and around the mix, providing we have a good transfer window I mean come on, we are that bad we are 3 off top with a bad run and a 2 point deduction 🤷♂️😂😂😂
Great run in to come. Leeds could still do a Leeds but it's theirs to lose. Sunderland, I agree look really good, Burnley will be in and around it with their defence, as for Sheff Utd, we need re- enforcements fast. Wilders doing a great job, but Soutter is a huge loss, as is Arblaster. Hopefully Wilder can pull a few rabbits out of the hat. We're one or two players off being great.
Seriously it’s our own hands if we don’t win the league we only have ourselves to blame - okay l been hectic and we would have taken the points we got but we need to break away - seems Farke knows his best 11 & hopefully largie gets match fit and matteo starts scoring- maybe a decent striker in Jan n offload Joffy @ bamford but seriously the competition isn’t anywhere near as last season mot n let’s get dumped out of the fa cup not important 😊
Sunderland arent underrated conor, they are a decent side. The problem is with them is they're perhaps overachieving for where their fans expected them to be. As a result of this they are prone to dropping silly points (like the 5 or 6 draws on the trot) For this reason i dont expect them to threaten our position in the league, but they could well threaten burnley and Sheffield uniteds position in the league - who are both prone to regular slip ups themselves.
Safc fan.Really good knowledge on our team,Leeds should sign you up!I Like o9 but refs arnt daft same as you they will pick up on his dare I say cheating and you correct saying that behaviour won't be tolerated in the Premier,Ballard back in after his injury.
There is a great buzz in Sunderland and my good friend sent me a message .Haway the Lads just before kick off .I am thinking she couid be right. Hope to see you all in the promised land with the mighty whites .
Please don't talk as if Sunderland fans are not liking Isidor cos you say whatever we say about Isidor well we love him so I don't see your point of saying some Sunderland fans don't like Isidor when it's not the case
As a Sunderland supporter I have to say Leeds are far and away the best team I have seen this season. I wish you all the best this season.
Cheers mate, same to you.
Likewise. I thought the blades were poor both games against us, Leeds mullered us
I’m a Newcastle fan, I must say I hope Sunderland go up this season. Don’t get me wrong, I hate sunderland, but i would love more northern teams we’re in the prem.
Id sacrifice having u guys relegated for a season just for the derby next season 😂@@danhedley2253

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head summing Sunderland up. I agree about o nien as the ‘bomb scare’ but he’s also the guy who will throw himself at the bomb. Leeds to win the league 👏🏻👏🏻
So true 👏👏👏
O'Nien is a very good footballer, it's only in the Sheff U game that he made two errors
It's nice to see a honest Leeds support thank you 🔴⚪
Nice to here a great view from you on your channel all the best for the season Sunderland fan
Great review. Commentators on all night about Sheffield United's injuries. Sunderland have NINE Out, Including Rigg, Ballard, Watson, Browne, Mundle, and Huggins.
sick of commentators not being able to accept we’re actually a half decent team😂
Sunderland have subs. Sheff utd barely have a starting 11, that's the difference
@@danwilliams256 also we didn’t make a sub until about 80 mins anyway!
From a black cats fan I wish some of our fans could see what you do regarding our progress ! Haway the lads
Some great individual
performances but we had to hang in for large periods and we could never relax !!!

Lets face it, this league is tremendous. Proper fans and clubs.
I might sound ridiculous to some, but i honestly don’t want to see us in the Prem anytime soon.
I love so much about this league.
Completely agree, getting promoted to the prem is better than actually being in it. Championship is an outstanding league
I know what you mean I hate what the daft money has done to the competitivity (if that’s a word) of the PL but even though I’m old and I’ve seen it all I still deep down hope for a good SAFC showing in the top flight.
@@lmillssafc The Championship is by far the best second tier league in the world end of! This is a statement of fact.
Good summary, but have to say Luke O’Nein has been exceptional for most of season.
You never know we could be accompanying you into the prem or if you’re not too careful you could be accompanying us if we leapfrog you 😂😂😂😂 👍🙏👏🏻
Ballard out too we always have someone injured if only we can get all back for the run in we would be cooking
The most balanced view of the championship I have heard, smart guy
Really great analysis. I agree, Regis Le Bris deserves so much credit. Its good time to be sunderland fan at the minute. I think leeds will definitely get automatic spot this year, best we've played
By the way you'll realise by the amount of comments from Sunderland fans. What football is to us up here. Good way of getting your subs up & growing your channel mate. Best of luck to you & all the best
wow a Leeds fan who knows football and not has Leeds gegs on👓 that's rare. 👍
Sunderland fan here , you know your stuff, and you give a real comprehensive evaluation of all teams in and around , i do disagree with your feelings on Luke O'Nien , the guy is a massive statesman for SAFC , what he gives and has given to the club over the years earns his get out of jail card for me ! ,
Leeds looking good for the jump for me ! And wish them the best !
09 has been absolutely superb for us most the season to be fair
I can second that smart player
If Mundle and Riggy come back in the next fortnight things will look very good.
Mayenda 🔴⚪️💥
as a sunderland fan who grew up with us going down to old 3 rd division, then watching gabbiadini / eric gates/ kevin phillips / kevin ball / niall quinn etc etc
i have to say i’m actually proud to be a sunderland fan for the last 3 years, still loved the club previous to this. but the jack rodwell saga literally sickened me, and the other end of career players on big money taking the piss out of the club ,
purely the fact a lot these boys are local /academy lads or youngsters brought in at early age, and are not on big money deals makes me respect the job done by previous managers and the club owners to some extent, last season we just needed a decent centre forward ,
my opinion is we should buy isidor right now , seriously start blooding young striker trey before he’s lost to bigger clubs before even starting his sunderland career , then tie the rest of the lads in with longer contracts to ensure if they are sold we get the highest possible price to improve the team , mayenda mundle etc will improve a lot over next 2 seasons , i loved watching jack clarke play , he loved playing for us but i’m sure it was the failure to get that striker in that ultimately led to him leaving, and i had no problem with that decision even though i wanted him to stay, regarding luke o nien, he might make mistakes but he’s a leader and a battler sort of kevin ball or probably better to say cattermole mould, but every team needs that type of player in or around the squad , just maybe needs to cut out the rugby tackling on corners or set peices , but that’s probably due to the fact he knows he’s usually at a big height disadvantage , but did well to give the pen when keifer was about to score/ then tactical foul in 2nd half
but all in all super proud of being a sunderland fan , i’ve moved 5hr drive away , and the area i’m in seems to have very few actual fans, it’s all man u/ chelsea/man city/liverpool / arsenal fans and are no where near the teams they support ( from the pub or armchair) as they don’t go to the actual games lol 😂
or even been inside the stadiums
sunderland forever ❤
Fair and thorough analysis mate, thing is that’s often missed with Sunderland is Patterson is an academy product, local lad,
Same for Dan Neil, same for Chris rigg.
Hume was bought for 200k and virtually came thru Sunderland’s academy, mayenda 19, Bellingham 19, cirkin 22, Mundle 21 etc.. Ballard was only 2m
Roberts was a free transfer, we lost Clarke our best player.
We need more options up front and left wing imo
We can beat any team in the league but injuries might cost us unless we spend a little
We need to remove some dead wood, rusyn, auochiche, ba etc all need to move on
It is the first time I have watched your channel and I really appreciate your comments.
Each team drop points are gain lucky points Sunderland got away with a point in the 90+5 it's football and every club gets lucky
Sunderland fan here, brilliant video.
That's not to say Ballard won't progress into a great defender.
i see Sheffield United conceded 105 goals last year in the prem; a record
I’m a Sunderland fan we did good today should off easily beat them 5-1 but like I say Sheffield is a good squad and just happy that we won FTM 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Sunderland fans here leeds will run away with it! We were so lucky to get a point against you at home
Do you support Sunderland because if you do you are a disgrace
Another Sunderland fan here, nice job mate. I wish I had the confidence you have in our capabilities. Just been hurt too many times, but 🤞... P.S. Leeds are the best team we have played this season. Good luck to us both, let's hope for another 1963/64 season (the first season I remember as a kid and a fan) when we were both promoted.
Support them instead
Great review bud👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think the discontent is more to do with the fact that we could have been doing even better than we currently are, some of the late goals we’ve conceded this season have been killers
I am absolutely over the moon with how well we’ve done just hope we don’t drop again like last season we always struggle with injuries come this stage of the rest of the season
SAFC fan here. Thanks for your assessment of the top of the Championship and ditto with the two previous comments. I think Leeds will win the title and eoild like to see us join uou in 2nd place, if nothing else, its our turn
Thank you CONOR 👍👌
Oh dear 😱 are SHEFF UTD now being found out 🤦
Not a good XMAS period for them 😩😫
Where's JIMMY when you need him to ramble at this moment in time 😂🤣
SUNDERLAND have had players injured which has really shown with their recent results & we've got to be honest, when they have all their players together with BELLINGHAM they've been playing some pretty good football 🤔
We probably gave them their biggest test but apart from us I think any other team they play against this season with their best team they beat all the other clubs in this division 🤔
Cheers SUNDERLAND...👌👍
Sunderland fan here. I thought that commentary was exceptional in its insight and knowledge of the Division. To be able to talk so well about our players as you dud was impressive as I couldn't talk about yours to the same extent. Well done and by the way Leeds are the best team and will win it.
Considering how badly we choked tonight, we still ended the day better off than we began. MOT
Might be Man Utd coming down also😀
😂 would love it if scumchester get relegated
Great content av subbed!! FTM
Lets be honest Sheffield utd are nothing special. Nothing in the league like Leicester and Ipswich last Season.
Agree good going forward Hamer can hit a goal but shaky when attacked jittery uncertain
Look at from this point of view, if sheff u are nothing special and are still up there even after points deduction,
What does that say about the teams around us ? 🤷♂️😂😂😂
@@leakylloyd8423it says the teams around ye are not getting favours from the ref.😅😂
You can only go and compete with who is in league that season. Last season is irrelevant. Sheffield utd arnt much special yet only 3 points off
@Karlos-h8z we are lucky there isn't a Leicester or a Ipswich.
@TravellersDanceBar I think we'll need 6 or 7 signings next season.
MOT
Sheff Utd gifted them both goals
You still have to put them in the back of the net and we did tonight.
Do you
@jbmb194 tbh, no. You're quite good this season...
Brewster is shit and the sooner we get rid the better! We’ve got a lot of injuries and just had a few tough games, and now into the transfer window. 3 points off the pace isn’t a big worry and it won’t take much to get back to the top ⚔️
Think Sheff Utd will be in the play-offs tbh.
@@PaulTaylor80 Brewster was good last night. Generally he has been bad, but there are one or two signs he's getting better. Brooks good too.
I agree with Stephenbrewis ..below
but one of Leeds supporters had said that Sunderland's luck must run out soon ..
Another Sunderland supporter who believes Leeds will win the league, though don't buy your views on Luke O'Nien
No one saying he is a Premireship player but in the Championship these past two seasons he has been immense
Ballard has been very shaky this season and hasn't got a patch on Luke's passing and vision which is critical to the way we play.
great vlog.
I know it’s praising us (Sunderland) but it’s a very knowledgeable and balanced view of what’s going on in the Championship. Would make a good pundit.

Haway The Lads
Don't forget we were 5 points clear a few months ago...
We are sunderland get the rave on ❤️
I know the league isn't as good as last season, but for me it's more exciting, anyone one of 4 or 5 teams could win this league, we've had our dodgy spell ( Sunderland) drawing about 20 games on the bounce 😂 , Leeds who are a very good team but could be due there dodgy spell 🙏
Wilder has come out and said they will be signing 2 or 3 players in the window, on top of players coming back, I honestly think if we don’t sign a couple of players we might end up in the playoffs, can’t afford to stand still
Goodluck for the rest of season i got yous winning the league my opinion
Thanks for that. Our problem as I see it. We are equal to any team in the championship that wants to play football. Our problem is when a bunch of sunday league knackers turn up, looking for a draw or nicking a win in the dying minutes. Good luck for the rest of your season
Agree this division is not as good as last season having seen quite a bit of the others like brownie said leeds are better and must g up otherwise ….,,
Great channel. Safc. New subscriber
Very good watch safc fan here leeds to win league. We have a chance for second)
Think you need to be watching Luke Onien closer he’s a great player. If you call onien a bomb scare then you should call Ballard a bomb scare too with his mistakes and own goals from last season and this season
it has to be this season for us because jobe Rigg ballard Dan neil will all be going to prem with us or without us
10 out of 12 not a bad return indeed. We should always criticise but mustn't throw the baby out with the bath water. They other tops teams will also always hurt each other as well to Leeds' benefit which is what we're seeing.
If Sunderland can beat Burnley and we can beat Sunderland at home ,that'll be it
If we go up we need massive investment, we do have experience in Mepham Ballard, Roberts, Browne, Paveda, Connolly
I wonder if sheff United are a lot worse than their points total suggest.
just injuries. lack of depth
We're a lot worse when most of our top players are injured. We were good this evening, much better than we were when we beat Sunderland at the Lane. We'll get better, too.
@@julianfisher8190 exactly, half their squad is out
Defense was great early on but now they got injuries. The attack isn't bad either but without Vini Souza the balance is lacking. Vini Souza is basically 2 players, and no team in this league could afford to lose a player like him.
Let’s keep it simple, strongest team selection,
Sheffield United, comfortably the best team in the league,
Full squad and strength in depth, we struggle to be a top 6 side?
It really is as simple as that !
Clean slate for every team no injuries, we stay where we’ve been all season no ones moving us, unfortunately that’s not how the game works but some of the comments on here are laughable really, it just shows how little people act know about the situation at Sheffield United,
Real ones know it’s a miracle Chris has got us to where we are,
Still loads to play for, looking at other teams in and around the mix, providing we have a good transfer window I mean come on, we are that bad we are 3 off top with a bad run and a 2 point deduction 🤷♂️😂😂😂
Tierry isador and maybappe lmao hope that takes off
Sunderland arent underrated conor, they are a decent side. The problem is with them is they're perhaps overachieving for where their fans expected them to be.
As a result of this they are prone to dropping silly points (like the 5 or 6 draws on the trot)
For this reason i dont expect them to threaten our position in the league, but they could well threaten burnley and Sheffield uniteds position in the league - who are both prone to regular slip ups themselves.
Sunderland can do us a lot of favours
Safc fan.Really good knowledge on our team,Leeds should sign you up!I Like o9 but refs arnt daft same as you they will pick up on his dare I say cheating and you correct saying that behaviour won't be tolerated in the Premier,Ballard back in after his injury.
Sundetland have injuries galore, we have squandered leads in the last minute so many times, had we not conceded late so many times we would be clear
There is a great buzz in Sunderland and my good friend sent me a message .Haway the Lads just before kick off .I am thinking she couid be right. Hope to see you all in the promised land with the mighty whites .
Interesting results how Leeds manage 2b better off is baffling
They all forget SUNDERLAND are a team of kids
Us, Sheffield u and Burnley
I agree with everything but leave my Luke alone :P
Please don't talk as if Sunderland fans are not liking Isidor cos you say whatever we say about Isidor well we love him so I don't see your point of saying some Sunderland fans don't like Isidor when it's not the case
Find me one Sunderland fan that is not waxing lyrical about Regie .... So the opening comment about fans not accepting where we are ??? Really !!!
