Tension > Padam Padam. It's not that complicated. The lyrics use simile to describe Kylie as a bunch of different things to her lover. Sorbet, chili, vacay, etc. Thus, the video features a homunculus Kylie (in black) influencing and interacting with representations of a bunch of different Kylie which in turn reference various eras: soft, pink girl next door Kylie, Showgirl Kylie, Fever Kylie, etc.

Personally I think it's sort of a reference to the different era Kylies. The one with the hat is probably the 80s Kylie who used to wear quite a number of big brimmed hats. The one with the platinum hair looks like the X era Kylie. The red hair one reminds me of when Kylie had a red bob back in 1994/1995. And of course there's Showgirl Kylie from 2005.

I’m sure a lot of it is pulled from blade runner 2049 , the clips and the end I think are like a vegas stage , and Kylie is replicant holograms , the table scene again is saying blade runner to me , and the black outfit and the red wig and boots outfit ,
There was a vegas of the future in blade runner 2049 where there was a hologram Elvis and Sinatra, they where switched on and off in very much the same way the multiple kylies are , that’s the reference I see but I’m blade runner obsessed :). Xx

The song is alright. I’d still add it to the mix but it’s not anywhere on the level of tracks from Fever, Body Language, X, and Aphrodite. Maybe it just needed a better producer. Padam Padam was brilliant tho. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the album.

It's definitely the most incohesive/disjointed single she's ever dropped but that's OK. It's very 2022 in that way and really enlivens what would otherwise be a kind of forgettable 90's Euro-club track... Not that's there anything wrong with that, since I grew up on that stuff...

It’s confusing but my interpretation of the video is she went into the small house to create a new Kylie persona with help from what looks like a Kylie holographic shopkeeper/assistant and when she leaves at the end she must have taken the image as she flickers sporadically into the red wig sparkly Kylie. That’s the best I can do. 🤷🏻♂️😂
