His inability to take charge, when the offense was not setting up fast enough, with Caleb looked out of sorts, and calling a timeout before letting 20+ seconds tick off the clock, is pathetic and inexcusable. He needs to wake up tomorrow morning with a message on his phone indicating he's been fired.
You guys should definitely let flus remain the coach until Tuesday or Wednesday next week so we can handle this the bears way. That way we can make sure we’re still unprepared for the game
Is Eberflus illegally betting on Bears outcomes? Literally, if that was the reason, that would make sense. Otherwise, these blunders week after week after week are incomprehensible. I've never ever seen a team find so many ridiculously crazy ways to lose in all of my years watching football. This team could arguably have 8 or 9 wins by now and their late game coaching strategy is costing them games. Flus is a good man but he needs to be let go tomorrow and let Thomas Brown be the interim coach the rest of the season. It can't get any worse than this. It's worse losing all these close games b/c we know this team is playoff potential and this year is just being wasted by idiotic late game management. Flus is a good man but good god, let's end this misery already
Mr. Eberflus doesn't seem like a stand-up guy. The proper explanation doesn't include "I think we handled it the right way." There is no one else in America who believes the last 20 seconds were handled the right way.
We let a good coach get away because of adversity because in reality the offense had a a brain fart at the wrong time and she should’ve called timeout at 9 seconds the play should’ve gotten started at 25
The fact that he can't change anything in retrospect even when he LOST says everything. When people ask what went wrong and all he does is keep repeating what the plan "should have been" it tells everyone that he's blaming the players. The fact that the great plan was actually fine, it was the execution that didn't work only leaves the blame on the players, but he knows he can't actually say that it was their fault so he has to just keep repeating himself like a child caught in a lie.
Does he even realize he just defined why the Bears should have fired him immediately? That was coaching you see from a High School Band director that is filling in for a High School football team just so the kids can play........
Matt Eberflus, the head coach of the Chicago Bears, reportedly signed a five-year contract that runs through the 2026 season. This means he has two years remaining on his contract after the current season, which may influence decisions about his job security.
At this point, all of the Bears management should be fired. If Warren and Poles can't make the obvious decision to fire Eberflus, then they need to go too.
So disgusting to watch, is sad that nothing will really happen until they either sell the team or get good football minded people running the team. The BEARS are the new lions of old. Why is it so hard to get a good head coach?
5:25 into that presser before the guy says: "It's on me." Earlier in the season the Lions had a similar gaggle at the end of the half where they didn't get a field goal off because no one knew what the hell they were doing. First words out of Coach Campbell's mouth the first time he was asked about it: "That was all my fault." He could have hung it on the coordinator or the players for that matter but he said it was on him and he might have cost em the game. It's called accountability. This guy ducked and dodged more than a politician. I'm a Lions fan, and I said you guys should have beaten us both times last year. I'm not going to say you all should have won this game but at a minimum it should have gone to overtime. I had the Bears picked as WC team this year because the talent is there. If this guy still has a job on Monday that'll be on the owners. Word around our camp fire is Ben Johnson might take the gig if it's offered to him. I hope that doesn't happen because I'm selfish that way, but I still say your team will be the Lions main competition in the NFC North for the next few years. There's nothing wrong with your QB that a bit of coaching up can't fix, and Ben is a helluva fixer-upper. I just hope you find your next coach somewhere else. I feel bad for ya for two reasons. As a Lions fan I have lived your pain. Second, you're not Green Bay so I can feel bad for ya. I'm not sure we will beat you on your home field. That's why we needed this one. You'll be okay once you lose this clown.
He nailed the questions! Listen man, he's not used too being in close games, he's used to being blown out! so now they have a winning team, so what he's gonna learn from this, and I believe he will be better from this going forward! Like he said, they're right there finally! Keep your head down keep working
Once u see that your team is having trouble lining up even while the clock is ticking down, u have to have enough sense to see that your ideal scenario of "get the ball closer & down to 7 sec and kick the ball" ain't gonna happen so u have to call the TO to reset the players for 1 planned final shot.

“I like what we did there” = Let the clock run out while you have a real chance to tie or win with one timeout remaining
I’ve never been more excited to read a comments section in my life
Worst case of coaching paralysis I’ve ever seen. At least Nagy would take the blame for his actions.
😂
This guy should be thankful to have an extra timeout for next week just in case.
😂😂😂
Mr. Eberflus doesn't seem like a stand-up guy. The proper explanation doesn't include "I think we handled it the right way." There is no one else in America who believes the last 20 seconds were handled the right way.
The sad part is, he actually believes the bs that is coming out his mouth 🤡🙄
Sell the team! Fire Flus! Let Thomas Brown audition for Head Coach for 2025.
Middle school coach could have handled that better. This guy is a joke. I’m not even a bears fan. Fire him!
😂
Terrible Clock Management, Hopefully Change comes Sooner than Later 💔🐻⬇️🙏🏾
How many new ways can this team lose?
He better “re-rack” his coaching career
We let a good coach get away because of adversity because in reality the offense had a a brain fart at the wrong time and she should’ve called timeout at 9 seconds the play should’ve gotten started at 25
Even at the age of 8, I knew to call timeout playing John Madden with 30 seconds
You did not handle it the right way thank you Poles for making the change.
Dude this is unacceptable. He didn’t take a ounce of responsibility
Fire him 🤬
5:20 as a bears fan I don’t like this guy but everyone is saying he won’t take accountability but he did right here
You need a psychiatrist!!
We wanted to rack that play . And it was an emotional time . Crowd was loud .
All he heard was I want my mama I am scared.
This is NOT a Super Bowl Caliber Head Coach. If Poles thought this is a Super Bowl Head Coach he should go too. Ruin our Thanksgiving day.
Dood trying to act all chill and wise when it’s obvious he can’t even clock manage. What a slap to the face for the bears.
Fire Eberflus!
Does he even realize he just defined why the Bears should have fired him immediately? That was coaching you see from a High School Band director that is filling in for a High School football team just so the kids can play........
the last answer was the only one that made sense. most of our losses have been dumb close. once we figure out how to close games, we'll be ready
Thank you Coach Flus 🐻
thanks for the memories
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Flus immediately!💯
He didn’t want to throw the QB under the bus for taking too long to snap the ball.
bears are gonna lose fans if they keep this guy
@gregb2 most of the fan base already gave up
Bro thought letting the game end was better than calling a penalty 🤣
what a good coach hope he does better with this team next year!
This is the equivalent of saying, “I don’t know what the Bears coach was thinking but that sure was an entertaining game.”
Relax guys, we’re obviously saving that timeout for next game.
saving the timeout for the playoffs 🤣
Matt Eberflus, the head coach of the Chicago Bears, reportedly signed a five-year contract that runs through the 2026 season. This means he has two years remaining on his contract after the current season, which may influence decisions about his job security.
saying you wouldn't have done anything differently is certainly a decision....
At this point, all of the Bears management should be fired. If Warren and Poles can't make the obvious decision to fire Eberflus, then they need to go too.
E took no responsibility for the end of the game.
4:10 - 0 accountability!!!
The change was long overdue. With the proper leadership this team can flourish in 2025.
I think he made the right decision keep him for next year he has good potential
He nailed the questions! Listen man, he's not used too being in close games, he's used to being blown out! so now they have a winning team, so what he's gonna learn from this, and I believe he will be better from this going forward! Like he said, they're right there finally! Keep your head down keep working
Poles: your offensive line is trash and your coaching staff is worse. Just in case that’s still not obvious
Every Bears fan should boycott all the home games for the rest of the season until the Head Coach is fired.
Agreed. BOYCOTT THE HOME GAMES!!
and they should chant sell the team as loud as they can with t shirts that say sell
If we keep this guy, the bears is not serious organization
Agreed
Respectfully, someone needs to be held accountable for this. Whether it be player or coach. This needs to be put to an end.
Bro was like a deer in the headlights at the end of the game.
This will happen with our next coach in 2 years. It’s a never ending cycle
Poles need to own some of this too because coach should never have been here this year. It’s on him too.
MAKE CHICAGO GREAT AGAIN
Oh I see. You want an all white team. Let's see how that works out!
Once u see that your team is having trouble lining up even while the clock is ticking down, u have to have enough sense to see that your ideal scenario of "get the ball closer & down to 7 sec and kick the ball" ain't gonna happen so u have to call the TO to reset the players for 1 planned final shot.
