In most of these cases, quite the opposite actually, the rollers are actually hollow with coolant circulating through them. You dont want that rubber/silicone to bake on the rolls. Now if plastics are being milled then the rolls are heated, generally 300-400'F

I've worked in a plastics compounding facility, those rollers are heated to at least 250 degrees Fahrenheit
@Worst Nightmare these could be at a lower temperature, but in order to work the material they are heated.
