@@Allonsyyyy if listing wat you are NOT going to watch (aside from filler) is too long of a list it's worse than i was expecting. you do know that when you're caught up you'll have to wait weekly right for years to come, which includes fillers etc... and it's called anime canon for a reason in stead of filler.. if there are any future references to the anime canon that you skipped you will miss out.
there are some transition episodes between the arcs, these episodes can be skipped without fear of missing something, they are true fillers novel adaptations add a lot to development

I’m sure it’s been pointed out to you already, but in that opening scene, Boruto has Sasuke’s cloak and sword, so of course there has been massive speculation as to how he got those, what’s the mark on their arms, and what Boruto’s eye is. The dialogue between Kawaki and Boruto has been practically memorized by the community and interpreted and reinterpreted from every angle after each manga chapter comes out. I’d say it’d be worth keeping it in the back of your head while watching, especially when getting into the meat of the story, because I think it’d be really fun as an audience to see what you think all that means!
ok, so one thing I want to mention is that at the start of boruto, boruto is starting the academy which means he is 8-10 years old, a lot younger than where we started with naruto, when he was 13. I feel like this misconception is why many people have a problem with early boruto because they want him to act older than he is. I'm glad you are partaking in this series and hope you continue and enjoy!

The academy is a 1 year program if you don't fail and there isn't really a starting age tho most ppl start at that age..unlike when Kakashi was a kid (started at 5 or 6) because they were in an active war. So he graduates the academy at 12 the age naruto was in episode 1 of naruto. It's all on the wikis.

I'm more connected to Boruto than I'm to Naruto. I started watching anime in late 2017, binged all of Naruto in few months and since then watching Boruto weekly. Not a single episode missed.

I'm glad you loved the first episode! So many people hate on Boruto because they want it to be perfect and 100% action packed like the end of Shippuden. But no story is perfect, there will be some slow points. But let's not forget it took 600 episodes to get the action packed ending of Shippuden. Give Boruto the time it deserves and it WILL pay off. these kind of thing happen a lot irl, like some parents go to work for whole day and didn't really know their child personality and like leave them to grandparents, sometimes even ignore or forget when is their birthday. It's a real shit, so people who dislike Boruto never relate these thing.
As someone who keeps up to date with the Manga, I gotta say this series is definitely worth it! Some people may say it's got a slow start but if you ask me it's pacing is really good ^^ Excited to see you embark on this quest to watch Boruto grow and develop haha
It's sooo funny to me see anyone reacting to Boruto ep 1 cuz everyone's face while seeing the first 5 mins r priceless the excitement/confusion face while seeing an older boruto and Kawaki fight is just awesome.
Boruto, shippuden and og naruto are all good in their own ways. I watched everything and I'm currently rewatching many boruto episodes while waiting for the next manga canon arc to be animated and I can't wait. It gets so good as it goes on and u wouldn't wanna miss out.

Boruto is really good, it has the same things as Naruto & shipuden but now with adifferent story & characters. Yes there are fillers but those were in naruto too so don't know why people are complaining about that
the problem is that boruto has 76 percent filler. that's 136 episodes of filler and the manga is coming out monthly not weekly like naruto, so that filler list is only going to get longer and longer because they want to be greedy and not switch boruto to be a seasonal anime
I freaking love this show, Boruto is such a interesting character and his progression is so good, people who dont like him its because they dont see his development and how amazing he will become!
Personally I really love this show and Iafter sticking with it for almost 3 years since I first found out about it I'ev learned to love the characters for who they are and not for who theior parents might be. As a series Boruto is definitely different from Naruto and Shippuden as it is based on a world that has already been built and set up and only builds onto it even more as it answers questions left unsolved from Shippudem. I'm excited to see how you like the show and I'm honestly happy with the approach you're taking towarsds it as if's own thing more so than a direct continuation to compare with
I was one of the guys who was excited to watch Boruto get animated but after some anime canons and fillers, I dropped it. I wish you won't get tired on this anime like I did.
he didn't read the manga.. so i wouldn't worry about it. i was excited and loved every episode of naruto and naruto shippuuden watching it weekly since episode 115-ish of og naruto (basically going straight into years of filler, a term i had never heard about back then though to me they could encounter sasuke any moment etc.). i started reading the manga when there where 1 or 2 fillers in the middle of nagato and naruto's conversation and since then i was annoyed by all the filler and just wanted to see the manga animated.. in boruto it's not even filler. the people that hate it either just want to see all action or have read the manga and want to go into the far future where the manga plays to see that stuff animated. if you go in fresh without glancing at the future in the manga you will enjoy every minute of it.

The are just called anime-canon just to say that they are not filler. The lore of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden was genius even in dialogue-heavy episode.
@@cl3ric it's called anime canon because the anime tells a story between the lines of the monthly manga, you may consider it filler, but then you can count half of the war arc in the naruto manga also as filler. more so than a lot of the anime canon in boruto. a filler is just a bs story of a few episodes that stands on itself and has little to do with the actual story and often doesn't even fit into the timeline and after it's done generally they pretend it never happened.

15:45 the animation gets kind of inconsistent after a while because it’s releasing a new episode every week. But it’s really nothing to worry about since it doesn’t affect canon episodes and most of the good anime canon has good animation
@@xArda58 not even! Everything in the anime is canon wrile s tells its own story with support from the manga team. Because the anime and manga have so many different things and characters and developments. I call it so all sist Canon but different relevant.
BTW I know it's a bit of a bummer not seeing Naruto ACTUALLY becoming Hokage in the main series and now it jumps to after the fact here. There will be flashback episodes for this.
It's also crazy how Boruto can make more shadow clone then most joining at a young age and only being 1/3 Uzumaki I guess having the little Uzumaki blood/chakra is a lot
I started watching Boruto right after i finished Naruto like 1,5 months ago, and i love Boruto. Ofc there are loads of episodes that are fillers but other than that, i love it! Idk why are there so many people who are hating on it.
The fillers is fine honestly naruto had that too, rn though the boruto anime is very very close to the manga hence there is going to be alot of anime filler episodes for months or maybe a whole year idk. Then its people who hate it cause they say boruto is spoiled brat which is stupid, its how you grow a character etc so that argument is stupid. One point I agree with which is also why I also actually dont like Bourto or rate it as "mid" is because there are some stuff which makes literally no sense, in Shippuden everything had a reasoning to be there but in boruto it just exists cause it does which honestly is really annoying
you gotta think, boruto being able to use shadow clones and basically be a high level genin even before entering the ninja academy is the sort of upbringing naruto COULD have recieved from minato and kushina had they survived. boruto doesn't realize that having naruto and hinata as his parents is easily the biggest blessing and privilege he could've possibly had. think about how naruto had ZERO guidance until iruka/kakashi/jiraiya/fukasaku had taken him under their wing.

0:36 To be, the Boruto anime, I would put it at a 6/10 or 7/10. Not as terrible as some people say in my opinion, but certain anime canon arcs and filler episodes/arcs can be a bit boring. I haven't watched two months worth of the latest Boruto episodes until yesterday since it started losing me again (2nd time now) but now I'm caught back up. But it does have its interesting and cool moments.
That is so true lmao ive caught up to the manga but I still cant see myself enjoying it other than just some scenes which were insanely good in this show, but most of it just isent good but I still keep hope cause I wanna wait for that scene to happen
The first scene kept us guessing if Naruto will die or not and truth be told we still don't know yet. Its gonna take a while for this anime to get to the awesome parts. The anime gets really awesome when Kawaki shows up.
About borutos animation: Most of the time the animation is amazing especially in the manga canon episodes. Only at some moments the animation sucks lately but not during the important episodes. They're probably saving budget for whats Happening in the manga
What the show does have is consistency in that the characters are rarely out of model even in the action scenes. It's not like that infamous Seven Deadly Sins Meliodas meme bad at least.
@@SoulTaker78 Agreed, especially compared to the original Naruto series which was always off model and only had a sakuga episode once every 12-24 episodes. Boruto almost always has one or two really well animated episodes per arc for the big moments, and sometimes has sakuga cuts sprinkled into random episodes. So even in a relatively minor episode, you might unexpectedly get a really well animated action scene.
You will see the episode that show Naruto just become the Hokage But....so many people hate it because something happen (no spoiler) The think is,that scene MK himself made it in special chapter
The most important thing to keep in mind to enjoy Boruto is that the show is called Boruto. Naruto and his gen are in the story but they take a backseat to this generations characters just like Jiriya, Tsunade and the rest of the adults did in Naruto. This is not like DBZ where Gohan is a side character and Goku stays the lead this is all about the new gen and their journey. Personally I love Boruto and the stories it tells but most importantly I just love the new characters and their bonds so I don't mind watching fun episodes that doesn't have world ending stakes or arcs that focus on the characters instead of the manga big bads. Most of the hate comes from people unable to accept that Naruto and Sasuke isn't the MCs anymore or some people that bring up the same invalid criticisms that was resolved 5 years ago 😆
Or maybe because no one wanted boruto to be a thing, the show is like 75% fillers and all of them are a slog to get through. All of the characters are blatant copies of their parents. And Boruto is only rivaled by romcom mc's in terms of annoyingness. I'd rather watch dragon ball or the 4gnw than Boruto.

My opinion of Boruto is right in the middle. For starters, a lot of people hate on Boruto because of his personality. They're expecting another Naruto when that simply isn't realistic. Naruto was a child who had nothing, and his personality was a compensation for that in order to get attention. Boruto seeks attention as well, but Boruto is a child who HAS IT ALL from the start. His perspective is a LOT different than Naruto's and it's no fault of his own. My real gripes with this series come later on, but early-series Boruto up through episode 80ish is pretty good, minus the filler. Also keep in mind that the kids in this series are in the academy for dozens of episodes at the start, compared to Naruto where academy was over with by the 2nd episode. The different starting point is going to be something to keep in mind.
Honestly while the show has its flaws between 105 and 151 its really good people hate on it for boruto not being a direct clone of naruto and hate him for calling out naruto when hes in the wrong along with ignoring borutos side of things
Boruto has really solid animation for the most part, better on average than most weekly shows. It's really only the last anime original arc that had production issues. The first 65 episodes in particular are really good, supervised by Hiroyuki Yamashita, the star animator from Shippuden who did stuff like Madara vs the Alliance, Kakashi vs Obito, and Naruto vs Sasuke.
Its pretty average animation honestly, but it spikes up to a 100% during some scenes or episodes randomly which I just love, the fight where we met kawaki for the first time literally felt better than jujitsu in my opinion, then that one scene with naruto's mode, other than that the animation is very average, its not bad compared to some anime but it's not the best either obviously, a good middle ground with random high quiality animation thrown in whenever they can. It's like the one piece animation rn, some scenes it spikes up insanely high but during random talk moments its very basic
Imo boruto kinda 🔥. Yes there are a few moments that are slow but the story overall is pretty good. The manga is good and the anime adaption of tha manga is even better. Just keep in mind boruto is a literal kid instead of starting the show when naruto was pretty much a genin
So up until around episode 50 of Boruto, the timeline is kinda weird in terms of understanding how old Boruto and his classmates are. Essentially, there academy and such follow Naruto & his generation. They don't follow earlier generations since those generations had to deal with the great ninja wars as kids (such as Kakashi's gen with the 3rd war, Minato's gen with the 2nd war). So, like Naruto's gen, all academy students start as the ages of 7-8 and once they are 12 is usually when they become genin and within a year take the chunin exams. So, like I said while it isn't specific, during his academy days just assume his is 8-11, max 12 years old. But here, since it's the first day of the academy, they are all 8 years old. The art & animation does a subtle job of showing that they are a little younger now than when they are genin
I hope you didn't plan to skip fillers that contain wholesome moments. There are definitely LOTS of fillers. Please don't skip the wholesome ones. Cheers! ^^

Fun fact, Boruto and Naruto's father/son relationship is meant to emulate the same father/son relationship between Kishimoto and his sons.
This, Kishimoto revealed that the weekly manga releases really put a strain on his family and friend relationships escpecially with his sons.

a filler is just a bs story of a few episodes that stands on itself and has little to do with the actual story and often doesn't even fit into the timeline and after it's done generally they pretend it never happened.

The great thing about this series is that it develops the new generation much more than the previous one, in addition to the fact that Boruto as the protagonist is one of the best😎👍🏻

I'm all caught up with boruto episodes
15:45 the animation gets kind of inconsistent after a while because it’s releasing a new episode every week. But it’s really nothing to worry about since it doesn’t affect canon episodes and most of the good anime canon has good animation
To bad we probably not getting manga canon until next year

It's also crazy how Boruto can make more shadow clone then most joining at a young age and only being 1/3 Uzumaki I guess having the little Uzumaki blood/chakra is a lot

I started watching Boruto right after i finished Naruto like 1,5 months ago, and i love Boruto. Ofc there are loads of episodes that are fillers but other than that, i love it! Idk why are there so many people who are hating on it.
The fillers is fine honestly naruto had that too, rn though the boruto anime is very very close to the manga hence there is going to be alot of anime filler episodes for months or maybe a whole year idk. Then its people who hate it cause they say boruto is spoiled brat which is stupid, its how you grow a character etc so that argument is stupid. One point I agree with which is also why I also actually dont like Bourto or rate it as "mid" is because there are some stuff which makes literally no sense, in Shippuden everything had a reasoning to be there but in boruto it just exists cause it does which honestly is really annoying
you gotta think, boruto being able to use shadow clones and basically be a high level genin even before entering the ninja academy is the sort of upbringing naruto COULD have recieved from minato and kushina had they survived. boruto doesn't realize that having naruto and hinata as his parents is easily the biggest blessing and privilege he could've possibly had. think about how naruto had ZERO guidance until iruka/kakashi/jiraiya/fukasaku had taken him under their wing.
If you only count the canon ep the series is really good .
The mist arc is decent enough.

I really love Boruto. I know there ARE people that don't like the series but when it comes to Boruto you kind of have to REALLY watch to understand why it's so good. Of course this is all opinion based XP
I read the manga and watch the canon episodes and the canon episodes have great animation. I really like it

0:36 To be, the Boruto anime, I would put it at a 6/10 or 7/10. Not as terrible as some people say in my opinion, but certain anime canon arcs and filler episodes/arcs can be a bit boring. I haven't watched two months worth of the latest Boruto episodes until yesterday since it started losing me again (2nd time now) but now I'm caught back up.
But it does have its interesting and cool moments.
Well it's cool when Naruto and Sasuke were the ones fighting. Even Konohamaru was nerfed and became irrelevant.

The first scene kept us guessing if Naruto will die or not and truth be told we still don't know yet. Its gonna take a while for this anime to get to the awesome parts. The anime gets really awesome when Kawaki shows up.
I swear if you don’t watch the time travel arc I’m going to riot it will bring you to tears you have to see it
About borutos animation:
Most of the time the animation is amazing especially in the manga canon episodes. Only at some moments the animation sucks lately but not during the important episodes. They're probably saving budget for whats Happening in the manga
What the show does have is consistency in that the characters are rarely out of model even in the action scenes. It's not like that infamous Seven Deadly Sins Meliodas meme bad at least.
Yeah, right now studio is packed with Bleach and Black Clover movie, so animation of Boruto downgraded.
@@SoulTaker78 Agreed, especially compared to the original Naruto series which was always off model and only had a sakuga episode once every 12-24 episodes. Boruto almost always has one or two really well animated episodes per arc for the big moments, and sometimes has sakuga cuts sprinkled into random episodes. So even in a relatively minor episode, you might unexpectedly get a really well animated action scene.

I like Boruto as a character a lot of ppl didn't at first but he makes sense.
The most important thing to keep in mind to enjoy Boruto is that the show is called Boruto.
Naruto and his gen are in the story but they take a backseat to this generations characters just like Jiriya, Tsunade and the rest of the adults did in Naruto.
This is not like DBZ where Gohan is a side character and Goku stays the lead this is all about the new gen and their journey.
Personally I love Boruto and the stories it tells but most importantly I just love the new characters and their bonds so I don't mind watching fun episodes that doesn't have world ending stakes or arcs that focus on the characters instead of the manga big bads.
Most of the hate comes from people unable to accept that Naruto and Sasuke isn't the MCs anymore or some people that bring up the same invalid criticisms that was resolved 5 years ago 😆
Or maybe because no one wanted boruto to be a thing, the show is like 75% fillers and all of them are a slog to get through. All of the characters are blatant copies of their parents. And Boruto is only rivaled by romcom mc's in terms of annoyingness. I'd rather watch dragon ball or the 4gnw than Boruto.

My opinion of Boruto is right in the middle. For starters, a lot of people hate on Boruto because of his personality. They're expecting another Naruto when that simply isn't realistic. Naruto was a child who had nothing, and his personality was a compensation for that in order to get attention. Boruto seeks attention as well, but Boruto is a child who HAS IT ALL from the start. His perspective is a LOT different than Naruto's and it's no fault of his own. My real gripes with this series come later on, but early-series Boruto up through episode 80ish is pretty good, minus the filler. Also keep in mind that the kids in this series are in the academy for dozens of episodes at the start, compared to Naruto where academy was over with by the 2nd episode. The different starting point is going to be something to keep in mind.

Honestly while the show has its flaws between 105 and 151 its really good people hate on it for boruto not being a direct clone of naruto and hate him for calling out naruto when hes in the wrong along with ignoring borutos side of things

Boruto has really solid animation for the most part, better on average than most weekly shows. It's really only the last anime original arc that had production issues. The first 65 episodes in particular are really good, supervised by Hiroyuki Yamashita, the star animator from Shippuden who did stuff like Madara vs the Alliance, Kakashi vs Obito, and Naruto vs Sasuke.
Its pretty average animation honestly, but it spikes up to a 100% during some scenes or episodes randomly which I just love, the fight where we met kawaki for the first time literally felt better than jujitsu in my opinion, then that one scene with naruto's mode, other than that the animation is very average, its not bad compared to some anime but it's not the best either obviously, a good middle ground with random high quiality animation thrown in whenever they can. It's like the one piece animation rn, some scenes it spikes up insanely high but during random talk moments its very basic
For me boruto and Naruto series is amazing for my opinion 😊

Imo boruto kinda 🔥. Yes there are a few moments that are slow but the story overall is pretty good. The manga is good and the anime adaption of tha manga is even better. Just keep in mind boruto is a literal kid instead of starting the show when naruto was pretty much a genin

So up until around episode 50 of Boruto, the timeline is kinda weird in terms of understanding how old Boruto and his classmates are. Essentially, there academy and such follow Naruto & his generation. They don't follow earlier generations since those generations had to deal with the great ninja wars as kids (such as Kakashi's gen with the 3rd war, Minato's gen with the 2nd war).
So, like Naruto's gen, all academy students start as the ages of 7-8 and once they are 12 is usually when they become genin and within a year take the chunin exams. So, like I said while it isn't specific, during his academy days just assume his is 8-11, max 12 years old. But here, since it's the first day of the academy, they are all 8 years old. The art & animation does a subtle job of showing that they are a little younger now than when they are genin
