I have the dream sock, for about 2 months now. I enjoy it solely based on those late nights when you’re putting your child to sleep. It allows you to know when the baby is peacefully sleeping in your arms so they’re not tossing and turning in the crib, instead in a deep sleep. Prior I would just assume my daughter was asleep and she would end up waking up after about 10 min
my wife and i bought a smart sock 3 not long after we found out she was pregnant. a week or so later the fda came down on owlet. now approx 9 months later my son is here and we took to owlet smart sock 3 out of the box for the first time and did initial set up. the app notified us that it had to do a update for the app and the sock and that doing so would turn our smart sock 3 into a dream sock and that this was not reversible. added about 20 mins to first time set up and seems to work fine and function just as a dream sock would. the other option was to not update it and just not use it at all.
Great review! You always do such a good job! I’m sad to hear that Dream Lab is going away. I thought they were keeping it but not as a stand alone product. The Dream Lab was amazing for teaching us (first time parents) about sleep training and what small changes we can make to help our 5 mo old sleep better. Our LO went from 5 wake ups down to just one after a couple of nights. So thankful for what the dream lab taught me! Also, I converted my smart sock which was easy. I don’t have the room details in my app like yours (room temp, humidity, sound , etc) but that’s okay because we keep the base in our room instead of the nursery.
Hey there! Are you supposed to leave it on for hours? Or do you remove it every time they wake up and then put it back on once they’re getting sleepy? I left it on since about 11:00pm last night and it still says he’s in a “sleeping session” even though he woke up a few times. It sensed that he was awake but it never broke down the sleep sessions. It’s just one giant 10 hour session.
Thanks, great video! Just used the dream sock for the first time with our newborn. Glad to hear others have the continuous notification experience too. Do you know if notification sensitivity can be adjusted in on the dream sock or was that a feature specific to the old smart socks? I found an article online about that but seems to be only for smart socks. Thanks again!
Hi! How are you? I always find your videos very useful and insightful, thank you for all the valuable content! I have a question, how safe is the Owlet Can from hackers? Is there a way to protect them from other people accessing it? I’ve heard about these cams getting hacked and strangers talking to kids at night. What is your opinion on this? What non WiFi camera would you recommend? What are your thoughts on the HelloBaby non Wi-Fi monitor? Why is infant optics more popular and expensive if they do exactly the same as a HelloBaby? Thanks for the help!
Not going to lie, I wasn’t a fan of the dream sock. I also got a lot of false alarms which was really frustrating and always made me go into the baby’s room and woke him up/upset him even more. I’d go to Miku/Nanit instead for monitoring instead of the foot wearable.
I appreciate this take a lot. Good to hear your experience. I forgot to add that setup was actually rough for me until I realized my VPN threw everything off.
My wife and I are having so much trouble with the video clips. We have the app updated, the notifications on high sensitivity, and the “record a video clip” box checked. Still no video clips. Any advice?
WHO MADE THESE MONITORING SOCKS?!?!? I dont know who designed these monitoring socks or if they even seeked medical advice before making them. The oxygen monitor on these socks DO NOT monitor the baby’s oxygen in real time. Instead, it averages the oxygen level of 10 minutes. Why would you want an average oxygen of 10 mins?!?! It doesnt make sense. You need to know what the oxygen reading is in real time. Not only that, but after it dips down to 80% does it alarm you (80% in real time is not a passing score when it comes to oxygen. Even worse if it is the “average” of 10 minutes. Staying at 90% consistently in a healthy person already raises some questions why it’s not higher) That is not very helpful if you want to know what is going on with your baby right away. 10 minutes can be crucial. Yes, it alarms you right away, but only after it has averaged the oxygen level of what your baby has been doing for 10 minutes.
I did watch it and had experience using it. I just think that they should have looked for medical advice before making/releasing it. It’s almost like a scam.
@@laarnidr9608that’s the point though, it’s a “sleep aid” not a “medical device.” in technicality “medical device” is too much liability, so they also have to steer clear of making features that will be largely utilized for that purpose.
Would haved liked to see video quality comparisons and some more thoughts about why you won't be using this and what you will go with and why. Video quality was very nice as always but it felt a little rushed to me personally. I fully believe that this was not sponsored by them but it felt more like a sponsored presentation video than it did a review, genuinely a big fan of the channel thank you for all the content you make.
Regarding video quality, I think Miku, Nanit and Cubu AI beat it out. Ultimately we'll be sticking with Miku Pro as I'm partial to not needing a wearable.
Also, I wanted to say that I appreciate your constructive feedback. I could see how this felt rushed compared to other videos I've made. I'll use that to improve in the future. (At least I'll try as best as I can)
Your videos are super informative and helped me prepare for being a dad for the first time 6 months ago. Really appreciate your content. Got out carseat stroller and baby monitor picked out thanks to you.
This happened to Me. Do you have fiber internet? I had to go into my router settings and turn off 5g. After that I factory reset the base and connected to the internet.
We've just used Nanit for three years and wanted to make a switch. Also didn't want to pay for the Insights subscription anymore. Miku has developed into a great monitor.
I googled how to adjust sensitivity on alarms through the app and it says Settings > Alarm > Alarm Preferences. I can’t even find the Settings on my app lol….can someone help?
I used miku, but it 's not accurate. Then I switch to owlet for my first baby, and the next baby we used sense-u. After using for four months, I think sense-u is more accurate and timely than miku and owlet. Hope it helps you.
So with the dream sock, if the oxygen or heart rate start to decrease or have a “blip” the base will alarm instantly rather than wait the 10min to create a trend?
Don’t buy it. It’s trash and owlet does not really help with issues. The camera is laggy and mine is struggling establishing a good connection even though I set up a dedicated Network with a dedicated AP that is literally 3 feet away from the camera. Buy the eufy one, that works as it should

So how do I know If I have a good sock or a bad sock. What sock is the best?

I'll take that!
It’s uncanny

Does the lavender notification also have a sound/alarm?
Yes it does.
Please do a review on the masimo stork!
Can i review the footage from the whole day .. appears to only be live footage

Is it a "rolling" 10 mins ? ..cause if it's a rolling 10 mins then that's pretty good

do your own review then?
I cannot get live updates for this sock through the app no matter what I do. Which is extremely upsetting

Me. Do you have fiber internet? I had to go into my router settings and turn off 5g. After that I factory reset the base and connected to the internet.
FDA is stupid...and that's why Owlet had to modify the good sock...
Why’d you decide to go with the Miku Pro for baby number 3 instead of the Nanit Pro? Trying to decide between them…
We've just used Nanit for three years and wanted to make a switch. Also didn't want to pay for the Insights subscription anymore. Miku has developed into a great monitor.
Both are absolutely terrible products that increase anxiety of parents. Don't bother
has anyone used this along with the snoo? i'm curious if the movement of the snoo would affect it somehow
I am aware of quite a few parents who have used Owlet with Snoo and it's paired well
I googled how to adjust sensitivity on alarms through the app and it says Settings > Alarm > Alarm Preferences. I can’t even find the Settings on my app lol….can someone help?

I too am wanting a clarification on this.
@@kolrudk3 waits 10m. Your child may be dead before you get to it. It's a scam, get the smart sock
