That's great Cheers Nice one I really appreciate it I owe you ( one) Good to hear That'll make my day Music to my ear Just what I wanted to hear Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don't know what means to me. You saved my skin/ day/ bacon.
It is very informal. More suitable with friends and close associates. Thank you is more formal. Applies to business associates. Great, I really appreciate it. This is applicable in general and depends who you are referring to. I am not English, but this is my opinion. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
Good to learn these words, Harry! But it appears to me that in almost all instances you have mentioned we can still add the word "thank you" anyway. I think 'thank you' is universal and nice.
Hi Amin, this is the first video I have just watch from you. Nice and informative. To tell the truth, I don't remember the situation I said you are welcome. But somewhere deep in my mind is this phrase: It is/was only a trifle. Can I use it? Is it correct?
Alternatives to say 'Thank You' 1. That's great 2. Cheers 3. Nice one 4. I really appreciate it 5. I owe 6. Good to hear 7. That’ll make my day 8. Music to my ears 9.Just what I wanted to hear 10. Originating from a non-English speaking world, learning to say Thank You, is sufficient for me. English a difficult language to learn. I hear some people are just saying “unhung” do not know how to spell it.
It's music to my ears honored Mentor Harry for your wisdom on I get it..on lessons from kids as It's important to clean the dishes away after the meal! Is so significant that it rings to my ears every after dining. At the end of the day, what matters most is the life you've touched...More Power Mentor Harry!
Hi there! Curiosity bit me when you said "you saved my bacon". I started thinking that what would be its origin. So, I have googled and it seems that comes from the 17th Century. As most of the sayings, there are versions about its origing for every taste. It could be the body or our life, or a thief's slang that meant "escape", or might be simply cure pork meat. At that time , it was considerated a treasure. So, Harry... I owed you one! 😉
"Thank You" is always the Best expression of Gratitude especially when said with sincerity 😉
