I love, love love this virtual run. I do it repeatedly. I get so inspired by all the runners and even feel like I am running with them. How is that even possible, so funny, given I am on a bike in the middle of an Australian summer. Thank you for this video.
Hi Mandy, Thank you very much. I wanted to do the run for 5 years; now it fit with the agenda. It was very cold (minus 12 degrees Celsius) but still beautiful. Greetings Andi😁🇨🇭
I thought that Switzerland's ski resorts were suffering a lack of snow this year, but this doesn't seem to be the case here. Great run, in an operating ski resort, no doubt! wow
The ski resorts really had too little snow and it was especially much too warm. A week before the run it got colder and the snow came. Then there was too much snow for the run up the Weisshorn 2653 meters above sea level. So all the runs were not done higher than the middle station (2000 meters). Anyway, it was a super special and beautiful run at minus 12 degrees Celsius. I hope next year I will see only blue sky up there. Greetings Andi🙂🇨🇭
Arosa is also worth a trip in summer! And for summer runners there is the arosa-trailrun.ch. I did there the beautiful 54 kilometer trail, with 3500 meters up and down. For trail beginners there is the more humane 15 K Tail... Where are you from?
@@SwissRunningTV Even longer than the Sierre Zinal trail you filmed! The 15k one probably suits me better. I'm a Kiwi, based in Japan. Keep up the great runs!
I had normal trail shoes and snow chains underneath. The chains out of caution, as I didn't know the route yet. But it would have been fine without chains. It was only icy in a few places. Greetings Andi 🙂🇨🇭
Natürlich gehen auch normale Trailschuhe. Ich habe keine Goretex und brauche auch keine Andere. Und nach ein paar Kilometer sind die Goretex nicht mehr dicht und wenn warmes Wetter zu stickig. Lg Andi

@@SwissRunningTV It's just as well the snow came at the right time! Would love to visit this place someday, whether to ski or run (or both!)

Walking in snow wasn't hard enough?
The snow was hard enough not to sink in.
