its good we're discussing the bane neo-liberalism has become on our country and the world. Corporations should not be siphoning all our country's money. Our duty is as citizens to the country, not as consumers to the newest shill
If only Joseph Stiglitz talked about the fundamental economic problem with the private ownership of land and natural resources without the public capture of its economic rent. He has written in support of this change in public policy.
It would be great to have a host that wasn't such a nineties broken record. Seriously, still whingeing about 'neo-liberalism'? The herd nature of 'the left' is cringeworthy. C'mon people, stand up and think for yourselves. You've got so, so much more to give.
What is your understanding of neo-liberal economics and why do you think that it is not worthy of discussion in this day and age? Why do you feel that the only thing that draws people to a discussion about an economic theory that has dominated political decision making since the 80's is a herd mentality. I think that on the contrary, it is the herd mentality that leads to the right not engaging more in critical discussions of neoliberalism. They seem to be more consumed by obsessing over trans-athletes (in a totally non-cultish way of course).

It's unfortunate to see his potent arguments mired in clumsy mis-readings of the past and present.
Perhaps because neo-liberalism has been the dominant approach to organising our economy since the 80s and is worth examining? How about you give your reasons why you disagree with Stiglitz
