- The Talk host Sharon Osbourne joins Piers Morgan to react to the unanimous verdict given by the jury that Amber Heard did defame Johnny Depp and must now pay $15 million to him. Sharon says Amber lied under oath in her trial and that "she knows the game". She also believes that Johnny Depp's career is now revived and that all the big film studios will be after him after not only winning the case but winning the court of public opinion. Sharon also believes with all the details that came out during the case such as lying about donating money to charity, that big movie companies will not want to go near her and she cannot see a comeback for her.

As a woman I personally disagree with Amber saying the verdict was a setback to women. The setback to women came when Amber planted and tampered evidence and lied her way through everything. She is absolutely not an advocate for victims of sexual or domestic violence.

That's the part I found fascinating.... I related to some aspects from a relationship I was in with a gas lighting narcissist who would never let me walk away from an argument and others who have been in far more abusive relationships than I ever was, all related to JD and of all the people commenting their support not one of them said they related to her because her story was like theirs...

God I hate when people say that they both “abused each other”. Such a bad message. Often in abusive relationships there is an abuser and a victim. The victim can at some point react not do favorably but that doesn’t make them abusive. There is zero evidence that Johnny abused Amber. So many people are just assuming he did because he did drugs.
I agree. Even though I may not personally know Johnny, from what I can tell of every single thing I've seen/heard about him, says he is a honest, genuine, and very kind soul.

I agree with this. At least all the audio points to Heard only being the abuser. Beyond that we will never know. But if he didn’t know cameras were rolling then I doubt his demeanor would have changed in my opinion. I don't agree that people were just on Johnnie's side because they 'like' him. People were on his side because Amber Heard lied continually throughout the whole trail and it was proved, with evidence, that she's a liar. People also listened to her ranting abuse and confessions of hitting him and calling him a baby because he complained about her hitting him. I don't understand why Amber and others would say that the "Me too" movement is negatively effected by this as Johnnie was forced to have to come forward about the physical abuse he suffered from Amber, no matter how embarrassing and humiliated he felt about revealing intimate details of his relationship and life. So many men have come forward since Johnnie did this, to admit that they have been or are being abused and it's giving them the strength to try and stop it. I don’t think Sharon watched the trial, it doesn’t sound like she saw Amber or heard Amber. I know Sharon had a hard time, but we heard JD in the tapes when he was drunk and high, and he never wanted to fight he wanted to leave. The trial in the UK was full neglect and bias. Judges son worked for Dan Wooton, Amber was pampered and jD was ignored and humiliated. Watch some of Ambers testimony. It’s unbelievable. She went on shaking her fist back and forth and no words. Describing Abuse.

There is audio evidence, hours of it, that show she was the abuser. The Australia audio catches her admitting to hurting Johnny but that it was an "accident". THey couldnt show it in court because of the other people talking in it. She has a history of abuse, being caught by a policewoman hitting her ex-wife....can go on.

I agree with you. I am sick of this narrative as well. SHE was the abuser clearly and anything he did was reactionary. If the shoe were on the other foot and JD was the woman, no one would be calling him the abuser too. It’s a dangerous narrative because it keeps people in abusive relationships for longer thinking that THEY are the reason for their abuse and if they were not there this person wouldn’t be abusive. That’s not the reality. JD will go on to have healthy relationships with others as he’s done in the past and Amber will go on to abuse others as she’s done in the past. I'd followed a lot of this case via a number of different UA-camrs reactions: lawyers, body language experts (one was a former FBI on the US Channel Law&Crime network ), a British legal psychologist, and British domestic violence relationship professional. All, have found Amber Heard far from credible. She was acting, without knowledge of the human baseline. In other words, her body language did not work with her claims. She did not present as a very insecure victim of DV would: shy, vulnerable, afraid to look at the jury or her abuser. She sobbed without one tear, and her body language flipped from upset to poker face in an instant. Like an actor having to re-do their lines. Not a natural flow of emotion. She set Depp up with TMZ, and her stories got more incredible and contradictory. She got caught slipping up. At one point, admitting to writing the op-ed about JD... Major oops moment. Oh and she also amputated his finger. But that's OK because he is a man 😱. In the UK the media, unlike the US, seem to be a surprised that a' wife beater' has won his trial against an abusive woman! Because only Men abuse women right? If he cut her finger off would that be a different matter! Women can also be perpetrators of DV against men GF's and children. Starr Hobson anyone? A lot of men feel that they have to suffer in silence. I've been there. Far too many women play the victim and can be horrific people too.

I watched an older video of him visiting children in a hospital in Australia. It was filmed right after she cut the end of his finger off. One of the children asked him about his bandage and he told her it was an old “pirate injury”. He’s so awesome dressing as Captain Jack and visiting these hospitals ❤️

Every single piece of evidence illustrated that he was possibly abusive to himself, not to her. There were so many recordings of the two of them, both audio and visual, showing him literally leaving every time there was an argument that was starting to spiral. Not a single witness (minus her sister, whose testimony has been called into serious question) could say they saw him get physical with her. She admits on multiple recordings that she gets violent. So no, I don't think they were both abusers here, and frankly I'm really tired of people saying that's the case.

From what I have seen over the years of talk shows.....there is a transition where, when they start, they are silent and listen to everyone during an interview....but over time they talk over their guests and stop listening. when they stop listening to their guests and instead interject their own thought, they are no longer interested in the interview and I think they should find a new job.

AH is a liar. I watched/listened to 99% of this trial. Camille Vasquez helped JD show what a liar AH is through cross examination. JD isn't a perfect person by any means but HE is NOT an abuser. I think people are forgetting that while Depp may have done things, imagine how an abused animal reacts when it's placed in a corner. One of two things will happen, it'll crawl up into a ball or it will lash out. Depp was that cornered animal and while I don't condone all of that which he did, it is completely understandable why he did it. If the roles were reversed, you wouldn't, for a single second, hold Heard accountabe for her actions cause you'd say, "she was a victim acting out of instinct to her environment". And that's exactly what happened for Depp, he was a victim acting out of instinct to his environment. He was verbally and physically abused well past the point of brokenness. What Heard did was vile and she deserves every ounce of justice that is coming her way.

I took a right cross to the jaw from my ex without rings on. It knocked a tooth out. Shattered it. I required medical attention but still lied for his ass for years. The thing that struck me in this trial was Johnny's entire childhood of abuse was laid out for the world to see. His addictions are directly related to the pain of that abuse in his youth and he has not dealt with that road yet. When he does, he can overcome the addictions, understand his trigger points, and finally find some true peace and happiness in his life that he has denied himself all of his adult life. He has some life work to do and has hidden from it and is now in his 50's. He will die from overdose if he does not choose life and resolve. Addicts take drugs for a false sense of feeling normal when it is not normal at all. He does not know normal and true joy, and peace. It is something we all want for him because he is indeed a good soul and worth having happiness in his life. My hope is he will take time to work on himself and not get entangled with any women for a long while. Just work on him. Godspeed Johnny. As for Amber, she used him horribly in every way including as a physical and emotional punching bag. She needs her own help but no one wants to hear from her again.

Johnny wanted to settle everything privately, but Amber wanted the publicity and thought as a woman that she would win, but anyone who watched the trial saw that she was a liar. She may have not gotten what she wanted, but she certainly got what she deserved.

She feels bad for her but she understands that she has to be held accountable. She did want Johnny to win and she likes him as a person. OZZY did horrendous things to her over the course of her marriage and I think she is a little biased when it comes to this for that reason, but she seems to adore Johnny. She is entitled to her own opinion. For the record, I am a full-on JD supporter and AH makes me sick.
