This reminds me of being a kid and fixing flats on my bicycle. Of course, there are a lot easier. I remember being 8 or 9. Dad taught me by doing it by myself. We lived in the country and worked in the family nursery. Which meant a lot of flats. My Dad had pity on me when he saw my bike tubes were mostly patches.
Asked for help fixing drum brakes on my first car. He told me to leave one side together while fixing the other side. Boy, do I miss him.

Don't forget to Balance the Tire, I have a Motorcycle Tire Balancer because the Tires/Wheels are usually out of Balance and will need stick on weights...

The big loss to me was replacing the tires I put on my motorcycle 30 years ago. Scotty dies and comes back more time than the want for I can't believe it's not butter.
Dang. You got me again, and for the last time. What was the "major loss"? What was the "RIP" for? You are becoming the boy-who-cried-wolf, and I won't fall for it again.
This guy might know cars, but he completely messed up that front tire change. That is a spoked rim so it has an inner tube that should be changed especially if that tire was 10 years old. He didn't center up the axle. After you mount the tire on the front you have to put the hardware on hand tight set the bike down and push it forward a few feet and apply the front brake. Then do a final torque on the axle bolt.
NEVER use tire irons on an aluminum rim ... UGH!

I'm a former Honda factory trained technician and I won't change motorcycle tires by hand . To put it politely Scotty sure is "frugal" .

Scotty did you seriously complain about the expense of changing one $75 motor cycle tire? It lasted you 12 years. Even if you were charged $50 to install. That's $10.25 per year. Not an expense to avoid

Tyre change shops don't charge much to install tyres. It's not worth doing it yourself.
Last night he was touch and go in the ICU and today he’s ripping rubber off bike rims.

Back tyre is much more fiddly and it's easy to turn a one hour job into a half a day job cos folk might remove the chain from the cog and remove the brake shoe plate too , it's not necessary . Digging a small pit under the rear tyre to give room helps too .
The major loss(es) was/were the tire itself and the money Scotty spe t on the tire! 😂😂😂😂

In the U.K. we don’t use tools we just jump on the tyre to break the beads so easy to do. Local farmers just use a spade.
Scotty can fix anything. The dude is a machine.

We use to sell Triumph , we couldn’t sell it fast enough and inventory just kept coming. Other dealers around SoCal usually sell them cheap. If you don’t work on motorcycles I advise just to go to a dealer or independent shop and get it done by a professional . It’s your life in the line , otherwise Scotty will make a RIP vid about you 😂

Scotty can’t get burial insurance anymore. Too many companies went out of business.
I changed a 13" trailer tire once. Quite an effort. I used a car jack w/ base on the tire to break the bead, as shown in the Owner's Manual for my 1965 Chrysler (driver's did that then?). The trick to working the bead over the rim and on again is to push the far side down so it is the valley of the wheel. That gives a squidge more room to just slide the bead off without stretching it. I expect motorcycle tires don't last long since they ride on just a thin strip in the center. Sold mine at 10K miles so never had to buy a tire, and glad to switch to a sedan. Bet a front blow-out in a motorcycle is exciting.

Another thing about motorcycle tires. Make sure you check and see that the new tire’s rim line indicator line runs parallel to the rim on both sides as you inflate the tire. This sometimes takes extra pressure to pop it into place or deflating to move the tire side to side. If this is not right the tire will lope in the turns.

Interesting but who the hell wants to do this. Let a shop do it. I was an airline mechanic for over 30 years. Worked on my cars until some things were easier done by shops. Scotty is too cheap sometimes. That’s why he’s rich.

There is a red dot on tires that designates that heaviest side on tire ...it goes on opposite side of the valve stem
