27:00 to 28:40 This scene is so beautifully elaborated! Big praise to the authors and producers of this series for giving the characters time and opportunities to develop!
very well done ! As Frenchmen I feel a lot of gratitude to all fighters and civilians of the Great Patriotic War. It is difficult for the new generations to understand how were the people of that time, our fathers. Therefore, this serie has a great value as it let us become, like brothers, sisters, fathers and sons of those we owe so much debt. May friendship prevail in Europe. Long life to Russia. Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah !
Great series and well acted. Russian actors in general are always good and the script well written. This is my third Russian series in one month and super enjoyable. you should check out "The Dawn is Always quiet here".
The old or the never version? Great movie, i read the book when i was a kid. The one part i don't like in the new movie is when the old postman run into the paratroopers, and later the girls find him with his throat cut. This scene is not in the book, in the original, one of the girls, i think Rita is away without leave one night, and in the foggy dawn, she is sneaking back to the barracks, and she sees a man on the road. She is hiding in a bush, near the road, where 2 germans are passing by so close she could touch them. When they gone, she runs back to the barracks, alerting the sergeant, reporting she saw 2 germans. So the sergeant organize his team of 5 soldiers to capture them, but as they find out there were not only 2, but 16 of them.. I think it was much more thrilling than in the new movie, but great movie
@5:00 ☆ "When the War Ends..." I heard a lady in the Bank ask "when will this end?" (CV19) I spoke out of turn to say "It's Up to Us." It really is. What we do, how we care.
it is incredible that the ME 109 didn't at least put holes in the Yak when it overflew the ME109 during the climb. By this stage of the war it should be early 1942 . The ME109E looks very out of place on the frontline. Still at least the ME109 does look exactly like an ME109 unlike the Battle of Britain movie where the "ME109" looks more like a souped up airshow racer.
Point Spook Lots of screw ups. It's summer 1943 and they fly Yak 9. But Ne109 shown as E mode that was gone by the time. And as for air combats - not better not worth than I shall in movies. Not accurate at all.
Yet this Bf 109 from rear view cockpit perspective looks nothing like a whatever version of 109 that was produced (14:20 scene). It is not even close. Bf 109 E version shown in this tv series should have rear cockpit view like that: ua-cam.com/video/uXf91ccCE5o/v-deo.html (when head protection armored plate has been removed). But as you mentioned those 109 Es are out of place because even at the beginning of the german-russian war on June 1941, there were mostly Bf 109 F versions already (only 1/3 were old E versions). At the time of depicted events (summer 1943) there were almost exclusively Bf 109 G versions - far, far superior fighters to E versions in terms of engine power and armament. Matching Yak-9s vs 109Es is very incorrect historically speaking. But to give them credit, the external views of 109s are realy nice done and visual quality of flight and dogfight scenes is on par and sometimes even better than many much higher budget movies that also used CGI effects. In general good work and pleasant to watch! We have too few combat aviation related movies so I'm glad they did this tv series.
I am in love with these series especially when the guys are after the beautiful ladies, when one man tried to rape the girl with black hair and another guy came to her rescue and russian language is so romantic just like italian and french. Good job to all the actors.
Yeah, those ladies are beautyful, maybe the most beautyful is Bordeaux's girlfriend(the girl in blue dress, living in the wooden hut) but my favourite is Lyda, the captain
Well, i hope some russian guy will explain it. It looks like to me that he is talking about an other engine stop, which happened in flight i think? The exhaust gases from the shell explosion choked the engine, but he managed to start it again. But what i saw the engine did not start on the ground, and he could not start it at all, so he stayed on ground. They said someone put sand in the fuel tank
Good show- too slow for me thou, could b just 6, not 12 n... something I would not believe happened, like getting out of capture??... KGB will never let any1 to "fly" ever again- that would b " shtrufbut" , Gulag or ... death!
Personally i hate shows that end after 6 episodes, its like they just get started and then bang its all over. The greatest series were those that had 20+ episodes per series.
I don't understand ...women talk to eachother and all of them would by now know about that dirty rapist ( the bald bloke) trying to assault the girl with the long black hair , none of them would go anywhere near him and in real life he would have been put in the Guardhouse at the very least and demoted before one of their Tribunals . This is not real unless this is somehow acceptable in Russia , I doubt it though.
It's not acceptable anywhere. You have to understand the Soviet culture though. You were brought up with the idea that you and your neighbours are "the people" hence you were expected to solve all of your problems one-on-one. If your neighbour next door made a lot of noise and disturbed you, - you would attempt to talk to him rather than notify authorities. Fights between kids were rarely broken up unlike in USA and Canada where where they lay criminal assault charges when someone gets into a fist fight at school. "Snitching" was generally looked down upon, notifying authorities was done only in extreme circumstances, when public safety became an issue. Another part of it is that even in the West many women would feel uncomfortable reporting a sexual assault or an attempted rape and this is especially true in patriarchal cultures, such as what USSR undoubtedly was.

From USA, excellent show. Good to see the stories from Russia.
This series continues to give reasons to reflect since it has the means to provoke deeper thought. A sure indication of quality. Thank you.
wow I wouldn't have gone that far, but...yeah I totally love ALL of these and I've almost watched em all! Miniseries
C'est très bien joué, un vrai plaisir...
You like Bordeaux? The French Soviet Russian?

Thank you Star...
The end is a little bit sad, but a good series, nice music ❤
I like this series. How did this do in Russia, was it popular? Nicely done, probably with no budget either. Good entertainment!
I have no real idea BUT I have a strong suspicion that it was very popular in Russia
A reference to the Night Witches who flew bombing missions at night in PO-2 crop duster biplanes. Cool.

Ci sentiamo dopo.

There is supposed to be a twelfth episode somebody has not uploaded it unfortunately.
Is 9 episode
Did the explanation of why the plane's engine stopped then started again make more sense in Russian than it did in the English subtitles?
