"Oh que je' taime, Oh mon ami". This were the words written by Tchaikovsky on the original score for the horn solo of this movement. Very deep, quite sincere in his pain, a kind of past memory. A kind of " I wish you would be here". A very intense melody, incredible well expressed. Once again.. Tchaikovsky said with music what others composers never could.
I love his music so much. In all his music you hear the pain that he could not love a man, to be free of showing he is gay. Hé did it by his music. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Bernard Haitink ,world famous dutch conductor, gives a performance here with intensity and maintaining the fine voices ,only few can.Still active and praised at around 90 of age.
Indescribably beautiful. One of the finest musical creations in history.
