    Watching you dump the drills directly on a dryer sheet and use it as a funnel is such a eureka moment. 😂

    Howdy, sorry you are feeling sick. You certainly have had a time of it lately. That ear infection sounded awful. How fun to do the concert with your kids and drive the same route as a "get to" and not a "have to." We will implement your music game on our next trip. I'm going to say YAY to road trips, although my anxiety has shown up when in the car the last few years, so it makes it more stressful. I'm refusing to let it stop me. I've done Virgina Beach to Sacramento twice. I've done Dallas to Yuma. I've done Sacramento to Bakersfield as well as San Diego and to Dallas. Now that we live in Newport, OR. we've done quite a few to Seattle, as well as to Sacramento. I'm not sure what length constitutes a road trip? I've done dozens and dozens less than 4 hours. Thanks for your kit and chat. I enjoy them greatly. Feel better.

      Wow, you've been all over! I'm glad you're not letting your anxiety stop you - I can relate. I have to put mine in its place a lot too, lol.

    Yes, I enjoy road trips! As part of our honeymoon, we rented a car in New Zealand. It was a lot of driving, but a fun way to see so much of the country and take in some great views from the car.

    Hope you’re feeling better! Fun video, I also first discovered diamond painting on UA-cam from Baylee Jae’s channel. I wonder if you could speak to your process from creating the art to it coming out as a diamond painting. I really love “a day journey” I would love to hear how long things take and what the process is? Thanks for all you do for this community. Edited to add: yay on road trips! I’ve had many fun ones, but my most memorable was in 1977 when my dad and I moved from California to Canada. My mom stayed behind to sell the house, and it was just my dad and I heading east. The funny thing was I got freckles on only one side of my face Because of the direction we were going and that I was always in the passenger seat in the sun, lol ! ❤ from 🇨🇦

      Hi Susan! A Day's Journey went through the same steps as other artists' work, in that I submitted it to our licensing team member and she put it into a poll for the VIP group to vote on. Once it made it through voting (thanks to everyone who voted!), it went into the design queue. It took about 6 months to be released. That number can vary a bit, but that's pretty typical!

    I love trips in general. When I was little we did both road trips and flying trips. My dad was a pilot and that came in handy for a lot of our trips. But, we also would do a lot of road trips if they were about a 10hr trip or less. I think my favorite trip was in 2022 when I took my kids from AR to Utah and made a plan to stop at a lot of places I had never been. From Dodge to Roswell. From the Grand Canyon to a bunch of Utah locations I'd never been to. Stressfull as a single parent, but I loved the memories I got to create with my kids

      Oh how cool that your dad was a pilot! My dad got pretty far in his lessons and did solo flights, but never officially got his pilot's license for some reason. That road trip with your kids sounds so fun! I know they will treasure those memories.

    Yay! I absolutely love road trips. I’m going to Utah then Arizona in July. I love to see sites and stop and take my time. Love my husband but he does not. So this time, even though it will be hard with kids without him, I’m excited to take it slow and see all the sites along the way.
    Also, so glad you did the tag too! I love seeing others answers. I’m the same way with release paper! And washi tape is messy too. I just don’t section the whole thing. Just a few squares at a time and then I don’t deal with the rolling up as much. I’m also a huge fan of the perforated cover

    • @DPandDP
      @DPandDP  Місяць тому

      Oh wow, that will definitely be brave of you to do long road trips alone with little ones! I hope they love road trips too. :) I remember having to drive the older ones to their dad when my youngest was a little baby and he did NOT like the car. There were a lot of tears from him AND me, lol.
      Sectioning off a few squares at a time is a good solution, for sure!

    I'm definitely a nay on road trips. I will take them, but I prefer to fly. I had a similar situation to your kids in that my parents also lived a long distance away. My dad moved to CT and where I am in NY it's a 6 hour drive. So every school vacation I would be in the car 6 hours there and 6 back. The worst part about that was we always traveled on Christmas Day. One year there was a nasty snow storm and the trip took us 12 hours. It was a nightmare.

    • @DPandDP
      @DPandDP  Місяць тому

      Wow, I'm sorry - that must have been a lot to deal with! I worried my kids would end up resenting the choice we made to do so much traveling, but they tell me that while it was hard sometimes, they were glad they got to see their dad so much.

    Been diamond painting for over a year and didn’t ever see anyone pour the diamonds out on a dryer sheet! Good idea! I’ve always just taken a piece and wiped it inside the bag and then put a piece in the EW container. But it would still be staticy. I’m gonna try your way the next time I kit up. Also love your voice and what you’ve been talking about! New viewer and subscribed. 😊

    I love the perforated covers and I think DAC should sell them in 10 packs of the latest canvas size they offer so as we get to doing our older kits, we can then change the cover papers to the updated ones should we desire to do that. I would

    I am actually not sure if it is yay or nay for road trips. It is nice to travel by car (as a driver or a passenger), especially with good company (and sometimes even alone), but I prefer train because there I can relax and maybe read a book or play games with my phone. Today I am actually going to travel by train, I will visit my mum for a few days.
    By the way, yesterday I finished the last book of the Realms of the Elderlings series. It feels so strange to leave all those characters behind. I did miss Liveship Traders trilogy and Rain Wild Chronicles though because they are not translated to Finnish.
    Next I will read a historical novel by Finnish author Paula Havaste. I have read some of her historical novels earlier and I have really liked them 😊

      I wish we had a better train infrastructure here! I'd love to travel by train more often. It sounds super relaxing, haha. Oh my gosh, I need to continue that series! The first book was so well-written. Aw man, it sucks that the other books don't have translations though!

    Never feel pressured to do a video, I sometimes don't feel like doing a WipandChat, most times I end up doing it but once I didn't and it felt great to go with my gut and not forcing myself, my train of thought is, I do this because I enjoy it...
    Oh you kit up using the dryer sheets like I do... and then saw you mentioned it hehe, I hope this method helped you!, it was a game changer for meg
    Thanks for tagging me, I actually did this tag 5 months ago and I don't think enough things have changed for me to do an update yet : ua-cam.com/video/Kg7qMk4qwLA/v-deo.html
    But I loved listening to all your answers
    I would say yay, but depending on the situation. I used to go visit some family around 7 hours away from where I lived and it was so much fun, bus as I grew and I couldn't make the backseat my playground and I had to start sharing with my sisters the space, it just became uncomfortable, and sitting down with limited options to do is not my thing, and I get car sickness to read or try doing anything crafty, HOWEVER I don't complain at all when I have to travel oversees in a 12+ hour flight!
