Ali Jr on the other hand didn't really have to struggle like his father did. He had skill but he didn't grow up the same as his father because his family had already become very wealthy, and the civil rights movement and anti-war movement that defined his father's convictions were already over. Ali sr came from a family directly descended from slaves, in a low income community, and was really forced to fight for his life from the very beginning. Remember that Ali grew up during a time when Lynching was still fairly common.
