You know what the Upside-down set makes me think of? Does anyone remember that "Wizards of Waverly Place" episode where Alex wanted to paint that mural design with the city up top and the sewer at the bottom, but everyone was walking over her? That
I love a lot of the set designs featured in this video. 😁 The way you got upset during the honorable mentions part was so relatable. 😅😂 Also, the painting featured in the Haunted House is a great homage to Lego Adventurers. Featuring the big bad of the series as well as the mummy. 😁
I had two of them: the one with the Werewolf and the one with the Crazy Scientist and his Monster. Edit: I just remembered that I also had a third set: the one with the Swamp Creature.
18:41 Hey strider! just wanted to point out, because its an easy mistake to make. "Macabre" is actually pronounced like "Muh-Cobb". like corn-on-the-cob. you probably wont see this, but hey, if you do, love the vids!
I only recently discovered the Lego Hidden Side sets through your vids and I absolutely adore the theme, it's really disappointing that it didn't take off cause I'd have loved to see them build on the haunted town theme more
That being said, I strongly disagree with the ghost hoods being problematic, personally I just don't see that connection and think the sheet ghost design looks cute
Hello, Phantomstrider! My name is Ian Rodgers, and I live in Round Hill, Virginia! I subscribed to your channel once. And, I have a suggestion for another video that you should do next time. You should make another video about Harry Potter!
I can call a face ugly, I can call CGI ugly, and I can call costumes ugly. But I can't call them scary. I had the Vampyre Crypt Studio as a kid. It was also among the many LEGO sets, to my regret, I took for granted. I wouldn't call anything else on this list creepy or scary, but I see the artistic value. I like your skits, too. Though it sounds otherwise, Nin's cameo ends the video with a bang.
Monster Fighters could've been a huge hit, and perfect for older kids. But on the other hand, we also have a limited-time only 2011 ghost set reviewed by Just2Good(Warning: the end of the video includes a jumpscare).
It's a common misconception regarding Frankenstein. First you think that Frankenstein is the monster. Then you learn Frankenstein is the doctor. Then you realize Frankenstein *is* the monster.
Hey strider, since you’ve mentioned the FNAF games a few times in your videos, I’d be interested in you doing a video on the best FNAF fan games. I know you talked about one in your SpongeBob horror games video, and the community could use some positivity in light of recent events.
ah, talk about a blast from my past. I loved the monster fighter series and actually have the vampire's hearse. almost every set was beautifully gothic and soaking in every classic horror trope and monster that makes my vampire loving heart flutter. I was always sad that the series was short lived and that I was never able to get the castle. Also, while the movie itself may not be scary (though one of my personal favorites) it can't be denied that nightmare before christmas is dripping in horror aesthetic which the lego set captured masterfully.
RIGHT?! I don't know where the heck this dude's head was at when he compared them to freaking KKK hoods. That's about as asinine as you get there, and this was the same dude that went on a tirade about a company's slogan of Life's Good!🤦🏾♂️
Strider: All of these builds are particularly unsettling given the atmosphere that they all create with their exterior designs, interior decorations, and facial expressions on all of the mini figures. Everyone else: BIG BUG EYE ANIMALS AND DARK CHRISTMAS MOVIE SCARY.
the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean cannibal island set is really creepy too, considering the cages weren't built until after they got there in the movie
I am a big fan of the Lego Stranger Things set. I also built Castle Byars to go with it. Mike's basement might be next. Wish Lego kept the license for more of this series.
Collectable Series 14 is directly responsible for my AFoL status. Having missed out on Monster Hunters and Studio, I was thrilled when Hidden Side came out, and saddened when it was killed. I love the Haunted House and the ties to the older Adventurers theme. Thank you for another great video.
1 of my favorite sets that gives off an unsettling vibe would have to be the Bionicle 2003 Makuta (or Makuta Taridax if you wanna be a bit more specific:~) there’s just something about it that gives me an uneasy vibe whenever you look at him, like I’d imagine you probably wouldn’t want to be anywhere near this guy if you ever encountered him on Mata Nui:
I have always loved the depth of expression the lego ghost retains with such a simple face design, and being a fan since the 90s and living in the deep south I can honestly say I've never made an association between the clan and that brick, I 100% think that's a you thing
With the “Vampire Castle” set, when I was a kid, I assumed didn’t put two and two together on why the skeleton was hanging there. So I just assumed that he was like a evil undead skeleton and that he was in “monster-jail” or something. Either way, he and all the other monsters would end up promptly vanquished by my Boba Fett.
You forgot to mention that Monster fighters castle set contains almost all moonstones, which Dracula would use with his machine to make the eternal night.
10:03 correction, its Sprite your face productions that made the movie, it was commisioned by the LEGO group in 2002, the person who you credited just reuploaded the video.
The Haunted House set is actually the final set from the LEGO Adventurers line. The portrait of the series villain, Sam Sinister, indicates that this was his house.
I have 1 original monster fighter set still in the box, and I am not sure if I will open it since it is the oldest set I have sealed at over 10 years old.
I believe those covered ghosts are supposed to be based on a sheet ghost that is iconic for Halloween, but I get what you mean. I really hope Lego comes up with a new spooky themed Lego set in my price range, I really enjoy them, and I don't mean Harry Potter.
These were some pretty cool sets! The ghost train has to be my favorite of the bunch. Lol, had no idea that there was a LEGO Stranger Things now. Also, have you seen Puss in Boots:The Last Wish? I hear that it’s pretty good.
have to remember that lego is from denmark. where gore filmd still are pg 13 films. I actually think they're tame. comparede too some of the kenner figures from the 80.s
The only scary thing about Lego nowadays are it's prices
Hard to argue with that!
OOOOOooHHH! 79.99!
Heyoooooooo!
For real
Fr tho
Disturbing isn't always a bad thing.
Sometimes its the intensity and fear that truly makes us feel alive.
Disturbing makes me feel alive
@@JustaHedgehoginSonicBoom me too
And it builds character.
That is scary.

One set that could have been included was Krika from Lego Bionicle. The man is a skeletal bug monster with his body fluids visible through his limbs.
I've recently begun investing in Lego kits and your videos on the subject have given me some great kits to look into. Thanks!
Lol, thanks for letting me cameo!!! 😄
You're always a welcome surprise on the channel 😃
I love a lot of the set designs featured in this video. 😁

The honorable mentions are gold 🤣
You're finally talking about Lego Monster Fighters! They were my favourite line when I was a kid

I'd want to get a hug from that vampire. But then he would probably bite my neck.

How has PhantomStrider not run out of things to talk about yet?!
The ghost minifigures hoods look like generic ghost costumes to me
RIGHT?! I don't know where the heck this dude's head was at when he compared them to freaking KKK hoods. That's about as asinine as you get there, and this was the same dude that went on a tirade about a company's slogan of Life's Good!🤦🏾♂️

I actually have the Lego Venom head. And I loved building it.
I actually had the Ghost Train when I was 6. It was awesome
It's always a good day when strider talks about Lego 😊
The honorable mentions really made me laugh
21:30 This reminds me of that one episode of Arthur.
True
That not blood on the zombie, it’s red sauce of course
Love the ghost train. Used to run around my grandma's house dragging it along the floor to make it go.
the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean cannibal island set is really creepy too, considering the cages weren't built until after they got there in the movie
You're definitely way overthinking the ghost design. Would you think the Ghostbusters logo is offensive?
Please Make Top 10 Worst UA-cam/Web Cartoons!

I love the Lego Monster Fighters sets, Lego Hidden Side sets and the Harry Potter Graveyard Duel set
I immediately jumped into your video the moment I saw it in my UA-cam feed.
The second there was a notification, I clicked
"Its gallows, right? Look, if it's gallows, say it's gallows -- I. can take it."

Love the Lego videos Strider! Keep up the great work!
the child inside was both terrified and enlightened great video guys x
I remember my brother's friend just telling me that Fright Knights are too scary for me for little reason other than that I was two years younger.
Well this was A surprise ty strider for the upload
The Cat and Mouse set is CUTE, and I want it!

Could you do a video on the top ten best/worst Gargoyles episodes?
The Haunted House set is actually the final set from the LEGO Adventurers line. The portrait of the series villain, Sam Sinister, indicates that this was his house.
I have the carnage Lego and it is one of my favorites! Venom is definitely next!
Why have you not gotten a mil subs your like vids are so chill to watch. Hope you make some more vids soon
I have the Venom bust. Pretty beautiful display piece.
I agree with the supposed Ghost looking like something else.
It’s a great day when its another LEGO video 🥲
I remember having the mummy set from LEGO Studios
Normaly I don't have a set you talk about but I do have the venom head and I think it is pretty cool and scary

That Venom set is in my room watching me sleep every night
"Plays Ghost train from Lego Batman"

I vote ghost train no.1 and the ghosts don’t look like what you suggested. Besides, kids would never know unless you purposely told them…
I remember having that old school vaplmpire minifig and that one definitely has blood on his pocket napkin
21:05 funniest thing I heard all day
That's not a Demogorgon, that's someone dressed up as a Corpse Arum flower!

I actually own that Lego Stranger Things set. It’s one of my favorite sets I ever build.
I have that upside down set, and also stranger things brickheadz, as about ghosts, first thing that popped in my mind is same thing you mentioned 😂
Aside from Geofry the Giraffe, I'm with Strider on this.
The Honorable mentions aren't scary.
These were some pretty cool sets! The ghost train has to be my favorite of the bunch. Lol, had no idea that there was a LEGO Stranger Things now.

Today's lesson is if you want to make LEGO look scary, make fake bones for any scary set.
I believe Béla Lugosi would spin in his grave when ever someone speaks good things about Twilight.
Me, personally, I think the first Venom movie is better than the sequel.
But I did buy both Venom and Carnage Lego heads.
You've had Hello Fresh already. That works out well
1:11 WAIT WHAT THE F-
I actually want that skeleton train!
22:14-22:18 Me thinks someone forgot about the Oogie Boogie Man (Even if he's not part of the set)...
Everybody knows Belleville, scala and Galador are the most scary Lego sets
Scary must be up Boo's alley
Hey phantomstrider, i wonder if you could give us a video explaining why you dont like south park anymore?
The thing is carnage is actually a remake of venom because it’s the pure evil of venom
VENOM
Venom looks great
They should make a lego siren head set
AND THATS THE WAY IT IS 👏
What up phantomstrider how you been
I really loved these sets just because of the cool looking sets, the app was ok
I had the hearse set. Wish they took off more
Bone train? Missed Rick and Morty crossover
