2024 Circle of Excellence: Shades of Summer Landscaping & Maintenance

Five years and counting, the team at Shades of Summer continues to maintain the Lippay residence, a charming Dundas, Ontario property, after completing comprehensive work designing and building this photogenic landscape.
Shades’ ongoing maintenance proceeded after a monthslong installation of intricate stonework, interlock, landscape lighting, and a range of plant material with a year-round bloom cycle that delivers visual interest at all times of the year.
This gorgeous property has been a stop on local garden tours, and is a project that Brad Paton, president of Shades of Summer Landscaping & Maintenance, always looks forward to visiting and maintaining.
“I really enjoy working on that project. I’d say that was one I really dove into personally,” Paton said. “The homeowners and I really connected and I gave them something really special. We really went overboard, thought it through and put a lot of time into it.”
As a 2024 Circle of Excellence recipient, Shades of Summer Landscaping & Maintenance is in the running for a national award for Residential Landscape Maintenance. The grand winners of each of the five national award categories will be revealed live at a gala in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on August 7.
