Plot Summary:
Ishtakamya is a love triangle, if you had not already realised by the presence of two leading ladies. A doctor and his patient fall in love. Songs in beautiful locations follow. The director adds his pet technique of sprinkling localised dialects and local rituals. Then enter the 'other' woman. The second half of the film has a much better combination of emotions. The emotional upheavals of complicated relationships are narrated as a matter of fact. Though there is enough meat in the story (adapted from a novel), the film has a serialised effect. A much sharper and faster narrative could have made the film compelling. Things that could be left alone to be understood are fleshed out without reason. Many times the dialogues are too sophisticated to have a natural feel.

The 1st n foremost reason I wanted to watch this movie is for the direction is by Nagathihalli Chandrashekar sir... and the next very important thing which always made me to watch this movie is for the songs... such a beautiful songs... wowwwww just amazing... spl thanks to ajaneesh lokanath... that song of Kuvempu's "naa ninage nee nanage jenaguva" is just my addiction, yet I heard this song in some black n white old movie that was not at all made me to love this much but here in this movie I'm in deep love with this song and especially with those lines " ಶಿವನೆನ್ನ ಸುಖಕೆ ಸುಖಿ, ಶಿವೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸುಖಕೆ ಸುಖಿ, ಶಿವಶಿವೇಯರ ಸುಖವ ಸವಿವಕಿಲ ಲೋಕ ಸುಖಿ, ಬಾ ಬಾರ... ಬಾರ ಸಖಿ..."

coming to the story part it is just outstanding... that title itself stoles our attention... sometimes the dilogues by those 3 sounds unnatural it lags the movie... mayuri's acting ondond Kade swalpa athi ansudru Mudd muddagi ide, kavya's last 5 mins looks natural in whole movie and Vijay Surya's performance is okay not bad... but some scenes between mayuri n Vijay are very cute n romantic feels like to rewind it n watch the same... overall a gud movie by one of my favt director...
