In my point of view, Exetior is not a villain, he is just an Ex-Highest who wants to defend his beloved creation, Mobius with all his strength.
@@EvanKoysWell he's an Anti-hero or somethink like that. He wants to help the whole mobius because actually he likes that world, but he doesn't hesitate to sacrafice others as well if he need to and let's just say his strategy Isn't the nicest ones. He's not a villian because he cares about others but his tricks are terrifiying and still he's killing inocent people. So that's why he's an Anti-hero to me.

@@Brendan-kx8iy Exetior was the TRUE HERO, Sonic wasn't. Sonic was the culmination of what the Emerald Hunter was. A raging hypocritical mindless hedgehog who wants to sacrifice the others including normal people to fulfill his delusional goals. Exetior showed Hunter the truth that his motivation for the reasons he believes in are nothing but his delusion and lies. You can watch MUI Kostas' video to see the interaction of Exetior and Chaos Hunter. Exetior was the TRUE hero, not a perfectly good guy, not a very bad guy either, he was better than Sark who manipulated, violated, raped his victims. He says this during his fight with what appears to be fleetway sonic/chaos hunter. The only reason Exetior killed his victims was in order to make an army against the highests and sark's army. He wasn't selfish or ambitious for himself. He cared for the others. Although Old Exetior was a different person than New Exetior retcon by the continuation of Sonic.EXE: Nightmare series.
@@DevilMarioProductions being a hero in comparison to the things that are the Highest and EXEs here ain’t any sort of accomplishment. This was still started by him in the beginning and his own selfishness.
He always is lol. You seem to have missed the fact that not only do EXE games tend to always betray or assassinate Sonic’s character (and the character of everyone else for the most part), but that Chaos Hunter is also a fusion of both him and Exetior, so he’s not anywhere close to thinking straight.
“Raging and hypocritical” he isn’t close to any one of those things except for the former in the End of hope ending, and not only refer to the previous point above, but the Fleetway transformation isn’t exactly the most stable thing in existence either.
And mindless? Wanting to sacrifice others? Yeah, that totally matches his actual characters description, or are you forgetting that Chaos Hunter isn’t actually Sonic any longer and rather a twisted amalgamation of both a dumbed down iteration of him, and Exetior combined into one post bad ending, and as such it resulted in his mind not exactly thinking the straightest or like himself?
They aren’t anywhere close to delusions lol. All of the EXEs are still evil at heart, the highests being a greater threat only by technicality doesn’t suddenly up them to being anywhere close to the heroes of this story, at best a lesser evil only when looked at from a certain point of view, and the only reason the highests don’t take the moral high ground here is because they too are no better and want to erase mobius in spite of it not actually being a demonic creation, as Exetior was a highest originally. They are just doing this out of spite against him.
I don’t care for what chaos Hunter does lol. He’s no longer Sonic at heart and hasn’t been for a while now.
Being better than Sark ain’t an accomplishment mate. Exeller of all people is a better alternative to him. Literally the only two EXEs who are worse than Sark in this regard (debatably) are OMT and Lord X honestly. That’s how low this dude is, I can’t even say with full confidence that even those two are actually worse. Being a better person than him ain’t an accomplishment whatsoever, the others just have some standards unlike those 3.
Exetior absolutely was ambitious and selfish for himself lol, it’s just not as on the nose as the others as Exetior has at least some degree of morality, but he is still in fact, evil. Old Exetior isn’t even that far apart from his new self, only thing that’s really been changed is his motivations and the fact he has more depth to his character now.
This is why I’ve been saying to take a hint from our good old friend Bayonetta, and realize that neither side here is really the better one, and just to eradicate both.
Both of which the actual GOATs in the correctly adapted versions of the characters are more than capable of doing. Although maybe you already figured all of this out when the good endings and best endings all consistently have the cast members still alive and not taken by either side’s shenanigans, and for good reason.
