lol my father was an alcoholic his father was an alcoholic his grandfather was an alcoholic and all died from liver disease it’s strange how alcoholism is a direct genetic link so growing up and as an adult I have an extremely high tolerance for liquor and can hold my own … my son same with liquor and he’s the happy reasonable drinker, my oldest daughter is the one that’s having fun then becomes the crying drunk and has to pee like every five mins so she’ll just pee anywhere and my youngest two daughters are the friendly life of the party frat types that just wanna have fun..you know those types that’ll try anything at least once.. yeah that’s them lol the daredevils 🙈 many many ER trips with those two😂 but on a serious note alcoholism is a very serious inherited genetic disease ten yrs ago I began having excruciating abdominal pain and would take goody powders which was basically crushed aspirin and caffeine for pain and headaches I was terrified waking up in hospital knowing nothing about how I ended up there tubes down my nose and throat and IVs everywhere I was told I had been in a medically induced coma for over two weeks so they could continue to pump out all the toxic bile from my stomach due to chronic alcoholism and an NSAD induced ( aspirin abuse) tear in my stomach and colon causing severe anemia from GI bleeding in my stomach and that my hemoglobin was at a 2 which my surgeon said that in his 23 yrs as an gastroenterologist he had never seen anyone with a hemoglobin of 2 normal hemoglobin levels should be over 14. I also had to have 6pints/ units of blood for transfusion so it was explained to me that’s why I was coma induced to fix those issues before I could get the surgery and bypass surgery to repair all the damage internally and was told I could never drink alcohol or use aspirin ever again or I will die so I’m extremely grateful for being alive today healthy and happy being able to spend more time with my grandchildren and family.. It’s a struggle at times not gonna lie but I haven’t drank since then and take my sobriety very seriously!! Addiction and withdrawal of alcohol and or opioids is the most excruciating intense pain that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone not even my worst enemy and unless you’ve ever experienced immense pain from withdrawal then you’ll never know.
