The day of my mom's funeral was a sad and somber occasion. 500 of her family, friends and co-workers filled the pews and aisles. A standing room only sendoff for a very much loved, respected and beautiful Italian woman. During a keyboard solo in the middle of a hymn, with tears streaming down my cheeks, I turned completely around to face my cousin. In my best British accent I blurted out, "Bob Mayo on the key boooards....Bob Mayo" That section, all Peter Frampton fans erupted in laughter. Even after 15 years have passed, all my cousins still bring that up. Laughter, simply the best medicine ever!
@@colby7325 - I know man . I've known since 1976 when I first looked at the album jacket . But it STILL doesn't sound like he says ''Bob Mayo '' . See other's comments below . Many agree .

R.I.P., Bob Mayo.
James Brown was the master of using the names of band members, lyrically and as a sort of showstoppers, with a preference for Maceo.
