He was choking on the single chocolate strawberry that we last saw with Wanda, meaning she probably put it in his throat to stop him from asking questions.
@@0saintclark0 well because she doesn’t realize what she is truly doing. She doesn’t know that she is controlling reality to the degree that she is. Her mind is all over the place. She doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what isn’t.
@@sonnykingcomposer Yeah that was also pretty cool to hear. I hope that the future commercials aren't like the strucker commerical which was kinda really obvious.
Should I even be watching this since I only watched the Iron Man and Captain America movie? This sounds like it would be a lot deeper for me if I understood the two characters better. I remember the robot guy from something but I never heard of Wanda before now.
The wine Wanda serves to Mr. and Mrs. Hart is from "Maison du Mepris." "House of Contempt," if translated literally. But a sly little wink to one of the comics arcs that served as source material for the show if read a different way... As "House of M."
Ah this show is already a delight to watch. It’s fresh and something different for Marvel. Like Mandalorian something fun to look forward to every Friday now! Thanks for the upload!
Agnes is actually Agatha Harkness. I didn't read the comic regarding Scarlet Witch and Vision's marriage, but apparently Agatha had a role to play in that when Mephisto came along. Apparently, Agatha helped Scarlet Witch forget the loss of her children when they were reabsorbed back into Mephisto, as they were actually parts of him. I'm not entirely sure if that's going to happen here, but I wouldn't be surprised given the two lines of dialogue in the second episode--"the devil's in the details" and "that's not the only place the devil is" or something along those lines. To be honest, I think WandaVision is Wanda dealing with loss. We got to see Thor go through this in Endgame. He had Rocket, Meek and Korg to get him through it, as well as beer, pizza and constant gaming. Wanda has her reality warping powers. Similar to Thor, Wanda lost her parents and brother--Vision kept her from falling apart before, but now he's gone too, and now she's overwhelmed with emotions--that's my guess anyway. She doesn't want to deal with this--every time things don't go the way she wants, she warps the reality. Agents of Sword are trying to stop her, as I think she's taken over a town and the people have become sort of like NPC's in her fantasy reality. She doesn't mean to hurt anyone, but she's become a bit of a villain, as the people here don't have freewill. Wanda doesn't remember--she doesn't quite remember the voices calling out her name on the radio and she doesn't recognize the Agents of Sword mark. Things out of place throw her off too, but she can't seem to put it all together, though I think part of this is be design, as she doesn't want to remember. Agatha, however, I believe is the reason for this. I think Agatha is helping her to suppress her memories. We know that she knows what's going on, as we saw a commercial in which she tells Vision that he's dead before laughing in his face. Maria Rambeau seems to be unaware of who she is, but we've seen trailers in which she appears to be wondering about the reality she's in. We also see her getting ejected from Wanda's reality--probably the result of her no longer fitting into Wanda's world. Agents of Sword have been doing all that they can to infiltrate this reality with voices, props and people. I think SWORD is here because Wanda is a Sentient Weapon, as such they need to Observe and Respond (response, actually), per rules of their department. We've seen a clip in which Wanda and Vision trying to save the city on Halloween. I wonder if that'll be the season finale. I also wonder if Wanda will be made the villain or if Agnes is the one actually behind it all. Or could there be something bigger, like Mephisto? The show is going to be followed up with the Multiverse of Madness, and that hellish looking background would be perfect for Mephisto and a killer way to bring in Blade, Moon Knight and Ghost Rider if they wanted too. I can't wait to see how things play out.
Loved the classic look and feel of sitcoms. I have read the toaster was meant to be like Stark bomb when Wanda/Pietro were kids. Very horror element with dinner scene. Slow burn and will pack wallop at end.
Loved this! Truly enjoyed Lizzie and Paul's wonderful performances but I also thought Debra Jo Rupp as Mrs. Hart was also very effective. The dinner scene was fun but ominous and her facial expressions while saying, "Stop it", repeatedly was chilling. WandaVision is a multifaceted show which I believe will get even better with each successive episode. Welcome back. MCU!
I would go nuts if it turned out that Mojo ( the X-Men's television obsessed villain) was behind this. Of course, what is happening to Wanda doesn't seem as violent as his usual productions.
Starting straight into the "TV show" gimmick without showing how Wanda got into it was bold and spot on: Created such tension and mystery! (Reversing the "intro credits" by putting them at the end of the show is an interesting choice too... Though, I miss the end credit scenes; wish they would have put a little stigner, even it it is just a two-three second mysterious spot). The humour of the shopw is amazingly effective: Perfectly inline with the era the show is set to imitate yet surprisingly more effective than it should be be in theory... This could very well be a great show! The commercial in the middle of it was intriguing: Did you hear the "Stark Repulsor" sound as the toaster activated?
Yess, I thought I was hearing things. I had to rewind it and hear it a few times, then I heard stark industries and then I was like, yeah that makes sense
I read something on another comment section that the commercials are actually references to her life, like the toaster beeping was like the stark bomb that killed her parents.
It's weird because in multiple tv spots we see Wanda in color (with normal clothing) and Vision in black and white getting like thrown back in the 50's era Maybe it's someone who's forcing them to return ? Or maybe Wanda is rewinding everything back from a colored era/reality
I have a theory that Wanda is controlling it all. During the dinner scene no one helped him until Wanda told them. He was asking too many questions and she felt like it was a threat. Also when the beekeeper showed up and she said no and it started to rewind and there was a time jump. I think the time jumps are also Wanda trying to get away from the beekeeper so they or whoever is watching her doesn’t pull her out of this alt universe she created because in this alt universe she’s basically a god.
So far loving the bread crumbs they are dropping. The bewitched and I dream of Genie tropes are nicely woven into the first 2 episodes. They paid homage to the Hanna Barbara style animation which is used in the opening title sequences for Bewitched and I dream of Genie.
House of M tease with the bottle. I want that toaster. I believe they were in a 60s sitcom in this episode? Next probably be the 70s. Some say Vision’s tie is an Easter egg.
Great video guys! I honestly love this series so far! Just did a video on it as well. Love how it is light hearted with dark moments like that dinner scene. The way the wife said "stop it" was at first in a joking manner, then it almost got more serious as if someone was saying that to Wanda from the outside world maybe? Or maybe it was her own conscience talking. Either way, such an interesting series so far! Looking forward to next week's episode and your reaction :D
My theory is that the government is patching Wanda into visions leftover programming to see if he actually has any sort of humanity or not , testing to see if he’s worth rebuilding , and that they wouldn’t just be rebuilding another ultron, I’m probably far off but it would be cool Edit: this would also be the reason why they put so much emphasis on if vision would save his boss’s life or not
That is a very interesting theory. I truly believe that Vision himself (not a construct) and the Mind Stone are very integral to the overall plot. Loved this!
It was shot in front of a live studio audience, so that's real laughter! Everyone did notice that at the very end when the screen was on some surveillance set up, that the emblem for S.W.O.R.D. was on the equipment and the notebook?
Loved that whole mashup of “I Love Lucy” and “Bewitched” with a sprinkle of “Twilight Zone”. I was never a fan of the Marvel movies, with the exception of “Doctor Strange”. I always really, really liked what Marvel did on the “small” screen (except “Inhumans”) and “WandaVision” is for me another reminder and confirmation of why.
they were okay but who else laugh when the boss hit the table then chocked and his wife not reacting these episodes were strange as fuck and the laughing track super annoying lol but wanda in that outfit outfit at the talent show hot damn!
No laughtrack. There was actually a studio audience for this, who signed NDAs. By the way, watch these twice each. This a bit less than Ep 2, but overall there's SO MUCH buried in these. References, hints and clues, Easter eggs, subtle visual and audio cues, etc. Even as subtle as the background sounds during the Toaster commercial literally meaning something major.
