Exactamente, cualquier que sabe de baile, sabe que la bachata tiene distintos estilos; esta la autentica bachata dominicana que por ciertos estos dos son unas maquinas bailandola, porque los he visto en vivo, luego esta la bachata love, que es basicamente ondas y mas sensual y lento (que por cierto esta muy de moda en europa y estados unidos), y luego esta la bachata show style que es la que ellos hacen en las actuaciones y es una combinacion de lirica y rumba/bolero.

Tanto ataca y la alemana (grandisimos bailarines) como Daniel y Desireé (actuales bicampeones del mundo) aportan a la bachata lo que saben, y no es poco ninguno e ellos. En el campeonato del mundo los jueces son también nativos de dominicana, cada uno (que por eso es un campeonato mundial) es un especialista en cada estilo de bachata que se creo, y por eso ellos son campeones. Bachata has evolved just like salsa did, you have different styles of salsa, and the same is happening to bachata, but among all those styles there is always one that people likes the most, and it seems that people likes more bachata urbana than bachata dominican, they all good, but if you go to other countries, you will see people dancing like this.
si me permiten una humilde opinion...la bachata nacio en RD pero traspaso fronteras,llego a latinoamerica y Europa,hasta en asia ya la bailan...veo cantidad de videos de personas orientales y europeas tratando de bailar y aprendiendo a bailar...chinos,filipinos,holandeses,rusos etc,etc...que con esto,que con el corer del tiempo la bachata tendra derivaciones...bachata-tecno bachata flamenca...etc..cada pais la adaptara a su modo ya lo veran...igual paso en su tiempo con la cumbia y la salsa..
There are 4 bachata styles right now. Dominican style, Madrid style or Bachatango, Lineal Style & Love style. These two danced the three last styles I mentioned in this video. And in the choreography part they also added the dominican style at the very beginning. So I guess that the won because they master all 4 styles and not only the pure old-fashioned dominican style.
Dear Sir, New trends and the public adaptation of modern changes are always welcomed and play a big roll in keeping future generations interested in our culture. The issues that some have taken is with your publishing this video to the general public (who may have never watched Bachata before) as the real and original thing, is that it should have a disclosure of this being a personalized adaptation by some very skilled performers. batata is not bachata..........and this is a batata dance....
personalmente me parece que lo que hay aqui es mucha incultura y mente cerrada. Cada uno dice lo que quiere pero en mi opinion todo baile sea cual sea tiene un esfuerzo y una dedicacion que hay que conocer antes de criticar. La bachata, sea de donde sea, es asombrosa cuando se baila con sentimiento da igual de el pais y menos mal que cada uno lo baila a su forma porque sino seria un verdadedo aburimiento.
I am tired tired tired of seeing those videos all over the place on UA-cam. So ones again thank you for promoting our music, but also a request to all those amazing dancers. Please change the title to something like "Dance Performance on Bachata Music" Because this is definitely not the Bachata dance it self! And not even for on stage. It is a other genre, nothing more nothing less. This is a dance style that some guy invented in Italy many years ago and nowadays they added some acrobatic to it. And yes I know, that everything change and develop over time, so why not change the name as well of this new genge. If you guys wanna get known an be famous, let start doing things the write way. Because the Dominican comunity feels a little bit ofended by all those good and less good dancers, promoting our roots the wrong way. Or is it to much asked...? Bachata is not -your- music. It evolved even from other styles as bolero, son and a combination of african beats and spanish guitars. you surely know that as bachata nazi. secondly, what they do here is a competition and therefore it has to have show elements in it - even there everything is improvised very well. what they do here is interpreting a song as it should look, performed and felt like. bachata is just a good base for dancing in a musical way be happy or not happy about it but this is the reason why people use it and transform it in the future. one tip: perhaps you type -bachata dominicana- so you dont end up here. Even most dominican people dont know how to dance to their own music well. It does not matter at all where you come from, it does matter, however, what you do with music if you move your body and your soul.
From what I know they never claim to dance dominican style bachata... they say they dance the so-called black bachata... you can like it or not... personally i prefer other styles, but in their style they are masters...
Everybody knows that in Europe all kind of latin dances are fixed to what they think it must good way to dance, if there is a dance calling Bachata originally from Dominican Republic and a group of dances in europe create a new version of bachata but applying some new criteria ofcourse people who come from Dominican Republic could be offended coz its their culture its the name of their music but now danced with different steps and a lot of choreography which is not typical from the island.
Personalmente, Daniel y Desiree no son mis favoritos pero me gustan bastante porque innovan, frente a otra pareja que tanto se comenta que son lo mejores pues en mi opinion Ataca y la Alemana me aburren increiblemente, los e visto y al minuto ya estaba cansada con lo mismo, pero jamas denigrare a nadie ni dire que es un mierda lo que bailan porque hay es donde se muestra la incultura y educacion de algunos.

Dominicana te informo que la Bachata tiene su origen,su historia y es de patrimonio cultural del siglo XIX, podrá ser fusiones pero no puede perder su originalidad, porque seria un plagio. De verdad la gente de latinoamerica piensan que por ser latino "lo llevan en la sangre" y no es asi, el baile evoluciona y compara a alguien que nunca ha recibido clases de baile con un bailarin entrenado; nada que ver. Unless this video keep basic steps but i saw many videos in youtube that abuse of that and just make an interpretation of the song without nothing of bachata and what its worst is that they call bachata, thats really sad. If i were dominican i would feel offended by this videos. Personally im Peruvian, latin blood inside, and i prefer dominican style, this is our customs in all Latin America, so who knows better that us how to dance Latin music.
Like anithing else dance also evovlves, for the roling ond the flor and other trics you should not disregard that this is a competition and they have to make stuff like that. I'm not sayng that you mus like it or this is the only way to dance but just be a little more open minded and respectfull for the artist work...
These people may be the world champions, but in my opinion they can not touch Jorge Ataca y Tonja la Alemana...anyone can grind their hips and spin around but that alone dosnt make a sexy dance. She does have a pretty smile and engages with the audience a lot but there is not spark or chemistry between her and her partner it seems. They barely even look into each others eyes it seems they are just going through the bump and grind...
