Spearfishing through a Downpour + Diving deep to find big Jacks

- We sent it out wide to get away from the poor inshore visibility. We had to battle through a bit of swell and heavy rain but it was so worth it. We picked up some great fish including a blue spot trout, mangrove jacks, wahoo, rusty jobfish and green jobfish to name a few.

@DownDeep no mate this is the longest that I haven't been for a fish in thirty years. Going through divorce. But I'm keen for a fish. Getting withdrawals.

They're a fairly soft fish - but they also go mental and will tear themselves in half. Better to go forward in the shoulders and try for a gill plate. @@DownDeep

I have been spearfishing for about 15 years now. I think what helped me get better is diving with people that are better then me. Having no ego and asking a lot of questions from my betters. I learned a lot from Tim McDonald. He has a great youtube channel to. I would highly recommend checking out his videos on improving your spearfishing. Learning to relax while breathing up is key

Mate, brush up on your shot placement. In the guts on the trout and the Jack was point blank and you botched that up. Then both jobfish dead center gut shots. Just so you know the head is the end with the eyes in it 😂😂😂
