Huh... you know a lot of these changes were meant to improve nightblade in pve.... but it really feels like a lot of these will be more relavant in pvp
Really coming full circle from back in the day but with no cool particles or glowing. Anyone else remember each class had its own unique set and forget skill that gave you a cool visual effect. NB main here so don't remember all skill names by heart for every class. Siphoning strikes for nightblade made weapons glow red at all times. Dragonknights had the ball of fire orbiting them. Sorcs had the whispy purple effect radiating off their chest. Totally blanking on templar.
Just wanna say bro ive caught myself always going to ur videos when i need to know somwthing because u break it down n make it understandable n not gibberish tyvm
Love the clean and straight to the point explanation but one question regard leaching strikes will it heal you for every person hit like if you hit them in a aoe or just one pre sec dose not matter how meany you hit
The loss of major berserk fucks my ranger mag build. I still used concealed weapon as intended but having a 14k tool tip on that with a 30k spectral bow tool tip was the best. I’m probably going to lose at least 2-3k damage on MR and swallow soul due to this.
If it's active when on either bar, and you place it on your back bar, do you gain the static benefit from the ability if you are equipped with the oakensoul ring?
I'm grateful for the context you've provided here, by pointing out the changes to the diseased status effect, which hadn't been on my radar at all. The built-in splash effect on diseased sounds an awful lot like a stealthy way of addressing Nightblade complaints about being a solely single-target DPS class! The cleave is built into the status effect on the Stamblade morph of every skill, without altering the skills to such a degree that they all have to cost more for balance. This is really promising, and it's enough to make me consider disease weapon enchants on the front bar if I decide to spend a lot of time on a non-Nightblade character this year.
Not tried it, SOUNDS like they stopped beating up our Nightblades, and are finally giving something back. Will just have to see how it goes, should these become the actual changes. The one I'm liking the best out of all of these? The Concealed Strikes- Not that it was that complicated for myself, but the "on-top-of" bonus, coming out of stealth- Interested to see how that works out. Thanks for explaining it so well... and your luck on applying that AOE Ultimate... kinda thing that would happen to me. Now I don't feel so... alone- lol.
Coming back after the changes went live, my NB is a healer and I like the changes but I don't see much happening for damage. Siphoning strikes made my Spell Power Cure/Powerful Assault with Spaulder even better, I was able to drop a lot of recovery things and still be able to quite literally just spam my heals with no issues, which now heal for even more. The healer skill line is still kinda ass but I don't care as much anymore. I get back a stupid amount of both resources without having added recoveries on my mundus or jewelry, or using magma incarnate 1 piece.
Enough intrigue on the upcoming changes for me to try out Nightblade Tank and healer, with Sorcerer tank as well. Outside of login rewards, I haven't really played this game in a few years now. I'll just have to find out if rusty and developing Tanks still get no respect from joining random groups.
On a parse/single target enemy you think net damage is higher not hitting incap as soon as available to rather wait until 120 ulti just to get 4 sec of damage boost?
Does the infinite archive set buff (soulcleaver 18%) the siphoning heal? I assume it does not affect resource restore but buff of the heal would be nice for an already nice set.
Strange that this doesn’t seem to be factored into Solo PVE tiers… it should make nightblade a tier maybe ahead of Sorcerer for solo play because Nightblade does more damage more easily?
Hey I'm just looking for some help. I put a bunch of maps for sale in the guild store for 50k to 100k. I got mail saying they were sold and my profit is 11 and 9 gold?
i tried it a few days ago, even used my total cp on live which is 487 or something now and starter gear, bahraha's curse and orders wrath and pale order ring just to for good measure, between the skill healing and the ring my health only dropped to around 75% once due to my own stupidity of rolling into a boss skill instead of out of it during my little dps test, soloed the world boss near phaer in auridon and then soloed banished cells 1 on pts, these changes made it so much easier to do than when i did it on live server, it's only a basic test but i still noticed the difference and was glad i did the test myself for a change, hopefully they don't change too much between now and release cos these changes are awesome
@Zeorymer300 no need for that, I do just fine in the content I choose to play and have had no complaints seeing as nightblade isnt my main. Besides, why would I want to be a loser scoreboard chaser when I could just be having fun in the game? Seems a bit pathetic to me if that's all people choose to focus on tbh. My comment wasn't aimed at someone like that anyway. It was aimed at the creator of this video who asked a question 🙄
I for one hate the direction they have been taking nightblade. They have been lowering the skill ceiling patch after patch so NB is easier to play for beginners but has less potential for masters. Good Nbs didn’t struggle with resources or buff uptimes. And losing major berserk is a big hit in pvp. Not saying NB didn’t deserve a nerf, but framing it like it’s a buff because it’s easier to play is just silly.
@@Deatheater4444 Absolutely this! I understand why people who have put a lot of time and effort into learning the class and playstyle inside out would feel hard hit by…I’d be the exact same. The reality of the situation though is the Nightblade is an extremely good class concept, but it simply locked so many people out of playing it because it’s difficulty. I do understand there has to be a middle ground. They can’t make it so that those who aren’t skilled are still capable of similar damage to those that are…but other classes have a far better balance. You’ll see less skilled players run content and be perfectly viable, whereas the better players will absolutely destroy the damage output. With Nightblades, the casual player is often carried through content where (for example) a Templar of the same ability would have no issue. To say that a class is practically unplayable unless you are advanced is poor game design. On the flip side, so is nerfing the damage capability of those who, as previously mentioned, have put the time and effort into mastering the role. ZoS have to find a good middle ground and I believe these changes are a step in the right direction
Nah i talk about hybrid pots.. Now pots gives you either spell or weapon crit they must change it to crit only to imo with all those hybrid changes@@gamingoverlord8854
yeah.. no.. missing reave? now we are forced to slot strikes.. another backbar dot gone.. no more easy riptide for blades i guess.. on top of taking away Major Beserk..
This does absolutely NOTHING for NB. Maybe if you are a magblade running in a zerg these will help. A solo player will not benefit from this. As a real NB the objective is to be able to kill single targets fast and move on. Why would I want more time to kill? Who uses incap then stands around for 12 seconds???? These are pointless.
I absolutely love the 'works on both bars' changes
Huh... you know a lot of these changes were meant to improve nightblade in pve.... but it really feels like a lot of these will be more relavant in pvp
Zos is incapable of separating the two
@@Supadrumma441 God knows why
This is a massive nerf to an already bad pve class and a sidegrade for pvp.
I have to agree, its not like with maj beserk we were topping damage charts or anything.@@lukasr1166
A lot of pvpers I've talked to about it aren't excited about the changes either so I guess we'll see
Siphoning Strikes changes for my Blood for Blood Vampire DPS are amazing!! Also, for my tank!!
I am personally really excited for the change to Siphoning Strikes for my NB tank, gonna be a lot more practical to use and benefit from.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like I will start playing my NB more.

As a stamblade main, i approve.

No. Used to be that way but zenimax noticed sorcs abusing it and the no 2nd bar mechanic in cloudrest so the fixed it
Real question is do duel bar skills work on a 1 bar build ?
genius
Typically no, zos learned a while back that was a bad idea lol but it is zos so they might have forgot
No, Oakensoul doesn't allow that (anymore)

I've been away from the game for a well over a year, and I've mained Nightblade since the beginning of the game. These are really nice changes
Wow open up about spot on bar!! Always had concealed on both bars

All of these changes are insane for pvp
I’m on Xbox and I started playing 3 months ago. Nightblade was my first character and it’s always been like this.
that syphoning change is hype! i get why people hated it before but i always loved the skill and it looks absolutely cracked now
This sounds really interesting. Can’t wait for them to go live and give them a go.
Haven't tried it yet, but look forward to doing so.
May I ask what you played magicka or stamina
Think I'm going to love it for my brawlerblade

I was wondering the same!

So for pve and pvp now better stam or magica nb?
I wonder if I’ll be able to make my NB tank good again
Nice video and all but how do I get the assassin skill line
Build a nightblade character and you will see it 😊
Is this potentially the march update?
I love the changes and I main a Nightblade in PvP
love the old animation speed

It also makes Nightblades no damage mode

Maintenance buffs are boring and anti-fun. Just because you get used to bad design doesn't make it good.

This is crazy good..
I agree
this update just made my nightblade stronger lol
Actually, Concealed weapon is FAR BETTER than surprise attack and it seems that that isn't going to change... or am i wrong?
Does this improve cleave though? NB cleave is so sad
No
I hope 1 day they gonna remove spell n weapon crit and turn it into the Crit only... We usin everythin hybrid except crit... it hurts deeply 😭😭
doesn't it not really effect anything? Abilities should take the highest of ur magicka or stamina, and the highest of your weapon or spell dmg no?
Nah i talk about hybrid pots.. Now pots gives you either spell or weapon crit
they must change it to crit only to imo with all those hybrid changes@@gamingoverlord8854
They nerf siphoning strikes
How is it a nerf? It gives more health now, doesn't need to be cast, but if you do cast it you get a good bit of resources
great changes
