  • Description...set to music Longbridge from the early years to the 1980s, I think just about every Austin/BMC/BL car is covered here. Taken as usual from VHS there are a lot of drop outs and spots especially at the beginning, the tape is worn, I was debating whether to upload this or not because of the poor quality but decided to do so now before the tape becomes unplayable.

Hello Jack, going over your old blogs, great to see but shame we still have not got and car industries owned by Briton. When will big businesses come back and make things to be self-sufficient? Instead of racing after a big profit it was always in industries 10 years to make a profit on new machines. Are well. What ever happened? Happy New year to you. Take care all the best from my family to yours.

Happy new year Rob, the problem these days is stuff can be made cheaper abroad, also this green obsession, it seems we export our jobs and carbon emissions to other country's just so we can take the moral high ground . After all Britain only accounts for about 1% of total emissions, but at least we don't produce them we pay others to do it. The old stuff is getting watched again which is nice, the Austin A35 film has calmed down to more normal levels I'll never know what makes a film take off like that it's a complete mystery to me, so all the best Rob take care👍

I do have the set somewhere on VHS warts and all, all the sections I have uploaded so far actually amount to about 90% of both films though, however, my main pc,s are in my workshop and the workshop is not on broadband, I use a dongle for access and it's slow, and believe it or not I have to use an aging XP pc for the transfer, I will upload them but it will be a while.

BAE Systems asset-stripped it before, BMW bought it & in reality, BAE Systems, had no reason to sell that company, anyway.

Modern Cars are so absurdly Boring and Dull in Comparison .
