From Christian, to Islam to Atheist | Part 1
On this episode of Something Nice with Dinano, we speak to Isa Conning who started his spiritual journey as a young Christian, raised both Seventh Day-Adventist and Catholic.
His involvement in a Christian gospel group awakened an interest in the different approach in worship from different Christian sects. This interest further prompted him to ask questions on Christianity and the Bible.
His search for truth and deep questions on the authenticity of the Bible left him unsatisfied with the religion of Christ. He later found wisdom and some answers in Islam,only for a few years though.
As he grew in the Muslim religion, he continued to have other questions for his religion which cannot be answered satisfactory.
Isa went as far as becoming a deputy Imam, but his yearning for truth was left wanting...this is his story, from Christian, to Islam to Atheism.

Sun sitting in murky water is something that God was revealing that the man thought of the event. It isn't God was making a claim of statement that Sun is sitting in the murky water, but rather God was revealing what the man thought of the event.
It clearly says, that the man found it, in other words he thought so.
Quran 18:86] Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, *he found it set in a spring of murky water* : Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness."
11:54 it doesn’t make sense. He said what if there’s no God, then why would I waste my life to pray, fast and do charity and so. And he would rather sit in the park with his son and do good deeds. The question is doesn’t charity and fasting and treating your neighbor in a good way and these things count as good deeds. I think this is just a way to justify denying God. An excuse. Arguments can be made that if one lives his life as he described, the person would do whatever he wants, he can have sex outside of marriage, rape, theft (Duh there’s no God), killing, incest, sodomy. Which he seems to ignore it for a reason.
It seems his faith was affected by his childhood, I have a friend with a similar background who almost left the church! sometimes its about lacking a personal experience (Damascene-moment) that makes people leave

Yeah. He was so invested as a kid in this religion that he began to see everything that was wrong with it. A “Personal relationship” or not he wanted to know what he was told to blindly believe. He learned that no evidence is found to prove the existence of a “god”.

No, I lost my faith because of STUDY... AND REASON ...AND LOGIC ...and searching for real answers. The only reason YOU believe is because that is what your parents taught you. Experience means nothing in the search for truth. It's like emotion. You have to put these subjective things aside if you want to find real answers.
Is it amazing how the "experience" of Hindu leads him to conclude Hinduism is true?... and the experience of a Muslim leads him to conclude Islam is correct? 😅😅😅
Your entire world view has been shaped by your childhood indoctrination.
If you study all those holy books and look at the history in an academic way... and remove the emotion... its the best way to become an atheist!

Quran 22:40
[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, " Our Lord is God " And were it not that God checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of God is much mentioned. And God will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, God is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
Note: Why did Allah protected Churches and Synagogues if they worship false Allah ?

Quran 5 48
''...... If God wanted He could have made all of you a single nation.( ie single religion ) But He willed otherwise in order to test you in what He has given you (ie Scriptures) therefore try to excel one another in good deeds. Ultimately you all shall return to God then He will show you the truth of those matters in which you '' >DISPUTE verb < not noun like other religions
Islam mean "submission" to God
( The above verse saying is that God will not accept a religion from the >MUSLIM< and the Non-Muslims but total "submission" to God )
Question: How Can Muslim And the Non-Muslim "submit" to the God?
Answer: Be kind to other human beings and Do not lie, Do not steal, Do not cheat, Do not hurt others, Do not be prideful and Do the charity work.
Note: If you obeyed all the ABOVE Allah-God's moral laws "YOU" submitted to God.( ie Islam mean "submission" to God )
The only people who will enter Paradise those who '' Submitted to God '' ( ie by good deeds )
God does NOT accept your religion of birth but only ''Your Total'' Submission to Him.
( God Allows Interfaith Marriages And Eat Food From the Christian And Jew And Vice Versa )
Quran 5:5
''This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture (ie Christian and Jew) is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers (ie Muslim ) and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture (ie Christian and Jew) before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless and he in the Hereafter will be among the losers.''
Note: > Only < Islam allows interfaith marriages (>14 hundredsSame God< but They are >ALL Corrupt< more or less, some more than others from their original foundational teaching. The older religion are MORE corrupted than newer religion.
Question to Muslim and Christian:
Does God / Allah only answer your pray ?
And God / Allah does not answer non Muslim / non Christian pray?
Did Allah '' Canceled '' all other religions Judaism and Christianity?
Quran 5:48

On the day of judgement God will ''NOT'' judge humanity bases on Sunni Muslim sect VS Shia Muslim sect ''NOR'' by Muslim VS non-Muslim >but< Doer of Goods VS Doer of Evils.
'' YOUR " birth in the Muslim's family is NOT a > qualification < for to enter the Paradise.
'' YOUR " religion / sect / foot long beard is NOT a > qualification < for to enter the Paradise.
The > qualification < to enter Paradise is > Faith in God and Good Work

Jesus is the only way Jesus was the only one that said his blood he's the only one that was without sin and he came on this Earth and he was born of a virgin and then when he got older and begin to minister and he told the disciples when you see me you seen the Father the father and I are one so Jesus is God in the flesh if you don't say Jesus was God in the flesh and your Antichrist so thank God for true Christianity Born again spirit-filled who love truth Jesus knows how to save the soul that sinneth if they truly want to be saved turn to Jesus today and be saved why will you die this is my message to everyone I thank God for great testimonies for those who God Drew unto himself and showed him their sins so that they might be able to receive Jesus in their heart hallelujah,
Jesus makes it clear that you have to be born again to enter the kingdom of God-John 3:3. God doesn’t care if you grew up a Christian and do vain traditional works, Jesus said this in Matthew 7:22-13 ““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”) notice how Jesus said he’ll tell many on judgement day “I never knew you”? The Bible makes it clear that we are saved by having a personal relationship with God by walking in his Holy Spirit. God wants our hearts, why in your minds would you think an eternal God is pleased when mortals do vain religious traditional works? God wants us to seek him and know him.

@@SomethingNicewithDinano do you really believe His disciples would lie about the resurrection for the gain of death and imprisonment? I get it if they gained power and riches off of Jesus, if that happened I Probably wouldn’t believe in the gospel but the fact how they suffered for the sake of the gospel tells you that something happened to them to empower their faith because if Jesus was a phony then why would they risk their one human life for something that’s fake? Paul and the first Christian’s started a movement around pagan rome preaching the gospel to the gentiles as Jesus commanded, if you knew history of the Roman’s then you would understand that preaching another religion to devout pagans was a automatic prison sentence and even death. Am sure you heard of empire nero, that man killed and hung Christians on the streets of Rome to put fear into them to stop preaching the gospel but the church only grew stronger from that and the gospel was spreading all over rome. Paul and the apostles wrote many letters of enduring hardships and tribulations and they say in their letters to count it with joy that you are worthy to suffer with Christ. The apostles personally knew Jesus and witnessed his miracles and prophecies about him in the Old Testament cause of that they sacrificed their life’s so the gospel could spread around the earth. Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”) now by the help of technology we are almost there.

What he mistakenly called ockham's razor is actually pascal's wager. He just got them confused. That said interesting. More robust than Maponga at least. Most of the things he brought up though are answered by Christian theologians. Most of them thousands of years ago already. Still robust discussion though.
