Great topic....for me "rich" is happiness and health...here in the USA we are only "rich" if we have money..Still surprising how happy Filipinos are without almost no money, maybe we can learn something from them. Take care.

In august of 2019 I went back to America for two months and lived in a boarding house type room.
The room rent was $800.00 a month. (about 40,000 PHP).
I had to look hard to find a room for this price.

For reference my pastor earns $120 a month in a small church in a small city in Mindanao. His wife earns $210 as a school teacher with a degree. They get by alright, but just barely. They have a modest but decent house, have never owned a multi cab or car or even a motorcycle. My brother bought a scooter for them. Air conditioning is only a dream for them. They have a tv only because the church gave them one as a gift. They have three children. I will 'adopt' their kids if they need help.

I live in Seattle and you have to make a minimum of at least $3000 a month take home to be consider getting by and that’s on a single status. If you have a wife plus kids it would be very hard to make it out here. That’s why there are so many homeless here in Seattle. Anyway, stumble across your channel and I subscribed. The Filipinos will never really understand we are not rich by our standards and we will never be able to understand how the daily struggle they go through is as difficult as it is.
We are all rich. We are just surrounded by lots of other rich people so we see ourselves as normal.

I have seen many people that flaunt money and most of the money is OFW related. I know a guy that has a vehicle and hires it with him for transportation and he gets a monthly stipend from his daughter living in the USA. kinda shameful in my honest opinion but thats how they are, he's around 48 years old. I have noticed lots and lots of new cars are all over the place as of now. They have no idea what the costs are in other countries, our tax bill would make them pass out if they had to pay it. I still think building a home and selling or renting it in the PI is something that could work for income potential.
